I purchased a pair of sandals Comfit size 6 from your show room in 3rd Block Jayanagar, Bangalore two weeks back. Suddenly one slipper gave way while I was in my office leaving me in a very embarrassing situation as I could not walk. I had to buy a new pair by borrowing my colleague's slippers to reach the shoe shop. Today(10th May 2015) when I took the faulty sandals to the show room they flatly refused to exchange it. I was asked to leave the sandals with them to get it repaired and return. As I did not expect this situation, I did not retain the original receipt though the bag in which the sandals were given is still with me. The person at the counter was not at all helpful and when I said this could be my last purchase from Bata, he replied that it is my decision. We expect more customer friendly staff. I am giving below the picture of the faulty sandal and expect a replacement.
