auto — Wrong Meter

Sir,

I travelled by auto from Basheerbagh to Ramanthpur, the autual distance is 7.5 kms, but the meter shown as 11 kms and there is problem with the meter, Whenever the auto stopped at signal, the meter getting Jumped. Eg 3.5 kms to 4 kms as well as in Rs. also. (when auto driver starts). When I asked the auto driver about the probelm of meter. He said its ok. When I said will go to the nearest police station, he took only Rs. 52 which is equal to 7.5 kms. Pls take necessary action on those meters and who is giving permission for those meters.

Auto meters — Erroneous auto meters

SIR/MADMAM,
I would like to bring to the notice of the authorities that most of the auto meters in the state are erroneous and upon that the drivers do demand the fare without any limits.
The errant auto meters have caused lot of havoc in public, it is as good as looting people in broad daylight.
It seems the auto drivers themselves manipulate the meters just to earn Rupees 10-14 more(admitted by an auto driver himself).

This is a serious issue and request the authorities to kindly look into a novel method of checking this and atleast provide some control room number or something since taking the driver to police station is absolutely not possible.

It is not sufficient to boast of RTO to be very vigilant by just stopping vehicles and checking the license and insurance papers on the roads and most of the times it is to fill the traffic police pockets.
Probably the most sickening and easy going department is the RTO of our state...the worst system exisitng with so much of corruption.
Hope the authorities realise and do something more than just filling pockets!!!

auto rickshaw meter — False Meter Reading

Dear Sir,

I regularly take an auto from my house to office. Usually, it will take Rs 26 or max 30. But then the autorickshaw which I took last morning the metre reading was running so fast. I was watching the meter to see how much it will show by the time I reach my office. It stopped at 45.50 and he took Rs. 45 from me. After getting down from the auto, I just said 1 word to the driver that the meter reading is so fast. This is definitely a malpractice, for which the concerned traffice authorities should definitely take an action.

I didnot notice the vehicle number or DL number. But the badge number is 322/07-09 and the driver name displayed was RAMU.C.

I believe that with the above details, you can identify the vehicle.

So, I request the traffic authorities to take the necessary steps against these tampered meter reading autos and their rude drivers.

auto rickshaw driver — REVANA

A Auto driver named REVAANA, HOSKERHALLI, Cheats Passengers by asking Excess Amount. A Dangerous Guy, I warn Everybody not to board that particular Auto in any Circumstances. He will deny even after paying the Fare, I request the Police of Bangalore to Take Action on such Auto Drivers and for God Sake help the Citizens of this State.

Behaviour of auto rickshaw driver — rude behaviour

The above mentioned auto rickshaw driver (auto no Mh02 4307) started using abusive language when asked to go to certain destination in mumbai... When asked why u behaving so wired...the driver starting saying go n complain any where u feel like.

Auto Rickshaw — Rudeness of Auto drivers

Today, when i was waiting for an auto at Banjara hills, an auto by number AP28Y4595 stopped and asked me where i need to go, and surprisingly this auto had no meter and there were 2 persons posing as drivers. For the distance of around 4.7 kms which would actually charge about Rs.35/- they were demanding Rs.70/- at 9:40AM.
When i asked them why they had no meter and why they were demanding somuch, one of the person posing as a driver started talking very rudely and was saying that they will even demand Rs.150/- and he was also asking me to note the number and do what i can.

The concerned officials, please take action on such auto drivers, because of whom travelling in autos has become a night mare for almost all the people who commute daily by autos.
Alteast provide with a particular dedicated phone line thru which the commuters can complain immediately when the auto drivers behave such way which will create a fear among them and there rudeness will be controlled atleast to certain extent.

We asked auto driver to take us to Andheri station from Western express highway at Andheri flyover. He stopped for a min and then said no, and started auto. We stopped him and asked why he is not taking us to the destination place. He chagned his mind and said i am going to BANDRA, that too very rude and ran away.

Dear sir,
We have been hearing and reading much much about the arrogant Autodrivers in news and papers everyday. Even today i came across a auto driver who had parked his vehicle on the left side on the busy main road in sanjay nagar, bangalore. always autos are parked at that spot in the middle of the road without bothering for the other vehicles which ply to and fro on that road. That fellow who suddenly took a right turn without any hand signal or right indicator which i was about, from behind hit him. Seeing his arrogence and negligent driving i shouted at him asking whether he had common sense. that fellow suddenly started saying me '' You hit and die, you hit and die, what for me. do whatever you want.'' If this auto fellow dares to behave so arrogent in the location where the police station is just half a kilometer, just imagine the condition of people who are involved in such kind of instances which is far away from police station. These many instances against the auto fellows happens only because police people are behind them. i strongly say that the cops are strong behind these auto culprits. the police people take bribe from these kind of culprits and and dont mind them if the public is in trouble becoz of autodrivers. I think to put the auto fellows in right place firstly the cops should be taken into task. So that they get scared if they behave badly towards public, public willl go to the police. if the police should be put in right place the higher officials in the department should take action. if no action is taken place then even the higher officials are involved in it. even they might get something out of it. Then there is no point in the public, cribbing over the errent auto fellows. We have to get along with those behaviours thinking that such is our countrys fate.

I would like to inform your goodself in Mira road there is no auto rickshow meter .the driver demand more money .i[censored] travel any sotg distance they demand Rs 25-30.
I want to know way RTO not start meter.way thay put meter in auto rickshow, its my requiest to Thane RTO.start meter. as soon as possible.

Auto Rickshaw — Banged car and ran away

Auto no MH 02 SA 3046 banged my car in slow moving traffic (10 kms) by rashly cutting lanes and damaged my car.

He said that he would pull over to the side but escaped into a side road.

This happened on Saturday 24th October 2009 at St Blaise Church-CaesarRroad-Amboli junction, Andheri East at around 2 pm.

Please help in submitting complaint to the correct department and penalising the driver.

AUTO RICKSHAWS IN KANDIVALI EAST — KANDIVILI EAST STATION RICKSHAWS

1. DUE TO CONSTRUCTION OF SKYWALK BRIDGE AT KANDIVILI EAST THE PUBLIC WALKING TO THE RAILWAY STATION AND COMING OUT FROM STATION ARE FACING GREAT INCONVENIENCE. THE AUTORICKSHAWS ARE PASSING BEYOND THER LIMIT AND CAUSING COMPLETE BLOCKAGE TO THE COMMUTERS WHO WALK ON THE ROAD. THEY EVEN BLOCK BEST BUSES TO MOVE OUT FROM THE DEPOT. IS THERE ANYBODY TO HANDLE THESE AUTORCSHAW TRAFFIC IN KANDIVILI EAST?

2. AT THAKUR VILLAGE IN FROT OF BHOOMI HILLS AND N. G. SUNCTY THERE ARE SEVERAL AUTORICKSHAWS LINED UP. BUT IN EMERGENCY IF I HAVE TO GO TO DOCTOR AND DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE NEARBY, NONE OF THE AUTORCSHAW IS AGREEING. SOME AUTOS WHICH ARE COMING FROM OUT OF KANDIVILI ONLY ARE LISTENING OUR URGENCY. WHEN I AM IN DIFFICULTY HOW I CAN FIGHT WITH THESE RICKSHAW DRIVERS AND WASTE MY TIME? IS THERE ANY BODY WHO CAN TAKE ACTION ON THESE RICKSHAW DRIVERS?

Autorickshaw — fare card

This autorickshaw driver is carring a false fare card. on asking to show the fare card he gave us the false fare card and insisted it was right.
all the fare per km were increase by 10rs.
It was just a photocopy of some page and was not authorized.

Mumbai Rickshaw Drivers — Tariff Card not Carried And Misbehaviour

Hi, I am Mrs. Surbhi Gupta living in Borivili. The driver of rickshaw MH 02 A 9486, agreed to drop me till me my office. In half way his tyre got punctured. I asked him for the tariff card for the 33 points shown on the meter. He said 45 ruppes which is completley wrong. I verfied later it is actually 41 only. On asking for Tariff Card, he refused to have one. When I asked since I am an expecting mother that atleast get a rickshaw for me.. he stated thats not my job.

Is there anyone who can take of such rickshaw walas? They are actually spoilinng the name of all rickshaws in Mumbai.

Auto fellow is right.

Because, he has actually under-charged. In Coimbatore, autos ply without meter. The rate:

For just looking at an auto is Rs.30/-.

For starting fare Rs.60/-

Upto 2 kms Rs.80/-

Beyond 2 kms. Rs.20/-per km.

THIS, OFCOURSE, IS ONE WAY.
PASSENGER HAS TO PAY DOUBLE FARE ie FOR RETURNING AUTO TO SAME AUTO STAND.

E X T R A CHARGES DEPEND ON: LUGGAGE, MOOD OF AUTO DRIVER, HIS DRUNKENESS,
ROAD WORTHINESS OF AUTO, AND MOOD OF AUTO DRIVER.

Union help this kind of culpret thats why the taxi & Rick. owners & Drivers dont have any fear. And govt. must consider this matter on priorety basis and take action against the Union who foster this kind of people.

Auto Rickshaw Complaint — Faulty meter reading and driver rude

I boarded an auto from my home to my office and noticed that it hardly crossed 1 km that the meter reading started changing from Rs. 14. WhenIi reached my destination found that the meter reading was Rs.35. I am regular auto traveller in this route ie., from my home to my office, which is hardly Rs.25. When I told the autodriver that I'm regularly travelling in this route and its onyl Rs.25 but the meter reading shows Rs. 35. Driver became rude and telling why telling lie, then could have have told that its just Rs. 20, and also told that I could have told that the amount is Rs.25 before boarding the auto. I told him that he sould have told me that the meter reading is faulty and whatever the meter reading shows I have to pay him. Arguement continued for a while and atlast he asked me to give Rs.30. which I had to give. Please take necessary actions. Vehicle number - KA 03B 6761

Faulty Meter — Auto Rickshaw Driver's faulty meter

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please note that auto rickshaw number MH-03-R-7432 is using a faulty meter. 1st he was trying to take me to a longer route thinking that am new to Mumbai and he can easily take me for a ride and when I intervened, he kept on arguing with me and when I checked his meter, I found that its running very very fast. I questioned him and he was speechless and so I got down from his auto and took down his number.

Please do the need full asap coz this auto drivers are just cheating their customers left, right and center .

These type of problems have become common these days

Less supply and more demand has given this advantage.
There has to be some mechanism to reduce this menace.
