On 10th May, I visited ENT 5 for a follow-up and was assigned room number 11. My token number was 2 and even after waiting for over 2 hours, I was not called. When I went to the room to enquire about the cause of the delay, the doctor (Dr Elveena - wearing pink scrubs, different from what other doctors on that floor were wearing.) was sitting freely on her laptop.
She saw my token and shouted, "You have already seen a doctor. Why have you come now?", even though I had been waiting for a long time outside to see a doctor.
Finally, when Dr Elveena called me, she did not refer to the CMC patient records or the results of tests done. She did not listen to my complaints properly and proceeded to ask questions related to my educational background which was unrelated to my condition. Dr Elveena gave her own new diagnosis and told to perform X-rays and tests that were already done recently. When I told her that all these had been done and that the results were in the records, she prescribed new medications. I asked her if it will work Dr Elveena told me that she doesn't know and that this medication is a trial and error to treat the symptoms. Dr Elveena wrote down blood tests which she herself told were "not necessary and expensive". When I refused those tests, she opened the patient records, deleted the previous diagnosis, wrote her own new diagnosis and typed in the bold letters "PATIENT NOT WILLING".
When I asked Dr Elveena about the prognosis, she said with a cold shoulder attitude that she doesn't know. Was this information helpful? |
