Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a tenant and staying at 91-A, LIG Flats, Pocket-12, Jasola Vihar, New Delhi-25.
For last several month i am paying my bill( Average bill i rececived every alternative month @ Rs 1500) on time . This month suddenly i bill amount rose up to Rs 10500. I called electrician to see any theft from my meter bu tthat was find ok.

I got a surprise last week when i was away from my home for three days when my meter consumed 50 units. It is a big surprise to me. I lodge a complain at BSES office via complain no. [protected].But nothing has been done.

Please help me to get out from this problem.

Respected Sir,
This is to inform you about the complaint i made yesterday,7th july,2010 to BSES customer care center regarding no power supply. The billing details are as follows- CRN No. [protected], New K No. 2640 T131 0350. The complaint number is 1705.
Till now no one has come for rectification of the problem.Sparking is taking place in the wires connected to the meter.
Also, Meters of the whole block where i reside are connected very closely to each other and if a major sparking takes place resulting in electrical fire.
Kindly take the necessary action to the complaint as soon as possible or if any disaster takes place then whole responsibility rests with BSES Rajdhani Power Limited.

5 Hour Power Cuts — 5 hour power cuts????!!!!

there is a 5 to 7 hours power cut in a1 block safdarjung enclave every other day especially after 10 pm. This is ridiculous. What is the problem? How does BSES expect people to function normally the next day?! where is the power going???? Its not so bad in other areas of delhi and It has never been like thisin the past 5 years i have stayed here? This is not acceptable. atleast the basic infrastructure should be in place. Why do common people have to suffer?

I completely agree with you, I dont think that the customer service agents employed by BSES are capable enough of being nice to the customers.They sound rude and lack basic telephone skills, they should provide some kind of training to their staff on soft skills. I have been suffering due to voltage fluctuations in my area (Safdarjung)I had lodged a complaint and they told me they were fixing the issue and it would take time, so till then I had no option but to suffer.
They are now thinking of increasing the tariff but with this kind of service how much is it justified, IS IT OUR FAULT THAT THEIR BALANCE SHEET FAILS TO BALANCE.we as genuine consumers have been paying them regularly and have a registered meter, why not TAKE ACTION ON PEOPLE WHO ARE ENGAGED IN POWER THEFT?, HOW DO U JUSTIFY MAKING SOMEONE PAY FOR THEIR PAST LOSSES due to mismanagement on their side as they failed to check this.
I am sure if they have the will to enforce it they can stop power theft and at least, people who are paying and not STEALING will get to use the service properly, I am sweating it out even as i write this as my air conditoner does not funciton due to fluctuating voltage and this is a daily affair mind you, not something that happens once in a while.I hope things change for better.

i am deepak residing in nabi karim, sikligran bag mkt, singhara chowk, paharganj, new delhi - 55, i want to inform u people are thefting power supply through main supply, they are thefting power from evening 7pm to morning 9am and there hno no is 5954( devkaran), 5761(tilak raj), 5932(raju+ darshan lal). they are thefting from 7-8 yrs and i also complainted to customer care or email bses delhi but u are not taking any action and we are very diappointed from u like that response. and i think after this email u should took the action.

Larceny - Definition

Larceny is a crime involving stealing. Under English common law, larceny consisted of (1) a taking (2) and carrying away (3) of tangible personal property (4) of another (5) by trespass (6) with intent to permanently deprive.

In most of the United States the common law definitions of certain crimes have been modified. Quite often the general crime of theft has replaced larceny, and most related common law and statutory crimes such as embezzlement, false pretenses, robbery, and receipt of stolen property.

Larceny by Trick or Deception occurs when the victim of larceny is tricked by a misrepresentation of fact into giving up possession of property. This should not be confused with false pretenses, where the victim is tricked into giving up title to the property.

Grand larceny is typically defined as larceny of a significant amount of property, in the US this is often defined as an amount valued at $200 or more. Grand larceny is often classed as a felony with the concomitant possibility of a harsher sentence. Because of its distinctive meter, the phrase is often heard in the lyrics of gangsta rap compositions.

In cases where services rather than goods have been unlawfully appropriated, the charge of theft of services may apply.

i want to say about meter reading man in the area of dhawan nagar, who is take the meter reading, he wants money (ghuas)frm all consumer, so, all the people of dhawan nagr want to change the man and should be punished.

There are 5000 contractor employee working with BSES in Delhi and the contractors are selected by Reliance energy. Please note that Reliance Energy or any other Reliance group companies are only Market savvy but not employee friendly. They are ready to pay hefty amount to their contractor but not to employees.

Tata power NDPL is much better than BSES in jobs.

My name is Meenakshi. My brother-in-low (Elder Sister's husband) is working in BSES Vevek Vihar as Line Man. They live in Double Story Quarters, Kabool Nagar, Shahadara.

Their neighbour her name mrs. Sunita working in Karkardooma office in 4th class under Mr. Narayan Singh.Sir, She is uneducated lady and she doesn't know that how to talk with other persons. before sometime she lives alone in that house and many types of bad element (गंदे लोग) came to met her in late nights, after sometime my sister and her husband objected this type of bad activity and residential can't bear all this thing so they said that ये सब यहाँ नही चलेगा! that's why is irritate them and always threat them with the name of Mr.Narayan Singh.

She is not a family woman. She always threat to everybody in block that if you will not do my any work then i will compaint to Mr.Narayan Singh and Say that " He is my friend".
and Mr. Narayan singh always call to my brother in low to take care of mrs sunita and do her every work what is says to you.

My sister and her husband lived in that quarters since last 4 years. and no body can say that they are not good in their behavior. they are very helping that is one of the reason that's why is irritate with them.

Due to job thread my brother-in-low always keep quite. and doesn’t complaint to any other officer because Mr.Narayan singh doesn't listen any thing against that woman. we don't know what is going on in between them but she always threat them to that " iss block main rahana hai ya nahin".

So, Sir I want to complaint against that woman name Mrs. SUNITA.

Please look into the matter and take proper action against that woman OR all block residential wants to change her block.

Sub: Non working of street lights & irresponsible staff.

Sir,

It is to bring to your kind notice that two street lights in 11 block near House no 272 Geeta Colony Delhi 110031, vide Pole no C 472 KRN is not working properly from the day when cables of the transmission line running parallel to Patpar Ganj Road was replaced.After repeated complaints by residents of the said block nothing concrete has been done by the department.

More over the residents are shooed away by your department staff citing various excuses ranging from non availability of staff, apparatus, stock etc. Once or twice the residents have been asked about the references from either AREA MLA or MUNICIPAL COUNCILLER.

Non working of these street lights is a cause of concern for the block residents as it may result in chain snatching, road side drinking of alchol, auto theft etc and other crimes which may hamper the security of the area.

On behalf of the residents of block 11 geeta colony I hope for a favourable consideration at the earliest.

Theft of electricity is taking place in flat No. 175, Pocket-D, Dilshad Garden, DELHI 110095. The occupant has drawn a separate wire bypassing the electricity meter installed on the ground floor. A check of the connected load in the flat would certainly confirm that theft is taking place as the bi-monthly consumption is not commensurate with the connected load. The connected load includes a geyser, desert cooler, TV, Computer, heat convector and a halogen room heater, water pump, electric iron, invertor and a washing machine. Inspite of this their bi-monthly consumption, as per the electricity bill has never crossed 200 units per month. The family residing there consists of four adult members. None of their clothes goes outside to the press man for ironing. Each and every cloth, including the undergarments, are ironed in the house itself. All their clothes are washed in hot water round the year and the heat convector is used during the winter from 6 in the evening to 9 in the morning and round the clock during week-ends and holidays. The switch connecting the parrallel wire is located either near the main MCB in the drawing room or behind the door of the bedroom along with a socket. Complaints made verbally to the vigilance incharge of the GT Road, Shahdara, have had no effect as the persons concerned just check the meter only. The actual consumption/theft could be ascertained by switching on all alliances and checking the switches which would certainly affect the running of the electricity meter.

Incidentally, the electrician who has done the job had also been raided in past and caught red handed stealing electricity at his own residence.

As such thefts affect the other honest consumers necessary action may please be taken immediately. The theft is taking place since the date the occupant has purchased the premises in early nineties.

I have registered a complaint in BSES with Complaint No 3957 as on Sep 6, 2011 at 9:45 pm. After this, I remind again at 5:00 am with reminder no 329 as on same day. Again I lodge the complaint as on Sep 7, 2011 with reminder no 626 at 9:00 am, but it’s really shock-able for me that there is nothing action taken by the BSES people. Every time they give me new complaint and reminder no but they are not able to do sort out my electricity problem. From the Sep 6th, 2011 onwards, electricity not came from our pole except all house electricity came

Please look into this matter and don't ignore the ignorance of BSES people.
