DTC Bus — Arbitrary function and dictatorial behavior of Bus Drivers and Conductors of non AC low floor Buses on route N0.764 from Nehru Place

Sir,



It is to bring to your kind notice that the Drivers and the Conductors barring a few on non AC low floor Buses on route No.764 from Nehru Place DTC Terminal to Najaf Garh are dictating the commuters. They are not ready to tell the time as to when they will leave the terminal. They also misguide commuters by saying that they should not wait for their Buses as there are many Buses before them. They pass time standing and chatting at tea stall. Many Bus Drivers coming from Najaf Garh go back without entering the Terminal at Nehru Place keeping the commuters (Old men and women with children) waiting for non AC low floor Bus at the terminal for hours together.

Secondly there is chain of AC Buses for Najaf Garh at every 5-10 minutes at above terminal which tend the commuters of lower income Group to think that DTC is trying to make money by forcing them to spend more. Though it may not be the fact but the irresponsible conduct and behavior of DTC staff is painting wrong image of the DTC.



In fact there is no one to control such unruly staff. The time keepers on duty are helpless and seem to be just passing time by simply making entry as dictated by the Bus Conductors.



Sir, I hope an appropriate action which shall reflect soon in the form of change in the business of non AC/AC Buses for Najaf Garh at Nehru Place Bus terminal.



Sir, may I offer following suggestions:



1. AC and non AC Buses from Nehru Place to Najaf Garh should ply alternatively.

2. Non AC low floor Buses should not go back to Najaf Garh without entering the terminal at Nehru Place.

3. The Drivers and The Conductors may be briefed to behave like a public servants and not the Masters.
