yes iam also one of the person applied for personal loan and i produced all papers which they demanded ( my id proof,address proof,last 6 month bank statement,pan card xerox,my appointment order, increment letter). after 3 weeks they rejected my application due to location of residence.( since my residence is showing NEGATIVE AREA in HDFC bank system).

They are the cheating guys who wasted all my times.

how can that justify my residence of location as negative area.

So dont believe the HDFC bankers they are the cheaters and they will waste our golden times.

HDFC Personal Loan — No credit & unjustified auto debit

I am jasline from kolkata i am salaried in hdfc website showing the eligibity up to 7000 month.But i will enqure local hdfc bank they told 10000 is elgiblity they are cheating had give his website wrong imformation.dont give like this i am upset for that.

HDFC bank is one of the worst bank for personal loans, the bank executive I dealt is cheat and told lies about rate of interest and processing fee. I astonished after receiving the letter from the bank showing double of interest and high fee.
becareful when you are looking for loan from the banks
My saving account in in Alibaug Branch. my gross Salary Rs.9000 & net salary Rs. 7600
as per your eligibility criteria i am eligible for personal loan
so why can't give me loan in your HDFC Alibaug branch.

My loan account no is[protected]file no is[protected].I am not in receipt of the balance amount to be still paid statement from the bank despite my written request. As per my calculation and the paper that I had received at the time of my loan sanstion my payment of EMI will cease in Jan 20010.Can I get written confirmation it as I had taken loan from Delhi HDFC bank while in service.Now settle somewhere in northeast. i went to my college sbi branch for personal loan of 100000/-.
but they reject to give me any loan. sir, i need the money very urgently for my sister marriage.

I applied for a personal loan in HDFC bank in Chennai branch and submitted all the documents required to them through an executive in HDFC bank.When i gave all the documents i was said that within 7days my loan ll be approved and the money ll be credited and i am happy enough.
As i believed them firmly i waited for a week and then called the executive, he said me that today verification will be over but i was said the same answer for three consecutive days.And when i inquired a senior manager about the status i was damn shocked since he said me that only when the credit section says ok the loan ll be approved.
I thought my loan was confirmed and made some arrangements but still i dint get it approved and as its too late i couldn't move to another bank so i am arranging the money through my friends.
So friends pls be aware of those fraud eye washers and do arrangements only after getting credited the money they may turn aside at anytime.

I am Sarfraj Pathan Holding Saving Account with SATARA Branch my account no is [protected] and my Customer ID is 21927632 .The issue is on 8th of Sept 2009 HDFC personal Loan dept( Personal Loan Account No[protected] has recovered Rs.5533 from my savings account and that is also without informing to me .I have not given any Standing Instructions to them.I[censored] will go through my past record you people will find that i have paid all the EMIs regularly . I am sorry to say But still your personal loan dept is behaving like" Gaon ki Sahukari" . i[censored] r personal loan dept will not release my Fund i will put this matter infront of Consumer Court.

Hi,

I applied for a personal loan and the execs at HDFC are thouroughly unprofessional. I have my salary account in the bank since past 8 years and I also have an auto loan running from last three years. i applied for Personal loan a fortnight ago and was promised that the amount would be disbursed by 25th. Today is 30th and nobody is attending my call. My loan was to be processed by Ankit Grover [protected]. His team leader Vicky does not believe in pickin up the phone [protected]. The Sales Manager Amit is again too busy to answer my call [protected].

Its really disgusting to deal with people like this. Even I work for Service industry and would go out of the way to extend all help to my customers. I request an answer for the same. Please do not advertise falsely on your website... its all farce.. Had I known this, I wouldn't have dealt with you guys. I am really frustrated and demand an answer for your negligence and inconsiderate behavior.

It is disgusting the way the HDFC loan executives behave once they have earned their commission. This girl called Nasreen [protected] / landline number[protected] was all honey and sweet while she was chasing us to take a loan and now that is it done she has refused to take my calls.

Also the public must know that even very big amount cheques are sent through ordinary post!!! We got our envelope with the cheque from our security guard!!

Pathetic i must say.

I do not know if anyone from HDFC bothers to read the complaints, if they do I will request someone senior to call me regarding the complaints on my number mentioned below.

HDFC Personal Loan — Fraud system

Executive has collected required document . He never turn up when cross checked was informed to me that the case been log in and will take working 3 days to know the status no one was turned up no call nothing finally when it was checked Senior Manager named NIKHIL & Executive SURESH from andheri branch told me the file has misplaced and he cannot find it which was almost 24 days to revert.
Give me an written explanation for the same else will forward case to consumer court.
I applied a personal loan from HDFC Mumbai bank and submitted all my documents to them. They said they would sanction the loan in 7 days time. But I waited for almost one month and there was not any reply. When I contacted them they informed me saying that Charkop, Sector-8, Kandivali(W) Mumbai -400067 comes under negative area.To my knowledge Charkop Sector - 8 is not in negative are.My ref number for the loan is 17788322. Kindly look into this matter.

I am P.Jai Ganesh from Tirupati.Working in private MNC getting 14075 per month.I applied for Rs.1, 00, 000 in HDFC Tirupati branch near Annamaya circle.Executive name.Mr.Sunil([protected]).I provided all my documents what he asked & it was summited.Waited for 1 month.No phone calls.(I think he was working for commision purpose).Make a call.No proper response.Visit the branch, no proper reply.Make a compliant through customer care.(thier reply:Within 2 days our customer will call).After a long period.

Executive Reply to me:-No proper documents provided by you.Your loan application was cancelled.What a worst reply from executive.I sumitted the required documents..I am not blaming HDFC bank.Very very Poor performance from Executive.Not working for customers.Working for commision.

Bait and Switch by HDFC Staff

I had applied for a personal loan of Two lakh rupees with HDFC, it was approved with ease.
The HDFC Bank representative, Mr Umesh Sahu, branxh Mehrauli New Delhi who was helping me with the procedure insisted that I apply for a personal loan of Five Lakhs, which I humbly refused.
He kept insisting that I can use the loan amount to earn interest by investing it further in HDFC mutual funds, fixed deposits etc.
I had categorically told him that my need is of two Lakhs only and any amount above that will be a liability I am not willing to sign up for.

We agreed to the amount of two Lakhs. It was agreed once I furnish all documents I will get the requested amount of Two Lakhs after deduction of the processing fee, I agreed to that.

On 12 August 2015, I received a SMS informing me that an amount of 5 lakhs minus processing fee has been credited to my account in the evening, outside of bank office hours.
Instead of getting the requested amount of 2 Lakhs, I received disbursement of Five lakh rupees.

This amount is huge for a person of humble means.

I was shocked, dismayed and angered by this as I had not agreed for this large a amount.
The very next day, I confronted Mr Sahu about the situation, he again insisted I invest all the excess amount received in other HDFC products.

I brought the issue to the Branch Manager's notice too the same day. Instead of guiding me about the procedure to cancel, Mr A. Govil, the Branch Manager at HDFC branch Mehrauli, too tried to persuade me to keep the amount and he further advised me to invest that amount in HDFC products. He even mocked me with derision for not accepting what was being given.

I understood one thing that day that's this is how HDFC or any other bank try to bind their customers by their Bait and Switch tactics.

I returned home without a solution to my problem that day.
After much thought, I decided to contact the HDFC phone banking for assistance as I was troubled with the thought of an impending liability for the years to come, I had to get the issue resolved.
The first agent I spoke with guided me as to how One can cancel the personal loan. She was quite helpful.
After being enlightened by her, I approached Mr. Sahu again regarding the cancellation of the personal loan that day his attitude changed he directed me to contact the Personal Loan Office at Green Park for cancellation.

When I requested a copy of my personal loan application he said that I cannot get it because it in the Bank's possession now. I found that reply very weird.

On August 17, 2015 I spoke with Manish Suri, customer service agent at HDFC Loan Office, Green Park regarding the issue. He advised that I can place a consumer complaint with them which will be actioned within 3-4 business days. He assured that my complaint will be taken on a serious note and that Customer complaints are actioned with sincerity.

With least faith in the consumer complaint procedures, I wrote and submitted my letter of complaint that day requesting for a waiver of excess charges owing to the wrong I had experienced.

I called HDFC customer service after 3 business days to check on the status of my complaint and to know why the Loan account has not been cancelled yet. The second agent was rude and she asked me to wait for 7 business days from the date of complaint, as it was still pending.

I called HDFC customer care third time on 7th business day, this time I spoke with agent Zyed, who informed me that I need to contact Mr Pradeep Singh at [protected] regarding the issue, who is the concerned contact point.

Next what followed was a Classic reply from Mr Pradeep Singh, who posed himself as the Sales Manager of HDFC Mehrauli branch- "You signed for the loan didn't you".

A curt slap to me for not taking the final copy of my signed personal loan application the day I signed it.

After much babble, he promised me a call back which I somehow knew will never happen. And obviously he did not call back.

Learning the fact that I was cheated by the sales tactics of the HDFC staff with utter dismay, I decided to cancel the Loan bearing all the excess charges which was unrightedly charged.
I not only had to pay the processing fee, I ended up paying the interest rate for the entire period during which the " CONSUMER COMPLAINT" was being tossed around by the bank ( that's 7 days of extra interest rate).
Thanks to Mr Manish Suri, HDFC added a dew of earning in their pockets. While I was getting fooled in believing that my complaint might actually make a difference, I guess someone else had a final laugh somewhere.

I had requested an immediate cancellation on 17th August 2015, since the complaint was "BEING REVIEWED" they did not cancel the loan. And, since the amount was in my account I was held liable for paying the interest rate obviously.

I have been a customer with HDFC Bank for well over a year. I was happy with the online banking experience, the intervention of human beings at a personal level ruined it.

I will not recommend HDFC products to anyone owing to the Bait and Switch practise I experienced with them.
I will advise other consumers who are considering to buy HDFC products at your Own risk.
Consider other options in the market.

    charged commision against personal loan

    Dear Sir ,
    I have applied a personal loan for a some of Rs 7 Lakhs , through Needs & solutions , shop no 141,1st floor, Kesarr residancy, sector # 3, charkop Market , Kandivli ( w) < Mumbai -67,Ph 32653306,but it was seenthat they where not able to clear the amount ,but they asked for a sum of Ten thousand Rupess for approving 3 Lakhs , Till date they have not approved a single amount and when i asked back for my money which...

    Hi,

    I had made several trasactions with Visa Gold card in the months of May, June and after that also.
    I used IRCTC website and booked the tickets from my account. For the same i didnt get any cash back.
    I kept on requesting several times to the bank and every time i get assurance that it will be done in next statement but of no use and i didnt get any cashback till now.
    One day, i was asked to give proof that you had used online transactions only.I had taken the screenshot of one of the booked ticket with HDFC payment gateway and given them the proof.
    Then it was confirmed to them that it was genuine.They promised to give cashback.
    Today i have got my statement for the month of Dec.
    I am suprised to see only one cashback of Rs.39 is given..Whereas i have done some 4-5 transactions using HDFC credit card in 3.-4 months.
    Since then i have been trying to get this cashback but it is of no use.
    Still dont know what to do to get this cashback.

      I have Titanium hdfc credit card valid up to 10/08.I am using credit card since 10/05. I never paid any delay payment.But from Aug'07 I did not get statement. I complained over telephone & requested him to send duplicate statement and also ask amount of payment. As per discussion over telephone I deposited full payment but when I got duplicate statement,shocked to see the statement due to last month payment not mentioned in duplicate statement. Till now I did not get original statement.now I am requesting you please send me all statement from july,07 to till last purchase by me with cash memo which have I signed. Due to negligence from your side I don't want to continue my credit card. please do needful.

      I want to bring the Complaint in to your notice for the justification in the matter, which I am going to disclose,as follows: I am the bearer of Credit Card, issued by HDFC BANK in the month of OCT-05, Bearing No: [protected] and it was valid thru. 10/05 to 10/08, credit limit was Rs.18000/-

      I have to submit that, from the date of issue, I did not get the Expenses Statement till to day. I had given so many reminders for the Expense Statements, but nothing could be done in my favor in this regard. Rather collection agents started to collect the minimum amount due,by cash(I have got all the payment receipts with me) & many time I deposited cash at their branch at Aliganj, Lucknow.

      I was not aware that how much amount I was to deposit & on which date. During the above period,I Deposited Rs.22,960-00 (partly). Secondly the above Card was blocked by the bank from JUNE-06. Now they are demanding Rs.24,733-21 in addition to the above paid amount. They sent me a legal Notice to me from the advocate for the payment of this amount of Rs.24,733-21. I am very strange to see the demanded amount ( Paid Amount: Rs.22960-00 + Demanded Amount: Rs.[protected] and total amount becomes Rs.47,693-21 (If added together).

      I am really upset to see the figure they have mentioned. I don’t know their method of calculation and it is purely unjustified act. They never talk to the customer personally(at their Bank/Office) rather they prefer to talk to the customer on Phone only. I went to there main branch in Lucknow which is near the Vidhan Sabha Building, but every body refused to talk personally and gave me a phone number[protected] and asked me to talk on phone only and settle the matter on phone and told me that we are here to collect the money only.

      How can we show the RECEIPTS & PAPERS on phone. Who ever the lady was there on the Phone told me that your case has been transferred to Recovery Department & gave a number to contact the recovery people and the number is 3252339. I checked it from them and did not get any exect figure of amount,which was to pay. The phone operator asked me to pay the asked amount.

      At last, I decided to write the matter to you to look in to the matter seriously and to get it settled from the jaws of Credit Card people. I am really fade-up of this matter, and hoping some favorable co-operation from your efforts and proper action to be taken in this regard.
      HDFC Bank Ltd. is the worst bank in this universe.
      They are doing a legal business Theft & Robery.
      I dont know on what basis RBI is allowing to conduct their business in India?
      They did it with me as well...

      I am in receipt of your notice/letter dtd. 18-07-08, received on 30-07-08.

      I am surprised to receive a notice, whereby I have made the one time settlement payment of rs. 35, 000/- on 18-7-08 vide cheque no. 444940 issued from ICICI Bank, Baroda. The same got cleared from my account on the 21st July’08.

      Pease note that on regular persuasion with HDFC Bank’s collection personnel, Mr. Piyush (Cel no.: [protected] & (0)[protected]) as representative of Mr. Sudip Roy ( HDFC Employee no. S-4386), handed over the receipt no. S 0219140 on 8th August 08. Besides, he asked Rs. 2, 000/- in cash over and above the cheque as part of settlement of Card due if required, whose witness are my Office staff.

      I attach herewith the Payment Receipt. Kindly issue,
      1. “NO DUES” certificate immediately,
      2. Along with the Cash Rs. 2, 000/-.

      To my knowledge, HDFC Bank does not have or hire musclemen brokers/agents for settlement of dues. And if so, please provide me the proof of such Agency. This is a mental harrasment to the customer till the time one pays and thereafter, also.

      HDFC- Credit Card — direct debit from my account and refusal to give statements

      i opened a fresh HDFC savings account in Nainital in May 2008.
      there have been transactions happening in this account for 8 months but In Feb 2009 all the money in my account vanished.
      HDFC Nainital Branch had no clue of anything that was happenning in my account untill i brought it to their notice... for one week i was calling every department possible to find out where my money had disappeared.

      HDFC had "stolen" all my money from my account without my consent and without informing me.
      saying that i owed them for a credit card which i had a few years ago.

      HDFC collection department is calling me throughout the day asking me to settle the account.
      they have absolutely no co-ordination and every 10 minutes someone new is calling me and i have to narrate the entire case to them all over again.

      i am being told that i owed them an amount of Rs. 22, 991 4-5 years back which has turned into 35844.72 in time.
      Out of this amount they have already stolen 12, 853 from my account directly without my knowledge.
      now i am being told that they will settle the debt at an additional Rs.10, 000 with me.

      earlier, i was paying their collection guy every month when i had the credit card.
      In between, Their collection guy stopped coming to collect the payment.
      i called up the bank to inform them but nobody ever came to collect the payment.
      it has been 4 years now and i too had forgotten about it in time.

      I have told HDFC collection department very clearly that i would like to settle the account as soon as possble.
      however i will be requiriing the statements to verify how much i have already paid them and how much i owe them.

      At first HDFC representative kept lying to me that they have no record of any transactions with them and so thay cannot give me any statements.All they have was an "X" Amount of money against my name flashing on their system.
      For two weeks they kept telling me the same thing.
      One day i told them that i will seek legal aid for this matter and i will not pay a penny without the statements.
      Within the next half an hour i received a call again from them telling me about the transactions that were made on the card.
      when i questioned why i was earlier being lied to for the statements, i got an answer that "i'm trying to help you out so please."

      i asked the HDFC reprasentative to kindly forward me the details either by email or by post but she refused.
      it has been 2 months now and i am still asking them for my statements.
      now i am being told that i am only wasting time by asking for the statements since i will not be getting them but the interest is only rising on the amount i owe the bank.

      They are completely refusing to give me the statements.

      Someone from HDFC called me and told me that they can provide me with the statements and after a while i am told by a different person from HDFC that the statements cannot be given.


      i need help in this regard and need to know

      1) is it legally alright for me to pay when the bank is refusing to give me my statements.

      2) can i take legal action against the bank for breach of trust- withdrawing all my money from my account without my knowledge.

      i had furnished all my details including my new phone no. when i opened the account, then why was i not informed by the bank about my account being put on hold.
      for 8 months there was transaction happenning in this acount without any problems.
      when my last deposit dissapeared and i asked the Nainital branch people, they said they had no idea of any such thing happening.

      i was tottaly harrassed because i had to call up department to department to try and find out where my money went.
      when i called up the collection department they lied to me and told me that i had asked for auto pay in my account.- my question is that if i had asked for auto pay while opening the account then how come there was money lying in my account for 8 months untouched.

      when they linked my old credit card with my new account, then they automatically also had all my new contact details.
      they didnt take a moment to steal my money from my account
      but when i asked thm why no one from the bank got in touch with me inspite of having all my new details, at first HDFC told me that they are contacting me on the old details.

      Does this bank have working for them? that they dont have simple common sense?

      if you are holding the money from my new account then you get in touch with me one the new details. how difficult is that?

      when i told them that the bank has made a criminal offence by stealing from my account and not even informing me, i was told that the bank didnt inform me so that i wouldnt get alerted and withdraw my savings from my account.
      it just goes to prove that HDFC did everything with all intentions to cheat me.

      HDFC has been lying to me from the very onset of this credit card story.
      i dont believe a single word that they tell me.
      i am not sure that even after i settle the dues that my account will be untouched.
      they may tell me that all accounts have beeen settled and do the same thing all over again.

      After all they are a bunch of liars and cheats and i have no reason to believe them.

      should i pay anything to HDFC without statements.
      even i if do decide to pay without the statements i will also be needing an NOC stating the amount that the bank is settling the account at and that i do not owe them anything beyond that.
      i need an explaination about how and why HDFC withdrew money from my account without my consent and why i was not informed about any of this when HDFC had all my details with them.

      Sir, I am card holder under credit card no [protected] and I had closed my previous loan by depositing Rs 19900/- on 4-11-09 but the loan was not closed and on enquiry it was told me that no request for the closure has been forwarded while I said that I had depositted the amout by enquiry from your office on phone which was coming to Rs 19897/- by 3-11-09 at this I have depositted and if the request has not forwarded by your officials that is not my fault and a SMS on my mobile no [protected] has been sent on 10-12-09 as due amount is Rs 3926.04 while there is no previous due except the amount between[protected] as per my new loan for Rs 32000/- and on contact on phone the Lucknow office told his enability to solve my problem as such the same is being to you with request to correct my bill and not to charge the extra money which is not due upon me .The said massage has disturbed me very much mently and also socked to know the incorrect dues for which I am not liable, I can not be harrashed for the latches on your emplyees and in case my account is not corrected forthwith and I am compelled to pay amount which is not due upon me then I will take legal action against your bank and liable persons civil./criminal, including lodging FIR, on your costs and expenses.It is also important to write that there was no occassion to deposite the amount of Rs 19900/- on 4-11-09 in advance while there was only due of Rs 19897/- on that day including all closure expenses which was told by your officials.Yours's Sanjay Kumar Dixit Advocate High Court Lucknow.

      This is Lijesh from Kerala, i got your letter reagarding HDFC crdit card due payment(HDLJ:1096/14910), my card number is [protected], date of issue-18/09/2008, i didn't tried to cheat the bank. when I got the credit card i made the pymt within due date, Bank can check my status also, but last dec 08 i cameback to cochin for searching a job.Jan08 also i made one payment, after that my job was lost(kerala-JRG SECURITIES-TELECALLER), after that i couldn't make the pymt.may month my sister marriage was done. i met alot of money problem, now i am working for Rs4500/- salalary in a NON VOICE BPO, that is the problem, i never cheat the bank. April-10 onwards i will make the pymt made through emi .Monthly i request you kindly allow me to pay through emi mode.So please try to adjust the amount.because i am willing to pay.

      Dear Sir,


      I regret to inform you and for your kind notice that I was holding and HDFC Bank Credit Card vide no: [protected]. In that card, my credit limit was Rs.2, 38, 000/- and after that Bank has revised and reduced the Credit Limit from Rs.2, 38, 000/- to Rs.1, 77, 000/-. I have used my Credit Limit and I have already paid Rs.2, 77, 371/- against my Card as per their statement dated 17.03.2010. I had no outstanding against my Card. Only some Interest Charges were Lying in my Card.

      On that basis, I have requested to Bank to settle and convert my some Interest dues amount sympathetically in to fresh simple EMI after reversing all the Late fees, Extra Interest Charges and the unnecessary fees charged by the Bank Intentionally. Due to my tremendous financial problem, I was not in position to submit my children’s school fees and house rent also which already I had discussed this matter frequently to their customer care executive over phone & at least 14 to 15th times and sent 14th to 15th frequent reminder letters also.

      If you see the Receipts & Payments A/c of my Card, from beginning to end then you can easily observe that, I have made already over and excess payment against my used amount through card. If you see my accounts I have already paid the excess amount which the money I have used through Card. If the bank waive my unjustified Interest and Late fees, then nothing outstanding will be pending against my card. Which amount I have used against my Credit Card, Out of that, I have made excess payment against my used amount.

      Being a preferred customer for long time, I have changed my address, phone no etc honestly. As a result of which, their Recovery agency/goons have started to hassle me mentally and also my wife, not only that, they also used abusive and very rough language over phone and came to my office and insulted me in the front of everybody with very abusive and slang language and told me to make the payment immediately, otherwise they will attack me and my family with their team and told me that, they will thrash me in the front of my society and also told me that they will abolish me from my job. I am a very simple Private Company’s employee and simple middle class family. That incident happened for last 5 to 6 months. After completion of their mental and physical harassments, HDFC Bank has sent the Legal court notice to my address. I am a very simple and middle class family member and a very simple employee of a private company. Bank continuously pressurized me to take the credit card.

      Trying to claim huge amount intentionally from customer, that is the practice of HDFC bank .Please tell me, Is it a Reputed Bank ???

      My Credit Limit was Rs.1, 77, 000/- and I have paid Rs.2, 77, 371/-. If my intention was bad then, why I will make the payment for Rs.2, 77, 371/-. Their Intention is how to raise the Interest amount and late fees unnecessary and pressurize to customer mentally. Trying to claim huge amount intentionally from customer, that is the practice of HDFC bank . Is it a Reputed Bank ???

      Due the tremendous mental harassment to me and my family, My wife is not well and she also feels very insecurity. Please help me and my family from HDFC Bank’s Credit Card nuisance.

          Sub: Credit card charges.

          I have not received any statements for the first month. I visited your milestone office Nagpur 3 times but they told me that they are facing printer problem and hence were not able to deliver the statements. Lastly I asked the pending amount and pay by check immediately.

          There after I received the statement in the month of November which stated that there was minimum due 240 Rs.
          I was told that the Mini card issued to me was free but I have been charged with Rs 223 towards card fee. I request you to remove the charges levied or take back the card.

          For the month of Nov and Dec I have been charged with over limit fee of Rs 500 with out being intimidated about crossing of limit and other charges which I am listing below

          I request you to waive off the same as I was not aware that I had over used the card nor was I intimidated for the same. I would suggest that in future please intimidate well in advance about over limit use.

          I would like to have the statement for the first month for purpose of verification and maintaining my records.

          I had talked with customer care personnel Ms Bhavana about all these queries and she had promised me to solve the same after consulting with senior staff but till date I have not received any communication from your side.

          Please do the needful to resolve above issues.

          I haven't received my credit card bill for last 3 months. i recieved the text msg on my cellphone that my credit card bill is disatched.the msg is telling me that my bill is of Rs. 9311. which is very wrong as per my calulation. so plz tell how can i pay the amount before seeing my bill.           This is happening to me also. I have an mastercard through orchard bank and they were charging me late fees of 35 dollars for 3 months for charges 0.35 cents every month of Account secure Plus and never send me the bills for the 0.35 cents so they can charge me the late fee. Besides that they were not even supposed to charge me the 0.35 cent for secure plus since this my account was paid in full and I had a zero balance. They are supposed to chard .035 cent for every 100 dollars of balance that I have. Anyhow I got screwes in both ways, but I think I am going to complaint to business bureaou... They are probably doing this to millions of people.. so if you figure they do this to a 100 million people time 35 or 70 or 105 dollars depending on how long it take for the poor people to realized they have a balance in their account, they are stealing about 350 millions of dollars low key in 1 month for doing nothing. This companies should be regulated and people should be held responsible and put in jail They are stealing money and no one is doing anything about it.

          Hii.. i had faced same kinda problem from my HSBC credit card, Delhi office... after sevral complains to their customer care they didn't sent me my account statements... and one day i searched the head office website of HSBC in London and sent my complain in detail mentioning the cheapest services of their bank in india... and within next day they from london replied me back and said sorry about the bad services and asked me to send my complain in writing on the name of Chairman HSBC at their london office and my letter reached to them within 10 days and after that guess what? The Head Office of HSBC called me and apologized for the problems i faced also they deducted the overcharges they made on my account which was Rs.2000+ and not just this they opened my net banking account and since thereafter i am getting my account statement at my address every month on time.. :)... so dear fight for ur right... just find out your bank head office emails or address and send ur complain directly to the name of Chairman...

            In last month i had not been recived hard copy of my credit card statement and pls send me the e-mail copy of previous month and try to send it reguraly for every month then i can pay money on time.
            One more thing check my mailing address i think it is wrong, it should be like " Gajendra Kale, level 1, GLTi 1.0, HSBC Software Development (India) Private Limited

            You might be written wrong address please check and correct it.

                  R/Sir,

                  I was using a HDFC Credit Card. On 2005 Jan, I had to leave India for an official travel to United States. Few days before leaving I called up HDFC Bank Customer Care asking about my dues. Customer care replied me with no dues till date. After I am back from United States, I used to get calls from court about some arrest warant. Lawyer Amit Bharadwaj was involve with this. However, I have not even received a single notice from court. They have demanded around 17000/-. After I made the payment lawyer Amit Bharadwaj promised me to send the settlement and no dues documents. But till now I have not received any documents about the anount paid.
                  This is a Fraud and Cheating case. Strong action need to be taken against all involved.

                  I have applied for credit card after getting minimum of 5 calls a day from cutomer care.A guy by name Adarsh (Ph [protected]) has taken my signed docs and never responds on the call.
                  This is a lead of cutomer care called Bindu, when i asked how to follow up with this, she gave a telephone number which has no in comming facility[protected] and asked me to Emial a salary slip to a personal email ID because their server is down.

                      At the time of taking disbursement I told my disbursement officer of HDFC that I would be prepaying a significant part of my amount in 15 days or so. And I specifically asked them whether there will be any prepayment charges. They categorically confirmed that there are no prepayment charges.

                      When I went to prepay, the bank retreated their statement and said that I have to pay 2% for amount that is more than 25% of the prinicipal outstanding and they levied those prepayment charges.

                      I am yet to reconcile with this shock and confusion that was created by HDFC.

                      Even their website says that there no prepayment charges if taken on floating rate.

                      I am not sure how to escalate this issue to higher authorities in HDFC now.

                      I have taken HDFC homeloan in 2007.At that time the pre payment charges was 2% but now they have raised to 3% and it is aganist the loan terms .This incriment is to stop the take over because SBI and canara Banks offers 8.5% for take over and fresh home loan.If they cannot reduce the interest rate should not prevent the facility given by other Banks.

                          Hi Guys,

                          I have been a customer of your bank during the period of[protected], holding a credit card. My credit card number is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. I had been using the card without any issues while I was in Delhi, after which I moved to Bangalore in the year 2004. I had updated my address with the HDFC Bank and still I was not receiving the statements from time to time. I had to call in the helpdesk to know my payment amount and due dates. Inspite of several calls the issue was not resolved and hence I decided to close the card and settle it down when it was 10,000/- due. However I again faced a challenge because you representatives informed me that HDFC will call me back for closure procedures. I tried calling in the helpdesk twice but nobody felt the importance of helping me out. Now I destroyed my card at that very moment and stopped all transactions.

                          Now after 2 years, I am receiving threatening calls that I will be arrested by some collection agency. If thats the same I am ready to launch an FIR in the nearest police station and case a file against the bank with Human Rights. Because nowhere in law it is written that a customer who tried to pay can be arrested without any reason.

                          Now at this present moment I am jobless and I declare myself as a bankrupt. However I am still ready to pay the settlement amount of 10000, after consulting with my lawyer.

                          Tactics Credit Card Companies Use to Get You to Pay More

                          Although the credit card industry earns more than one trillion every year, they aren't satisfied with that, and have adopted dubious tactics to further fatten their wallets. Late and over-the-limit fees now account for more than half of their revenues, so they like to encourage or trick customers into paying some sort of penalty fee. And they are now only getting away with it, but they keep raising their fees up and up -- just a few years ago a penalty fee was about $10. Now the average is $29.00. Consumer groups estimate that soon these fees will average $59.00.

                          Late and over-the-limit fees are not the only methods companies use to rake in trillions each year. There are also the credit insurance programs, universal default policies, dishonest marketing campaigns and other stupid card tricks. Many of the major issuers -- First USA (now Chase), Chase, Capital One, Providian (now owned by Washington Mutual), Citibank -- have been sued over allegations o[censored]nfair billing practices and accused of blatantly using tactics to cheat customers out of money. Some of these tactics are outlined below.

                          Not posting your payment on the day it's received -- Federal law requires credit card companies to post your payment on the date it is received. If they fail to do so, they cannot assess you late charges or added finance charges. Still, a common tactic most card issuers use is to post only those payments received by 9:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. on a given date. Payments received at 9:01 a.m. are posted the next day despite the fact that all the major card issuers have payment processing centers that operate 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Best way to fight back: Send in your payment at least 10 days before the due date. If you can't do that for one reason or another, arrange to make your payments electronically by signing up at your credit card issuer's website so you can quickly zap a payment to them and they can't claim that they didn't receive your mailed payment until after the due date. It is interesting to note that almost all of the major credit card banks used to allow customers to quickly zap a payment to them via Paypal.com free of charge. Of course, this must have put a big dent in their late fee revenue so some of them stopped allowing this (Providian and First USA to name two).

                          Tricking you in to paying late -- Federal law requires that credit card issuers mail you your statement at least two weeks before the due date, so companies have to resort to other tactics to get you to pay late. You know that your credit card payment is due on the 25th of the month, or do you? Your issuer might suddenly change it to the 20th of each month to try and get you to mail it in late. If it's received late, they will slap you with a $39.00 late fee. If it's late two or more times, they can legally increase your interest rate dramatically, to as much as 29%. At various times, several credit card issuers have even resorted to not mailing out statements at all to encourage customers to pay late under the theory that "it is a courtesy that we mail statements out, not a requirement." [First USA actually used that as an excuse once and lost many customers as a result.]. Best way to fight back: Always open your monthly statement immediately upon receipt and check the due date. Don't be surprised if it has suddenly moved up five days and you received your statement "late". You might have to immediately write a check and get it in the mail that day to allow at least seven days for it to get to them before the due date. You don't want it to arrive at 9:01 on the due date do you? If it does, you will be assessed a late fee.

                          Penalizing you for carrying a big balance -- If you carry a high balance on your credit card month-to-month, don't be surprised if you one day notice a small paragraph on your monthly statement that informs you your interest rate is going to increase from 7% to 28% next month. What the credit card company doesn't tell you when you sign up for the card with the low interest rate is that they almost always raise the interest rate dramatically on people who never pay down a high balance on the credit card or carry big balances with other credit card companies. It doesn't matter to them that you have always paid your bills on time and are never late. You can be a customer of theirs for 20 years and never be late or miss a single payment, but one day they will decide that you are no longer a good customer and raise your rate to 28%. [Citibank is notorious for doing this. Every time I see one of their ads in a magazine or TV about how much they love and respect their customers, I want to throw up.]

                          KOLKATA, May 29: Credit cards may be a status symbol to some but for a vast majority of consumers irregularities in credit card bills can cause a great deal of harassment. The recent victory of a credit card holder against a leading bank will be a boost to such consumers who are regularly harassed by their banks.

                          A city consumer court has come down heavily on ICICI bank by slapping a fine of Rs 1 lakh, the highest compensation imposed by the court so far for discrepancy in credit card operations. The court of Calcutta District Forum, Unit-II, president Mr TK Ghosh and members Mr H Bhattacharya and Ms R Acharya pulled up the credit card division of the bank for recovering a loan that was never received by the customer. The bank allegedly asked the consumer to repay loan installments along with interest including late fees for a loan amounting to Rs 33,500, supposedly issued by the bank, which was neither solicited nor asked for or received by Mr Kalyan Kumar Sur. The court ordered the bank to pay Mr Sur a litigation cost of Rs 5000 along with compensation worth Rs 1 lakh.

                          Mr Sur was taken by surprise when his credit card statements suddenly displayed interest charges. He complained that bank did not respond to his repeated e-mails when he asked the latter to provide him with loan details. Instead the bank allegedly harassed him further by sending loan collectors to his residence.

                          The clause 5.1(b) under Reserve Bank of India’s credit card operation guidelines reads: “Unsolicited loan or other credit facility should not be offered to the credit card customers. In case any credit card facility is extended without the consent of the recipient, the credit sponsoring bank will be liable to pay such penalty as may be considered appropriate.” During the court proceedings the bank failed to substantiate with written documents that it had received a loan request from Mr Sur. When contacted ICICI Bank spokesperson in Mumbai said: “We are aware about this case and the bank might appeal before the state commission against the order passed by the city consumer court.”
                          Dear Friends,
                          I was an urfortunate holder of a HDFC Credit card from late 2004 to early 2006.
                          It was supposed to be a lifetime free silver credit card.
                          The card had a meager credit limit of Rs 12000.00 and I had hardly ever used it.
                          Whenever I had used it for small amounts I paid back within 2-3 days time not even waiting for the due date to come.
                          In fact I had a Citibank Credit card with a much higher credit limit and better facilities do I used to use that one more. You can check my repayment record with Citibank if you want. Satisfied by my clean repayment record they kept increasing my card’s credit limit and facilities every year.
                          I had no outstanding amount on the HDFC card and in spite of informing the bank again and again never ever received a single statement from them.
                          On one fine day, in early 2006 I called up HDFC Bank Credit Card Division Customer Care and informed them that I was going to destroy the card so that they can block the account. They said I don’t have any outstanding but as a fore-closure free I need to pay one hundred something rupees which would be coming in the next statement and I can pay it then. I again told them that I never received any statement from them. But they said this time onwards I would definitely get them.
                          Days, weeks, months have passed after I have broken the card into 4 pieces and dropped the pieces in the trash can of one of the HDFC ATM’s. Then suddenly I get a call from a person called Rajesh from HDFC Bank’s recovery section. It was about a year after I had destroyed the card. Rajesh said I had about 20,000.00 Rupees outstanding on my card and needed to pay immediately. I was stunned and I said there must have been some mistake on their part. But he kept insisting. He even threatened to drag me to the cops and the court. I felt nervous because I can’t deny that the card belonged to me because I had signed on the application form while applying for the card. Besides, I didn’t have any paper, statement, letter indicating that I’m being wrongly charged. I continued to argue with him but ultimately had to give in. He said if I pay him Rs 5000 –something on that day itself in cash, he would get me the letter of settlement within a day. I unwillingly agreed, in fear o[censored]nnecessary trouble and embarrassment.
                          I asked him to come to my office (TCS, Whiltefield) in Bangalore. He came with another guy from the collection agency, took the money, gave me a receipt and said he would be sending the settlement letter to me on the very next day. Ever since I had been waiting for that letter and it never came. I only have a copy of the receipt for that amount but it does in no way prove that the account had been settled. I tried calling him several times at the number he had called me from but it turned out to be an office board number so I could never talk to him.
                          For almost 10 months I did neither hear nor receive anything from the bank.
                          Now, on an official assignment I have come to Japan and I have to stay here for a couple of years if not more. Suddenly my father calls me and tells me that a certain Arjun from HDFC bank is calling and threatening them repeatedly saying ‘Your son owes us Rs 24000. Either ask him to pay or we’ll drag you to the court’. I asked my father to give them my japan contact number and email id but they said thay didn’t want to make international calls and kept harassing my helpless old parents. At last, I told my father to tell them about Rajesh and the letter of settlement that never came to me. Now they are saying unless I present the settlement letter to them, they will send goons to our place and issue a legal notice etc etc.
                          My agreement with my firm doesn’t allow me to go to India before I have completed 18 months here. I am feeling so helpless out here.
                          What to do? How to prove I am innocent?
                          Is there anyone who can help me out? Can my parents sue the bank for harassment? Is it possible without having all necessary papers? I don’t have any papers with me except for that last receipt, partly because of my foolishness but mainly because of the bank’s callousness.

                          this is third time that i am not geting bill at my residence. i alway pay the bill on time. no one even remind or call or sms the same so if thier is any delay i am not responsable.
                          Kindly note that I have started the same tactics as they are adopting. On phone, speak filthy abuses to them. If they come to your house, call police on 100 and say that they have beaten you or assaulted you and trying to take the tv etc.

                          These agents can not do any thing except to go to civil court for the recovery. If you have issued any cheque and that has been bounced that on first hearing pay that amount and declare that it was the final amount.

                          In case of court, you must ask the copy of plaint and all the copy of the slip signed by you for verification and also the details of payment received before replying and you simply say in the court that there is no money payable by you.

                          In Lok Adalat, you must not admit that any amount is payable and never sign any statement. You simply say that they are telling lie. Not a single paisa is due even if there is due of lac rupees.

                          By this, you may give nightmare to them and they would stop threatening.

                          Since I have started these practice, I am in peace. Today when I received the call from Citibank, I said that I am not coward who would suicide but would compel to you to for suicide and if you dare to come at my residence, i would give you a good beating and would hand over to police after making false allegation that you have assaulted me.
                          Further, if police does not receive your complaint that file the case u/s 156(3) before the magistrate requesting directing the police to register the FIR and at the same time write to Human Right Commission.

                          Yesterday I received official letter from Your Bank that they can not do any thing because time is over.

                          But I was informed immediate to your Bank and as they directed drop the letter in any HDFC Bank.

                          I have done same.

                          And when ever I followed your Bank they have always told matter is under discussion and because this is a transition from different Bank so it will take time.

                          Now your Bank is putting interest also on that amount which I have not taken

                          So how I can pay that amount which I have not taken.

                            I have credit card HDFC No:-[protected] with total outstanding of approx Rs.18,000 in March 2007 i told the collection agent that i am ready to settle the amount in 3 installments he told me to pay Rs.2,000 approx that time and he will revert back wherein the person never reverted back .In march 2007 i got an assignment outside india without any prior information today(3/11/2007) when i was going through my HDFC Saving bank A/c came to know that Rs.60,415.85 has been blocked by the bank because that much money is due as credit card outstanding i have requested them to look into the matter i am ready to pay the settle amount in 3/4 installments please release the amount as i will have few cheques for clearing this week i talked to customer support department lady name as moumita[protected]she said that full amount has to be paid.I told her that i am ready to pay in 3/4 installments the settled amount .Infact i have send mails also to HDFC Bank i am waiting for the answer but meanwhile as they have blocked the amount me and my family is going through tough time any consequences to me and my family due to this attitute of HDFC credit card collection department HDFC bank will be responsible.
                            Before blocking they should have contacted me on my mail id if i was not available on my contact no.

                            My complain against HDFC Creadit Department. Sir,Last to Last weak i swap the money Rs 36850 my HDFC Creadit card. So, after 3 Days I talk the HDFC Creadit card call centre. I submitt the request convert the Emi for 3 Years.

                            Muzhe se yahe done kiya gaya ki aap ki Rs 36850 Emi ko 3 Year's ke liya convert kar diya gaya hai. Mene call centre se is emi ka refernce number maga,tua call centre employee ne kiya ki aap sure ho jao ki aap ki emi ko 3 Yrs ke liya conevet kar diya gaya hai.

                            After 1 weak mene call centre mea call kiya .Tu aun ka answer tha ki aap ne 1 yrs ki emi comvert kari hai. Jo aun ke end se wrong hua hai.

                            Hdfc Bank mere sath wrong dealling kari hai. Pls is issue mea aap mere help kare.

                              They harassed me for one year and i want to share my experience with everyone.

                              HDFC bank Credit card recovery department is most notorious in the country.

                              That is the reason they can show very low Non Performing Assets because they never write off any of the settlements done with the customers.
                              They did the same with me for one year. I took the matter with ombudsman, using all the emails that i had sent for one year, the settlement letter scanned copy and the proof of payment that i had done. Now i have received the zero balance confirmation and the write off in cibil.

                              They try to get you into accepting expired settlement letter after which you have no rights. Make sure you make the payment within the written time frame of the settlement letter at all cost

                              *they sent harassing recovery agents on 'behalf of HDFC Credit card'
                              *the agent wanted me to make part payments rather than asking for settlement letter
                              *they tried to make me accept the expired settlement letter.
                              *they did not honour their written commitment made via their settlement letter for writting off the dues.
                              *they kept on refusing on emails and kept asking for more money for writing off in cibil records.
                              * I took up the issue with their "Nodal officer" as well but to no use.
                              *finally i took all the mails to the ombudsman and got the issue resolved.
                              *Till date HDFC credit card department holds that everything that was done is in accordance with bank policies. (only God knows how many inhumane policies do they have in their kitty)
                              *they have wasted my whole one year in followups, mental harrasment, and botheration.

                              Stay away from HDFC bank for all reasons.
                              I got a call from customer representative from hdfc bank On 27april 2015 .she called me 2 times on that day.i told that lady not to call.again she called on 28 april 2015.she started to abuse me.so I gave my call to my mother.she again started abusing my mother and father.that representative lady name is Tamil chelvi and I got call from this number [protected]

A lady named tamil chelvi called me on 27april 2015.i said dont contact me again.she again contacted me on 28 april 2015 And started to abuse me.i disconnected the call.again she called, i gave to my mom.                               An when I told that I never have asked for the loan, he started using abusive language and threatened me, I have recording with me too regarding it and am planning to submit it to the police station at my place. I even don&#039;t have account in this bank and will never open up for this misbehave.

                                This is Himanshu Sikka, working Bharti Airtel Ltd and i am you A/c holder[protected] in your bank for the last 1 year. Before few days i got the call from your call center by Rachna[protected] which is deal with credit card and she has taken my request for Credit card and i forwadred my all documents and cleared all the varifications.

                                After that she said it will be dlivered within 10 days. Day before yesterday when your feild officer came to delivered my card to me, he called me then said i am waiting at the reception. i said that plz wait for a while i will be there within 10 min and then again after 2 min i got the call from him and he said i cannot wait 2day are you coming or not? Is this is the way to deal with the customer? I was in the Office not in the residence in case i would be reach at the same moment. At the same moment i called to Rachna and brief the matter and till now no action to be taken from her and havent recvd any response from the bank also.

                                If this is your services to the existing customer then i dont want any services from you.

                                And 2day i have already forwadred my cancellation of credit card request to rachna and she has forwarded for the same.

                                My name is Pradeep Kumar V K holding a H D F C Credit card no [protected], I have been useing this card since 2004 with a credit limit of Rs 22000/- But after 2005 i stoped useing my card and only kept on paying the balance amount, I do agree that their was some delay in paying but still whenever the collection person had asked for the payment i made it a point to pay at least the minimum amount - mean while i was transfered from bangalore to Mumbai in may 2007 and still i kept paying the amount, once i asked the collection person what is my balance due and he told me its Rs 61000/- just imagine my cr limit is only Rs22000/- how can the balance become Rs 61000/- he told me you do this minimum payment and you can have a settlement of account i agreed and did the same but after receving the payment he did not turn up to me and again the matter became pending, one fine day one Mr. Nagaraj had called me and told" we are redy to settele your account please pay Rs 12000/"- i told him right i will not be able to pay him in single go please give me an option of instaulment for which he did not agree and started sending bad S M S to me ( i Still Have Those SMS) than later one Mr Deepak had called me and told me to Pay Rs 12000/- as settlement amount with four EMI's . i made two EMI's on the Month of December -2008and Jan2009 mean while i lost my job and could not make further payments but still I informed Mr Deepak about this and also told him as soon as i get some cash i will do the same - on 2nd of April I recived a cq of Rs 72322/- as a final settelement from my old company which was the only saveing I had and I deposited the same in H D F C account My S B account No being [protected] and as soon as I deposited my Cq I called up Mr.Deepak that i have got some money with me and i want to settle my account for which he told me since I have not paid for last two months now the settlement is void, i informed him to help me on the matter and he agreed to do so telling that Rs 10000/- to be paid again i still agreed but for all my shock when i checked my S B account on the same day i found [protected]@ Rs 63000/- had be blocked from my S B account without any notice i tried to call each and every person but nobody is giveing me a correct answer nor are they trying to tell me with whom should I talk to till today ie 6th april 2009, Today somebody called me an gave the number of Miss Nitu Sharma[protected] I kept on trying to this number but the phone is always engaged, I kindlly request all to help me out of this problem and I would also like to ask the cr card person how can you block my S B account without any notice and I request them to look into my account as i have mentioned earlier I stoped useing the Card in 2005 but was always makeing the payment till jan 2009

                                I Shajan Mathews C.C. No. [protected], I settled my credit card with offerletter of Rs. 41200/-. Rs. 2000/- advance given and balance of Rs. 39200/- as 11 instalements. Instalment amount was Rs. 3564/- p.m., I have paid all instalment, In mid my salary account was changed that time I informed concerned person and emi cleared through cash. I said this is very irritating, finally I gave Rs. 2000/- more closing, but last week I received a call from collectioin he said credit card not settled, more amount required., he said settlement amount showing in system and emi also received, but not settled, sir what is this happening, right now due to market crises I lost my job also, in, in last three months I am jobless person.                                 NON ISSUE OF CREDIT CARD

                                I HAVE APPLIED ONLINE FOR CREDIT IN FEB.2015 AS PER THEIR AD ON VARIOUS SITES.BUT TILL DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED CREDIT CARD & ANY RESPONSE OF VARIOUS REMINDERS.IT SEEMS THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED TO ISSUE CARDS APPLIED ONLINE.

                                Hdfc bank charges more than 850 as showing depository charges without my interest from this month as i have never contacted anybody for any service. Please help me what are these charges and how i can get these back

                                  Bank statement request

                                  I have not recieved my HDFC card bank statement this month. Every month on 4th i would receive my bank statement but this month still i have not received my bank statement on my Mail Address. kindly check with the below details and forward my statement ASAP in order to claim.

                                  Respected Sir, I M L Sateesh Goud request you to solve my issue(problem).
                                  I have taken a personal loan in February 2007, an amount of Rs 75000/- from HDFC bank, when I was an employee of Brigade Corporation Hyderabad.
                                  I had a salary account in Citi Bank.
                                  I had given all the necessary documents to HDFC people.
                                  They have submitted the ECS form also.
                                  From the beginning of the first installment payment the ECS was not activated.
                                  The Citibank people have put penalty of Rs 300/- me.
                                  When I consulted Citi Bank people they told that the issue is with the HDFC Bank. They have some problem with the ECS.
                                  I approached the HDFC people in Secunderabad they told the issue is with the Citi Bank.
                                  The clerk in HDFC Bank has sent an executive to my residence to
                                  collect the EMI of Rs 2750/- and I have submitted the ECS form again on behalf of HDFC in Citi Bank.
                                  But again the next month too the ECS did not get activated.
                                  The executive had again collected the installment amount from me. This has continued till September.
                                  In September I have got confirmation from Citi Bank that an ECS has been activated .
                                  In August I have joined WIPRO, now I am having an account in HDFC which is salary credited account.
                                  I have filled and submitted form to change the ECS from Citi Bank to HDFC. (SI)
                                  All the 8 months I have paid the installments but the collection have collected only after the due date inspite of I being reminding them before the due date.
                                  The clerk has told me that I need to pay some fine(at the end of loan payment) for being paying after the due date. I have explained him that was not my fault, as the issue was between two banks HDFC Bank and Citi Bank.
                                  Please let me know what should I do?

                                  I also have a loan with HDFC When I was taking the loan they told the loan was for 14.5 % after two months of EMI I found that they were taking more interst - at the rate of 17%. I logged a complaint against the this .

                                  In between this the ESC which was suppose to be debited on 7th did not happen . the bank did not present the ESC on 8or 9 th - is asking me to paythe fine for latepayment now . I enquired the the same in ICICI found that the HDFC didi not present that ECS on those dates.

                                  I am find this bank is doing fraud .
                                  IF there are more people we should log a compalint against this practice .
                                  This is cheating .
                                  HDFC Bank is very bad bank. It does not provide customer satisfaction. I have more and more and more complaint for HDFC Bank. And also customer care of this bank is very poor.

                                  I have a personl loan with HDFC. But my ank is OBC Every month theare deducting tru ECS from last 2 years. But thismont their ECS got rejected and they called me for the payment.Balance is ther in the Account. As i enquired at OBC, i came to know that th ECS got rejected due o som connectivit problem between Banks, and all he ECSs for eery bank which came to OBC got rejected. Then all those banks re-submitted their ECS's and encashd their EMI's.
                                  But this HDFC pople are pressing me o pay at their counter other wise i will become a defaulter. They are making dozens of calls to me.

                                  I explained the situation to them, they are not ina mood to understand or hear u. They say that it is our responsibility to see that the ECS gets cashed. Atually it i not my problem, the cash is lying in the account It the inability of HDFC to encash Tru ES, moreover they are blaing us.

                                  If so, whydo they tae ECS, then what is their role.
                                  I think they have to gather information from RBI or OBC for the rejection of ECS. They want to put all the blames n the customer.

                                    Hi,

                                    HDFC has started processing my home loan in January and asked me to fill the form 3 times due to some reasons saying some or the other things are missing.

                                    They charged me money for processing HDFC loan and never processed my loan.

                                    Now HDFC refuses to re-pay my processing fee money.

                                    I have applied for a Loan for the past one and half months and still i haven't received the money. The executives are so careless in their work approach and gives invalid reasons. They are not interested in giving the approval and find reasons to delay it. The reasons such as the credit manager is on leave, one of the executives is on leave are the day to day reasons they give. Please look in to this seriously and i am damn tired about all these things. This shouldn't happen with anyone else. One of the executive named Mr. Abhay is such careless and irresponsible and doesn't deserve to be in the post he currently sits in. Please remove him or fine him or caution him...

For which I have remitted Rs.1, 308/- in Jan 2004 and handed over the necessary signed documents to Mr. Mahendran of trichy branch.But sofar it is not done.Pl convert my loan a/c as variable interest rate a/c wef jan 2004(with back date) immediately.

                                    and applied loan (as per the SBI norms). All the doucumentation have had
                                    approved by the SBI team. Normally SBI claims to get it done in a week
                                    time, unfortunately in our case it was more than 50 days.and after a very
                                    dissatisfied answer from your said. Your team evaluated the property worth
                                    of ten lacs only including the registration charges. And for the same
                                    property, A nationlize bank excluding the registration charges

                                    I had taken a loan of Rs. 1.00 lacs form Centurion Bank of Punjab, Express Building, Near ITO, New Delhi two years back and have been paying EMI of Rs. 2733/- successfully. Out of 48 installments I have already paid 23 installments. However, when I saw the statement of Accounts I was really shocked. They have imposed unnecessary penalty on me for no fault of mine. I have sufficient proof for this to show the concerned Bank Officers.

                                    When I approached the the said Centurion Bank Office (Now HDFC Bank) they told me to contact on Customer Care Number. No body is listening my request. Sometime they guide me to go Safdarjung Enclave, sometime to Rajouri Garden etc.etc.

                                    Recently I have received a Registered Letter from HDFC Bank dated 19.01.2009 from Mumbai Office which has been posted on 3rd February from Bombay, showing outstanding balance of Rs. 69, 496/- which is not correct. This is totally wrong. I am suffering through mental tension. May I request you to kindly depute some officer to sort out my problem.

                                    I had financed my bike form Centurion Bank of Punjab 3.5 years back and have been paying EMI of Rs. 1056/- successfully. Out of 36 installments I have already paid all 36 installments. However, sometime back one of there representative called me up and said that you have an outstanding balance of Rs11000 . They have imposed unnecessary penalty on me for no fault of mine. I have sufficient proof for this to show the concerned Bank Officers.

                                    There is this PLR(Prime lending rate) which is decided by the RBI and there is something called as spread, which is mentioned in your loan agreement and which will be same through out your loan tenure.
                                    Your interest rate would eb PLR-Spread. so It is PLR which determine your intrest rate... for the new customers spead may be higher.

                                    And PLR revision they do once ina quarter, suppose PLR has decreased in feb but it will be applicable to you only in April and if PLR increases by April then the incresed PLR will be effective for you.
                                    Please check if this is mentioned in your agreement, if yes and they are not providing you interest rate based on that then u have every right to take them to consumer court.

                                    I have taken a home loan in Centurion Bank of Punjab on 7th March 2007 . The Bank is now merged with the HDFC. As per the agreement signed between me & the CBOP the interest rate agreed is only PLR + 0.75 %. But actually Bank is now charging PLR + 1.25 %. means charging 0.5 % higher.

                                    Despite the written agreement over 1 1/2 years now trying to approach various agencies, But no body is responding and giving a solutions to the above problem. Hence I coulnt see any other way except appraoching the Consumer fourms to address the issue.

                                    I am looking for the reduction and repayment of the higher interest charged on my account.
                                    We are also suffering from same problem.

                                    so i was give application in writing to lichfl's surat area office on date 15/04/09 and 08/05/09 and i was e mail to it's h.o., how ever lichfl not send me my demanded document and he ols not care to give any reply to my appli. and e-mail

                                    A smart way is to get out and stay out of high interest rates of Public/Private banks is by using some of NBFC and private institutions which offer lower rates of 6% - 7.5% .

                                    And Its Fixed for entire duration of loan .

                                    I changed from HDFC rippoff rate of 12.25% to 7% from private finance company.

                                    I'll be saving over 16.4 lacs over the next 15 years by changing over to private finance company. This is money I'd have slogged to make banks richer...now I can use it to invest or get out of this loan 35% faster.than possible before.

                                    Dear sir, I have 2 FDR of Hdfc ltd. which matured in 2001. But due to some reasons I couldnot renewed it. mean while I requested the bank to change of address as I shifted from Imphal to Guwahati. I requested them to correspondance with me at my new address. Now came to know that my money has been transfered into Consumer education fund. When I asked the bank that to whom they informed about it . They email me that they informed me on my imphal adress. When I complaint about this to them. the assistant manager Me Siddartha Basak said that the change of address was not done under the understanding that the same would be processed at the time of renewal of the Deposit.. Now when I informed them about my new adress int hat case how can they corresspodant with me at my old adress. How can I get back my money.

But inspite of the mail and call, they have presented the processing fee in my bank and withdrawn the amount from my account.                                     I have approached several banks in order to avail home loan for purchase of a flat which is under construction. I found a couple of nationalised banks offering less rate of interest as compared to the private banks. However, since the documentation & the processing time were more with nationalised banks, I had to go with HDFC. I requested HDFC for fixing interest rate for the first two years, like other banks have done, but it was denied then. My loan was sanctioned and partly disbursed in the 2nd week of November 2009. And now during the 1st week of December 2009, HDFC has announced that for new loans the rate of interest would be fixed until Mar 2012. I have approached HDFC again and requested to pass this benifit on to me, but they said it would not apply to existing customers and it was only for new loans disbursed since Dec 2009. I wish to highlight that whenever there is a upward rate revision, it gets passed on to all the customers, but if it is a downward one, it would apply only to new and not to existing customers. I don't see any justification here. Can some regulatory authority look into it and make necessary amendments to the Home Loan policy so as to make the interest rate uniform for all the customers?

But till date(02-Jun-2010) I have not got the update for the technical evaluation and legal verification, and I am still waiting for this result to pay the advance amount to the property owner and to do the registration. When I called Mr.Ponnian to ask about the technical evaluation, I came to know that, nothing had not happened till date and I got totally shocked.

                                    Please help me atleast now. 7th June 2010 is the last auspicious day to do the registration, if I skip this date for the next 2 months I cannot do the registration, so I kindly beg you all to complete the technical verification & legal verification tomorrow and fix an appoint for me tomorrow morning to show the original document in Marathahalli, Bangalore branch.

                                    Based on the information received from Mr.Kannan, I went to Marthahalli branch 4-5 days back to submit the document photocopies, I was treated there like a joker, because they didnt got any information about this from Trichy branch and they were asking me 'what you want us to do with this document', and they simply received and kept it in their drawer, I dont know what happened to those document photocopies till date. When I told this to Mr.Ponnian today, he is telling that "now only you are telling me this, I will mail to Marathahalli branch and check the status of those documents tomorrow and update you"

                                    Tomorrow I am going to take the builder to show the original land documents and plan approval in your Marathahalli branch of Bangalore, atleast for this I need proper guidance from your side like whom to meet and when to meet, this is very very crucial for me as the builder will not be available in Bangalore for a longer time. Please note that I cannot waste the builder's time, flat owner's time and my time tomorrow, if they say they didnt got any information from Trichy branch regarding this and if they send us back.

                                    I would like to make you alert on few details regarding HDFC and other limited companies.

                                    HDFC LTD is a limited company and is not a banking institute.
                                    It is a self regulated financial organization and is not at all regulated as a refinancing institute or is not a Banking institute. Sales officers makes people fool by stating HDFC Home loan as part of banking division. Even interest rates charged by HDFC is very high which is increased in subsequent years.

                                    As such rates of interests for home loan are definitely regulated by RBI but limited and private companies do not fall under their per-view. These companies fall under company Act and not under Banking Act.

                                    At time of taking loan these companies promises low rates of interest and then increases rates of interest in subsequent years, which increases your burden of repayment in form of slow poison eating your lots of money.

                                    I will share my personal experience:

                                    I have a very bad experience with HDFC, My loan of 11 lac with tenure was only 20 years and was promised with 3% discounted rates for my loan account as the company with which I was working was a corporate client of HDFC, so my loan started at 7.25% rate of interest and a low EMI of 8595/- Rs only.

                                    In later stages HDFC revised rates of interest stating that my loan is on floating rates, where as no discounted rates are applied to my account. More on no reduction in rates are done at all even when rates of interest of other banks and institutes fall down. Even when they offer low interest rates to new customers – on my inquiry they asked for a proceeding fees of almost 12 thousand rupees to revise the rates of interest.
                                    My EMI is also revised to 10, 526/- Rs and the tenure is now increased. Today even after paying EMI for more then 6 years my tenure of repayment is more then 18 years and EMI is increased from 8695/- Rs per month to 10526/- Rs per month. So I will end up paying money to HDFC for more then 24 years.

                                    So I will end up paying four additional years with new EMI to HDFC which will make me a loss of almost 10-12 lac rupees.

                                    HDFC is offering new customer 8.25 rates of interest where as even when I am a old customer with corporate tie up with the company – I am charged almost 11% rates of interest and I am screwed up by paying more EMI.

                                    I have started legal proceedings against HDFC – and warn you all that dont take loan from HDFC other wise your people will also end up in soup and will have to pay huge for small things.

                                    REQUEST YOU ALL TO TAKE LOANS ONLY FROM BANKING INSTITUTES AND NOT FROM ANY LTD COMPANY--
                                    Ask following questions at time of taking loan.

                                    1.Is the company having word “Bank” in its name.
                                    2.If the company is refinancing company - take in written that – rates of interest in the company will be regulated as per RBI norms.
                                    3.Only those people whose files are not getting approved from banks and documents are not clear enough and are in need of loan should opt for such institutes, but mind it these ltd companies slowly increases rates of interest and eats away your lots of money charging high rates of interest.

                                    PLEASE NOTE – HDFC is a limited company and not a BANK. Only banking institutes or company with word “Bank” in its name are regulated by RBI.
                                    Before signing any document of ltd company please read the terms and conditions completely and take a lawyers advise if needed before going ahead to sign the same.

                                    Please disseminate this information to all your friends and relatives so that they are not cheated by any private company in case of loans / home loans.

So on his request, I mailed him on 31/08/2010 at 9:48 PM with all required documents, Quotations my Bank Statements. NOTE that I have already provided my IT return statements with the necessary documentation required at your head office at Trident Race Course Branch (Vadodara) previously. After frustrating 6 days I kept calling your branch offices, and Mr. Vishwanathan to get the status of my loan application. I have already elaborated on the type of Business, The budgets for each project, My Clientele to your HDFC branch at Trident Race Course, Vadodara. I spent almost more than 1 hour trying to explain my business to your loan eligibility department which is "Outsourcing, Web Designing and Web Development".

                                    What kind of stupid and sick policy you have for responding back? Or all of you are the same from your CEO to your Sales representatives and all the way down to your peons?                                     I had applied for loan with HDFC Bank in Loan against property category, they took my processing fees and rejected the loan, stating this was RBI's policy where as CITIBANK gave me a loan without and took the fee after the sanction of loan... On this when we went back to HDFC bank, the Relationship Manager of Nana Peth, Pune branch Mr. Naik started abusing me and threatened me to do whatever I can, he said you can JUMP FROM MY WINDOW but I will not entertain you along with him the person who came to collect our document Mr Madhav also insulted me like I owed something to HDFC Bank.

                                    I have never seen such a pathetic service from any bank like this. Do people sitting in their H.O even realise that the bottom of pyramid in HDFC needs to be taught how to handle customers for effective business?

                                    Hello!Myself is Dr Rajesh B. Upadhyay M.D. A classic customer of HDFC bank(client i.d.[protected]. In this diwali I have decided to buy a house at Rajkot worth Rs 30lacs. I was having three options for home loan,which include SBI, AXIS BANK & HDFC. As I saw advertisement in diwali edition of one magazine which says HDFC home loan is instant with only simplicity and no complexity, I have applied for HDFC home loan and my file number is[protected]/AM23.
                                    My loan is already approved on 30th November 2010 after providing a number of documents one by one for two weeks. Then I have called HDFC executive and equire for documents for disbursement of loan. I have sent my file including all necessary document on 2nd december 2010 and have completed all formalities by 6th december 2010. Afterwards When on 14th december,I contacted officer of HDFC,Rajkot office for my loan disbursement, he refused and told me there are alot of queries in property papers. But according to my builder, these queries are neither satisfactory nor acceptable. Ideally all these queries should be made before approval of loan. If have taken loan from AXIS bank or SBI , I have not to face such a problems. Other customers of same builder received finance from other instiutions in a period less than two week. HDFC has taken time more than one month. It is my great mistake that I have applied HDFC for home loan. HDFC has wasted my time,money and mind.Now I am planing to withdraw loan application.

Further they told that this certificate necessary for only Railway employees. finally i took loan from SBI as i have vexed with HDFC delay and conditions. they will first take P.Fee money before sanction of loan. SBI is good when compare with HDFC for housing loans
                                    HDFC is thoroughly unprofessional, poor and unskilled people for service. They cheats by always asking money for reducing ROI and always keep ROI the highest in the market. HDFC Guys do not know how to talk to their customers.

                                    HDFC BANK / HOUSING LOAN — interest rate changing

                                    I have been a home loan customer with HDFC for the past 9 years and regularly paying the same with out any delay.I have taken the loan in interst fluctuating mode , which was a biggest mistake.Now my complaint is that when ever there is a reduction in interest i havebeen asked to pay 5500 more to come to the ew slab . i paid 2 times in the last 9 years when they got reduced in the year 2007 and 2008. I started the same with 8% and after 2 times reduction which was from 8.75% to 8.5% and then 8.5% to 8.25% i paid the money to come to the slab. Now it has gone up and the present interest rate is 10.75%. I am keping on paying the money but the period remain the same. For new loans they are giving with lesser percentage. Sir, why is it so you have a customer who pay te same for last 9 years who as taken loan for 10 lakhs and still has a loan of 7 lakhs after paying 9 years. If we want to change the loan to the other bank again i have to pay some percentage to close.Sir, do you feel we are cheated. Again i am agraduate and in finance industry think about a common man who is loosing his house , lands etc to these private banks which is growing leaps and bounds and buying new corporates and making more profits to the share holders making poor and needy more poorer and needy.

                                    Day after i take a loan the interest rate is increased ,Genuinaly i have paid all my cheques there is no any bounced cheque now i want to clear my full loan withsome discount on that, please let me out from this and my loan no is HFPC00000007.since 6 years i am paying there is no bounce cheque do some negotiations.
                                    I totally agree with all the comments here. I had similar experience with HDFC. I had applied for Home/Land purchase loan to purchase land in Coimbatore. Submitted all the required documents and processing fees of approx Rs11, 500. HDFC initially said they will fund only 70% of the total land cost as it is a "Land Loan". Only for "Home Loan", they give 80% for the value more than 20Lakhs. Since I said, I cannot afford to proceed if I have only 70% and was about the cancel the Loan, they confirmed that they will give 80% of the cost. HDFC did confirm the date of cheque issue and we did fix the Registration date and called the Seller, purchased the registration papers for few Lakhs and taken a DD few thousands, Also paid the seller the remaining 20% of the cost. On the day of registration, HDFC says, they will give only 70%. Also the managers said "HDFC does not encourage and provide loan for Land purchase. Because I am an existing customer, they considered for the same". The Sales executives say something and promise something, the HDFC managers, technical assessor, credit assessor does something. Never go to HDFC Sales Executives or HDFC for Home Loan. Finally I had cancelled my loan, lost the processing fee. Due to all these HDFC issues, I was forced to think about ending my life. I had cried a lot. But realized that HDFC is a cheater. They do not consider customers at all. Around 2 full days been wasted at HDFC office and no use. Now I am praying god to get the 20% of the amount paid to the seller.

                                    Friends, please go to Nationalized Banks only. Keep sufficient time between your loan processing, sanctioning, technical assessment by the bank and the final cheque preparation and the date of Registration. Do not believe the Sales Executives and their promises especially HDFC bank. If you want to purchase land/home, please do save amount (keep your savings in nationalized banks only and never in any of the private banks) and then plan for it.
                                    HDFC is a chor company.

                                    You can even get a job by payying big money(if you have) .

                                    MY COMPLAINT IS MY COLLEGE FEES ARE PER SEM IN MCA DEPARTMENT ARE Rs. 23,400/- BUT I DON'T KNOWN HOW TO INCISE OUR FEES WITH RS.27000 AND LAST SEM ALLSO.
                                    I have applied for a home loan at HDFC Kollam Branch(Kerala state ). the loan was sanctioned in principle for 22L( Loan Number[protected]. subsequently I have identified a property of 26 L Rs at Paravoor Municipality region in Kollam district of Kerala state. the property is 8 cnt with a well built house of 900 square feet. as per the demands of HDFC executive I have submitted various documents pertaining to the property during a span of 2 month.At the end of all I have been told that an engineer from HDFC came for the valuation of the property and valued 15L only. but that time home was locked and gate also was locked. then how the engineer could valuate the selected property. and the so called valuation of 15L for such a property is quite impractical and hold good for 10 years back. next day we approached the bank manager and asked for the documents and processing fee. they returned back the documents but processing fee they did not give. in fact they have not done even a single Rs work for claiming processing fee of 11200 Rs. it is clearly evident that to trap 11200 Rs from individual as Processing fee and at last at some stage to stop the loan saying some fabricated reasons. I hope to get a solution in this

                                    Never go for HDFC they will cheat you. And not customer friendly. Go for any toher bank other thatn HDFC for home loan
                                    Dear Sir,

                                    This is to put my grievance before you that I have been misguided by HDFC agent and employees from the initial stage of taking the referred loan. The HDFC agent misguided me by saying that the loan that has been approved is Home Loan but later I came to know that it was Home Equity Loan. Since 2009 I have religiously paid my EMIs right on time but I was jobless and could not pay my EMIs for six months. Further during these years I never got any intimation from the company that the rate of interest has increased and no. of payable months have increased from 180 to 540 .Approached Mr. Sidharth Agarwal who committed to pay an amount against which the interest put on me will be waived off and further committed that I will have to pay approx. Rs. 2000 which will reduce the rate of interest and no. of payable months.. I went all the way from Faridabad to Munirka and settled the dues by handing over the cheque to Mr. Sidharth Agarwal, honoring his words.He has committed that after clearance of the cheque, interest will be waived off and it will be reflected online in my account within a week but it never happened.After clearance of the cheque, this person stopped responding to my calls even.I am writing this to you today because Mr. Sidharth told me that he will not do anything to waive off the interest and threatened that if I write to the company he will further find ways to harass me. This is highly unprofessional and a complete cheat at the Company’s end.

                                    I am getting reminders from HDFC Faridabad that my EMI amount will be increased forcefully and the no. of payable months have already been increased. Mr. Siddharth Agarwal is diverting from his commitment. This is a clear cheating and the COMPANY is responsible for this since its employees are misguiding.

                                    I request the Company to look into this matter since I am not in a financial position to bear such heavy charges and increased EMI. I request the Company to:
                                    Waive off the interest put on me.
                                    EMI will be same Rs. 6245/- as I am already paying
                                    Let me know a minimum and nominal amount to be paid to reduce the no. Of payable months.
                                    Let me know the minimum part prepayment Principal amount.

                                    Also I am not getting proper response from Faridabad office. Please let me know the senior person to be contacted for settlement.

                                    Your prompt and positive reply would be highly appreciated.

                                    Dear Sir/Madam,

                                    I booked the Flat No 103 J Wing Gokul dham Zone 2, Vrindavan Nagari, MIDC, Navapur Road, Lupin circle, Pamtembhi Village, Boiser(w).I discussed with your Vasai branch related to Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).He replied me this area is not covered under this benefit.But Yesterday I went to ICICI bank for home loan they have agreed for giving PMAY subsidy for Boiser (w) location. Still I want loan from HDFC Bank.
                                    If you are agree for giving PMAY subsidy as commitment by your executive at the time of form filing. Otherwise I request you please refund my processing fee Rs 8630/.
