I Had enrolled ICFAI Mumbai in 2004 for MBA operations by paying 52000 INR as Fees, I could clear only one Group(A) in 2004, after that since today I have desperately tried to Clear Other group but in Futile s every time result ws fail, Due to this I had builtup so much stress that I had to hospitalised for Hypertension case, Finally I gave up & in Sep' 09 I asked ICFAI to Reimburse my complete fees, I showed my intention to discontinue programme .But to my surprise I got a reply that there is no provision for fee reimbursement, I dont understand when one does not get A MBA degree how is it possible ICFAI can claim complete fees & say there is no provision for reimbursement
I'am a middle class person who learns while earning

Is there any law by which we I can get back my hard earned money - forget hospitalisation & mental trauma.

There is absolutely No law & No accountability towards governed rules & protection rights of students
I am also planning to join MBA from ICFAI, my interaction with them so far is good.

It seems they are truely recognized as University by UGC, see this link:

I am recently came across that university is having its arbitration Tribunal, instead of going to police station or court, as you know our Police station and court which is known for prolonging the case. So, for the quick response you can contact IUT tribunal by sending email (quote your Name and Enrollment Number) at [protected]@iutripura.edu.in. all the best..
i m facing the same problem. altimatly i my personel exp with this university is very bed
I am very much tensed to know the suffering of the student and mean while unhappy with the students who suffered by the so called Universities because this era is of Right To Information, you can ask anything from them . Make a group of sufferers and file a case against them and report to the Governor of the state, teach them a lesson which they remember forever.
Dear Shrikant!
You have joined a distance-learning course and cribbing about classes. You could have joined regular program instead.
my son has completed his MBA from icfai in 2007 but till date he has not received his degree certificate from icfai, when aproched they say that it will come to your residence address. i don't know what should we do. who will help me.
ICFAI University Sucks! To The citizens of India - Please do not get yourself into a trap with ICFAI by enrolling any short-term, long-term course anywhere in India. ICFAI is cheating people. I paid nearly 16k for a 1 year PG diploma course. The next year they demanded I will have to pay 1k each year to continue the course. Even, I will have to pay Rs. 100 for a sample question paper for one subject! How shrewd they are! ICFAI is a completely fraud organization! Please be aware!
Our legal system and Governments also suck to take any action against ICFAI.

Have you ever heard of any educational institute recruiting sales professionals for getting students? I've never heard of that except for ICFAI! These sales guys of ICFAI have their quarterly sales quota.. so they will do anything and everything to achieve their targets. Such a nasty organization - ICFAI
Damleji! You have joined the professional program with a purpose. Having paid the fee, I believe you must strengthen all your efforts and aim for success in the program. Better concentrate on program books than the blog issues.
i totaly agree with you
Hi,
even i am facing the same problame.i have paid 10000/- in advance & given 18 cheques.but now i want to discontinue, so i am not paying for that. now a daya i m receiving notice 4m icfai.i dont knw wht to do. can anyone help me on this?
Punam
Dear Dev/Raj!
I totally disagree with your observation. Student Services are accessible through toll free numbers and emails. The responses are exact to the point. As regards financial commitments, they are to be paid irrespective of whether you deal with education service or any other service.
Dear Prof. Iyengar!

Sir, While I, as a pass-out of Icfai appreciate your concern for so-called sufferers (or only surfers?) in the blog, you must note that no one doubted the quality or usage value of the courses. The bloggers are mostly the friends who could not clear, for lack of planned preparation. At least some word of advise on preparation is expected from person of your repute.
Mathur! You claim to have joined in 2004 and now claiming for refund of fee? Did you ever get refund of your child’s tuition fee? You want to try the service and discard, after 5 years, as the dish is not palatable. I doubt whether you write for the sake of writing.
chod do icfai ko ...
Hi Kunal!
Simple. Pay the money as per your commitment. For that matter, any financial commitment we enter has to be honored on time to avoid legal hassles.
I have enrolled in MBA program ( Distance learning program) in Bhopal on January 2007 and July 2007 to
April 2009 i have given 5 times exams but not passed. all time
they published exam marks which i think not correct, may be
intensionally made student failed so that they can earn exam
fees every time. They have taken the course fees of Rs. 10, 000/- in advance and remaining amount paying by PDC of Rs.3543 in 18 EMI and I clear all PDC in MAY 2008. whereas other university/institution takes it semestar wise of 6 months and after completion of 1st semestar, they take the fees of 2nd semiestar. but ICFAI taken all semiestar fees. They only spend for me that 8 books and one month class.
Can anyone help me so that i can get my money back. If ICFAI want to deduct money from Rs. 73, 774/- then also O.K. But I want some refund because I don't want to continue,
Although I made mail to Dean of student service department regarding this matter but they not replied 2-3 times and finally
they replied not possible to refund.

Please someone help me ...

Same thing happened, they always make student fail giving just short of 2/3 number from pass and also not supply books inspite of giving fees saying it will be given in progressively

ICFAI shoul take action aginst complain
Mr. Bhatia!
As you claim to have completed the program, write to them for issuance of certificate. I suspect some communication gap or mishandling by the courier. No need to panic.
Hi Punam,
Any financial commitment entered into needs to be settled either by payment or through mutual conciliation Should you intend not to continue, make a request to them and try seeking discontinuance from the program.
