[Resolved]  imate — No proper service during warranty period

problem with voice and required data transfer cable with cd for internet on desktop

Sir,

I have bought a new I mate samart flip phone from Kuwait. Someone told me that there is no service / coverage / for this mobile in your place. (Trivandrum / Kerala / India).

Is there is any problem regarding its coverage, if i send this mobile to india. Please advice.

Dear Sir/Madam

I had ordered one IMATE JAMA SMART Mobile phone on[protected] from Compact International through order number[protected]. The mobile phone was subsequenlty delivered to me by post.

During use the instrument developed problems as mentioned below :

1) The phone was switched off one evening by me and subsequently on trying to switch on the instrument it did not get switched on the subsequent morning.
2) Data transfer using blue tooth was extremely slow.
3) Further the picture displayed on the screen of the mobile was not clear.

On account of the aforementioned problems I had couriered the mobile to the Mumbai Head Office of Compact International subsequent to discussions with Customer Executive of the company.

I was told that the problems could not be rectified in Delhi since the service center of the company was in Mumbai. I had lodged my complaint vide the following complaint IDs:

1) BCOM15440
2) BCOM15625.

Hence the mobile phone had to be couriered to Mumbai. Subsequent to my conversation with the call center executive I had couried my mobile phone to the Mumbai Office on[protected]. The mobile phone was received at the Mumbai Office[protected].

Thereafter there has been a constant delay in delivery of the mobile phone back to me. Once I was told that delay in the delivery has happened on account of courier problems. The second time I spoke to the call center excecutive I was told that the delay has happened since the mobile phone has been sent to the Bangalore service station and has not been received at the Mumbai Office after the necessary repairs. I again spoke to the call center executive a third time and again I was told that the phone is not getting delivered to me since there is a courier problem going on. I have also been told during one my conversations that the phone is not getting delivered due to software issues.

I have repeatedly tried to solicit an appropriate response from the call center executives but I have always received a bunch of excuses to explain the delay in returning the phone back to me.

Now I am at my wits end as to how I will get the phone back. I dont even know where my phone is. Had I known that the after sales service of the company is so poor I would never have pruchased an IMATE phone

Requesting your intervention so that my mobile phone gets delivered back to me.

where are i-mate mobile service shops in india ?

I have purchased i-mate pdal P D 6/8/2007 from the beging month I Am facing problem regarding very less sound from earphone or noisy sound sended four times to service centers in kolkatta .but the problem as it is, I want to know I am living at jamshedpur jharkhand and for reparing of my i-mate mobile i have to go to kolkatta and they takes 2-4 days for reparing I just want to ask you the travelling staying and fooding cost who will give i-mate not na sure then why they are selling that type of very phaltoo set to customers,

I have purchased I-mate model no SP5M in Bangalore Mobile Gallery by paying Rs.11, 000/- with 4 months the hand set started hanging. when i tried to switch off it was not switching off only when i removed battery then only it was switching off. finally this hanging problem continues while talking also. So i have given this handset to service center located in Jayanagar they told me to come after 5 days and this is the only service center in Bangalore they have and these is approx.30 KM from my house and office time is 10AM to 5.30 PM customer has to go service center within this time or else they will not reply for customer quires. I called up them and went to service center for collecting my cell phone while receiving handset was working fine. After 1 week same problem repeats in addition to that mp3 ring tone was not playing. i tried to speak to that service center manager for explain this problem but he didn’t come online for asking customer problem. Again i took hand set to customer service center and asked reception i want to meet your manager. he dint allow me to meet and he told reception take a compliant will solve the problem aging they took 6 days for repair. But finally the problem was not solved in fact problem started increase, sent many mails to there Asian main branch there was no reply from there . So finally I sold this handset for just Rs.4000/-. I suggest you people plz don’t buy I-mate product there product & service is too bad.

i had bought an imate Jama my phone is okay and functioning properly but few days back its touch pannel cracked wehat do i do i am from Allahabad Utter pradesh i had called the service center in Bangalore but no one is picking up the phone what about the delhi center the phone number is not there please help me

The service centres for Imate Jama phones are very few in India and that too are not concious enough for providing good support to customers.
I am in gurgaon and had taken an imate jama 10 months back from Bangalore. The phone is out of order for last three months. Display rotates automatically with changed colour, touch screne is not working, everytime a message for virus update remains on screne, dispay screne doesnot get into power save mode. etc etc..
I dont know, if any service support is there in Gurgaon.. On net I found a service centre at Rajouri Garden. I mailed which bounced back, I called the number which remained busy every time..
The phone purchased worth Rs17000/- is kept useless and I am using the old nokia phone purchased in 2003 and 2005...

i have bought Imate jama mobile recently, its frequently giving the problem like Hanging and some times it will not booting, important thing is they decreased the warranty period of Imate mobile from one year to six month so now I'm really feeling bad about this product...

its totally i-mate don't buy the i-mate phones plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for god sake
