i received a call from your customer care for getting a reebok shoe and diamond voucher, holiday voucher exact date unknown who told me to send all those things but neither all items nor any letter is being given to me but an amount rs.2249/- is being paid from my credit card on dated 30/10/2008. can you help me what is the reason. a copy i am attaching here.

I had paid Rs 2599 to get a set of 20 CDs on 22rd October and it was promised that I wil get delievery in 10-12 days. However even after 35 days I have not got my Consignment. I am continuously in touch with ITBC staff and Call centre but not getting any confirmation on my Order no MITBC-WEB[protected]. This means that ITBC is makiing us FOOLS. This is totally disgusting. There is no point for Mr Puri and India Today Group (including Aaj Tak etc) to boast their group. This is totally a cheater's Group working only to FOOL people. I am sure I will get the correct comensation for this delay alongwith my Parcel.

i am facing the same problem, these people are cheating us, they are cheating the people from all over india. i am just sending you what ever my conversation has happend till date with this guys online.

apart from this i have spoken to this guys for more than 4 times on phone at regular interval of 10 days but still they are saying when i called them today right now before i m writing this means at 2.30pm 28-11-08 to the guy called karmjeet on[protected]. he said again we will dispatch it in next 10 working days asap.

now tell me what is the meaning to get associated with such a big group when they dont have their contact us page on their website and not at all any active supervisory management who can look after customer queries and after sales services.

SHAME on u guys!!!

till date i was under impression that being an india today group, service and comfort of your client would be your priority in any scenario of your business.

India Today Book Club for 20 devotioanal CDs — No confirmation or proof recieved after the order for 20 devotioanal CDs but claimed the amount on my credit card

I like to inform you that the amount of Rs 2249/- has been deduted from my credit cards on 26/11/2008 and also I have got the transaction reference number. But still I didn't get the offer details and offer number and the reaching time of the materials.

Even I havn't get any call from yourside about after the amount paid from my credit card against the order whose number still not yet get, which is a very strange to me. It is unbelievable, how your organisation can do such type of mistake.

I faced the same problem. I received the books which i didn't order. it was different from what I ordered. And when I tried for the free gifts at least for compliment, it didn't work . Teh unique code what they provide in the voucher was not a valid one. When i called them on phone they replied that they will activate it. but till date not. Is there anyway to check this?

I got the offer along with the IRCTC offer so called sweepstakers of Rs.60 lakh. As part of this offer I have paid Rs.2579 by Card online to India Today Book Club. This offer includes like CD's, Reebok shoe and holiday club.

This I have paid it during September 2008. You wont believe, till today, I have not received anything. What they have done is, they have sent the above mentioned items by VPP twice, which I have rejected.

My calls to the delhi number was waste of money. No one bothered to respond. If you ask them to escalate the matter to their supervisor, they reply that they are not authorised to do so.

Such a big company, they have made lot of confussion in this offer. I have now requested to cancel the order, but they have asked me to show them the credit card statement to confirm, whether I have paid or not.

I have sent the statement also. But till today no reply from the ITBC about the cancellation of the order. I am still getting SMS mentioning and asking me to provide them my shoe size.

This the status and an example of an un planned way of handling any offer.

Dear Sir, Following Said incidence happened with me, MY SBI Credit card no.[protected], 4386.& immediately I have deposited the total Amount [Rs97000+38000]access Rs3000 . but SBI card management did big cheating & every month they are panelise me & sending Statement of out standing balance of Rs 33221/- without any transaction. pl. take appropiate action against the SBI card management.

[Follwing cheating done by SBI card management& Asking Rs33000 as a penalty], No body is reply of mail, they are doing only cheating the peole, so please go thru the case.& help.It is very mean job SBI card managemet is doning.
I undersigned was sent A DD Rs 1Lac 26 thousand as a loan, without my consent, on my office address, on 19/11/2007, & On 20/11/2008, I deposited the said DD at HDFC bank Vashi. Before your DD ‘s amount get credited in my account I dropped the said amount, cheque no 488514 of SBI Nagothane branch in the cheque collection box at Naothane, on 27/11/2007
1.It was miss placed, & I had to applied for the stopped payment for the said cheque….. no 488514 of SBI Nagothane at nagothane.
Then Again I issued one more cheuque no 488518 of Rs 1, 26, 000 of sbi branch Nagothane, but it was decline from your office, with remark that, it is local branch, s checque, [Mr Mohan collected the said cheque]., Whereas, for any transaction I was using the same, cheque book, & in the past dealing, there was no problem at all, It was very easy going,
Then I paid the total your loan amount Rs.97000+ Rs38000 thru HDFC bank with Rs3000 more [as a interest component], that also because of your mistake.
At the moment I had stop using your card, look into the matter, I think nothing is pending against me. I had face a lot of problem because of the said incidence, I[censored] don’t want to lose your sincere customer pl. close the matter earlist, so I can continue your card.

India Today Book Club — Money debited but parcel not reached

Dear sir,

They inform me on 23/11/08 for the free gift of Rs. 14, 000.00 that include holiday pakage and shoes etc. they will send shortly and they have charged the amount of Rs. 2249.00 from my Cradit Card on 24/11/08 too. But so far I have not receveid anything. I have doubt that they are doing the thing honestly. Rather they are cheating people as we see many complaints here.
Beacause their site http://offers.indiatodaybookclub.com/greatoffers.htm is not also working. also their Helpline no.[protected] is not working.
Lastly, can anyone help me to get my money backed?

I have sent a D.D. of Rs. 748 against the offer of Reebok Shoes on 25.11.08 but till todate I have neither received the shoes nor any mail from India Today Book Club about the status of my order. Even I have yet to receive a diamond pendant from Surat Diamond Jewellers for which I have sent a D. D. of Rs. 6200. This offer was also through India Today Book Club. Phone calls do not fetch anything.

ITBC — Ordered Cds not received till now and no holiday package has been provided

Dear Sir,
Its been two months since i have placed an order of Rs.2599 in which i have t0 recieve few cs and a reebok shoes along with a holiday package to any of the destination mentioned in the lists, but since last week after repeated follow up with the call centre i have recieved the reebok shoes delivered at my mailing address with an intimation that i have to collect the cd's from post office by paying a charge of 754extra, which was not mentioned on the offer document earlier .and with that i have not recieved any form for sending the choice of destination for the holiday package, I beliving the brand name of India today has thought of good service and good offer chose to go for this offer but facing all this problems i now feel that i am trapped and decieved and making my my mind to go legal for the harasshament i have faced during all these days after paying the amount instantly.

I would appreciate an immidiate look on tho this matter and provide me the necessary things which i should have got on purchase of the offer of 2599.
