India Today Book Club — Not able to avail free gift
I have purchased a 20 cd pack which was covering free gifts of Rs. 5, 000 for a holiday package and Rs 7, 000 for a return air ticket but when ever I am trying to log in or putting my unique number it showing to enter correct numbers.I request the India Today Club to follow up for this mail as soon as possible.

i am also one of the victim of their lucrative offer & in the end finding myself cheated by such a big & reputed group which I have never dream of. There was a offer for ADDIDAS shoes For Rs.748.00 for which I have applied for 6 number shoe in the month of October 2008 & the cheque was cleared in the month of November 2008. In the month of January 2009 a letter came regarding non availability of ADDIDAS shoes, however the offer was for REEBOK shoes at same price, regarding which the acceptence has already been sent in the month of January 2009 only; but till date I have not received the shoes. Initially they replied my complaint with the assurance that I will receive my gift very soon, but till date they have neither send my gift & now not even not giving any reply. After reading comments of other people now I am sure that I won't receive my gift.

This is to bring into your kind attention about a fraud on my Order Number: 0GA[protected]
and Membership No: ITBC09918430 which has not been delivered completely.
I recieved a mail about a promo offer for a 20 devotional CDs pack and a holiday package worth Rs. 5000/- for just Rs. 999/-. I booked the order with order date as 3-Mar-2009. My order was delievered on 9-Mar-2009 only with 20 CDs pack. There was no information about my holiday package. There was a website URl provided as http://offers.indiatodaybookclub.com/gifts.htm and was asked to put my Unique number alongwith my email address.
I have been trying to enter my unique number as well as my email address but everytime I am recieving the same error message ' You have made incorrect entries. Kindly check and enter once again !!!'.
I tried to call india today book club on[protected] a number of times but could connect only twice after waiting on call for 10-12 minutes everytime. The customer service is at its worst and customer service representatives were so unprofessional and rude in tone and did not provide correct information. Last time I called india today book club on 10-Mar-2009 and the operator told me that my unique number is inactive and he has raised the request. The same unique number will be activated in 24 hrs. It has been now well over 48 hrs and now I am feeling I have been cheated.
I am feeling cheated and feel like india today book club is a fraud and all the offers/promos are fraudulent. I am planning to lodge a complaint in Regional Cyber Crime office in Bangalore as well as my local police station. I will lodge a complaint in Consumer Forum also against India Today Book club and will send them a notice of fraud from court.

hi today i received everything except wrist watch
I have paid Rs 2150 by credit Card for a offer (dated 13th Feb 2009, Order Number :MITBC-WEB[protected]. The offer was for a swatch wrist watch and a United Colors of Benetton watch both for Rs 1950 + Rs 200 as delivery Charge. On 16th of january they confirmed me with a mail giving a reference number:INTERNET/0GA[protected]. After that I called at[protected] about 5-6 times and they told me that the order has been dispatched but till date (at least about one month after confirmation) I haven't got the ordered products. My question is ... will I get the products ever in my life or is it just to cheat and steal money from a common person like me...?

India Today Book Club — Haven't received ordered goods after five months of payment
I was enticed by ITBC to order some CDs of classical singers by paying thr'o credit card on 29.09.08.(order no.OGA[protected] Although five months have passed I am yet to receive the goods. Those people at ITBC are only commiting empty promises.How India Today group have allowed to flourish such a fraud firm under their umbrella? They are cheats. I have already sent many E- mails to their CEO Mr. Vivek Gaur, Mr. Prabhu Chawla. But till date they have not bothered to mail me back. Such organisations should be banned & they must compansate the frustration & agony we are facing for their irresponsible & cheating attitudes.Pitabas Nayak

India Today Book Club — Online Purchases done last month; still not received
Online purchases made on 2nd feb 2009; towards an offer given by India today Book Club is still not received. the payment made from credit card was first said to be not honoured by the credit card company, further on enquiry it was understood that the payment was already credited to India today book club. the AWB number was not given on time and thus the shipment was returned as per the blue dart Waybill no. tracker which a representative of India today book club is denying. I do not know if I would be receiving the order or not, as the helpline number is making me more helpless as nobody can get through it without trying 15 -20 times. If this online purchse company is having so many complaints some action needs to be taken against it. atleast they should not be allowed to send any promos.What could be done to retrieve my amount?

I have placed the order in Aug., 08, in Nov., 08 i received the pack of cds and after hundreds of efforts a holiday voucher was received which is valid for one year but not for 365 days as there enough limitations. But the free gift that the addidas bag is not received till today. I have contacted at 40502424 many a times but in vain.
