My father also had fake call from IRDA-Deepak Sharma, told my father bonus of 2.84 lac.As per him, bonus will be provided if he has reliance insurance in his blood relation and he have to deposit 15% on money (around 45, 000)in reliance life insurance. Also, no agent should involve in this process of reliance insurance. My father decided to to do but we search and found that its all fraud...Thanks all.finally we canceled the cheque from bank and save our money...
In the second week of July 2011, I received a call from Noida Call Centre for investing INR 15000.00 (INR Fifteen Thousand Only) in Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Ltd. When I repeatedly refused to invest the said amount I was lured by attractive offers like Life Insurance, Bonus and Health Cover by Mr Rajeev Sharma.
On 19/07/2011 I paid a cheque No 359177 for INR 15000.00 (INR Fifteen Thousand Only) on my Savings Bank A/c in State Bank of India. When I paid the cheque to the representative Mr Rajeev Pathak he gave me the forms of Aegon Religare to sign. When I insisted that I am not supposed to pay for this but for Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Ltd, he called the Noida office and I spoke to Mr Sharma, who in turn transferred the call to his so called Senior Executive Mr Aditya Singh who explained that according to IRDA norms no company can take the investments directly from the customers, hence Aegon Religare has been appointed as the Collecting Agency.
On 20/07/2011 I was again called up by Mr Rajeev Sharma asking me to double the amount of investment, this time I was offered INR 200000.00 towards Hospitalization and other medical expenses in case of any such occurrence on spot, apart from the earlier benefits offered to me.
In the last week of September I received a call from Noida Call Centre from Mr Aditya Singh asking me to invest INR 60000.00( INR Sixty Thousand Only) in Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance. He sent me the address of the Bhopal centre and also gave me the number of Mr Nilesh Karve.
I remitted the following cheques drawn on SBI, Camp Amravati
Ch No Amount
359187 20000.00
359188 20000.00
359189 20000.00
All these cheques were cleared on 04/10/2011. The policy was to be one-time payment. Against this investment I had been promised INR 384000.00(INR Three Lac Eighty-four Thousand only) as bonus, and a pension of INR 9000.00(INR Nine Thousand Only) per month after five years, for the next 16 years. The pension was payable to me immediately within 22 days from the receipt of policy document. I received the policy document on 13/10/2011. This was confirmed to me telephonically by Mr Aditya Singh and Mr Nilesh Karve.
When I did not receive the amount towards bonus till the end of November I called up Mr Nilesh Karve and asked him about it. He in turn offered another investment plan to me. He asked me pay INR 50000.00 (INR Fifty Thousand Only) which would earn me a Pension of INR 15000.00 (INR Fifteen Thousand Only) and 50 Gms (Fifty) Gold. This pension was to start from 150 days after the clearance of the cheque and I was supposed to receive the Gold In the month of February 2012. The pension was payable to me lifelong.
When I refused to pay the said amount because I had not received the bonus amount, Mr Aditya Singh and Mr Nilesh Karve again called me up separately to insist for the investment. Since I was more in contact with Mr Aditya Singh I told him that I would not pay a single penny unless my earlier dues are cleared. Two days later Mr Aditya Singh and Mr Nilesh Karve called to say that as soon as this payment is cleared the other dues will follow suit.
During these negotiations I had been warned that I should not disclose the benefits offered to anybody who called to confirm about my investment, otherwise they will have to deduct the commission of these people from my benefit as this was to be a direct investment without any Insurance Agent.
I have 3 serious patients on hand at home and a considerable amount has been lost in the process. I need the funds immediately to meet the medical of the patients at home. Please advice on the further action to be taken and help me.

Similar complaint.
Caller's name: (as stated by him, probably false) Siddharth Mahesh Vaidya
Calling from: IRDA, old Panvel office
Phone number:[protected]
Case:
According to him, my Tata AIG ULIP facilitated by HSBC was due to be credited a much larger amount than the current fund value. This is because IRDA has come down on commissions paid by Tata AIG to HSBC for the policy, and this commission and accrued bonuses must be paid back to me. However, to get back the total amount (which is supposedly double the current value of the fund), I have to start a new policy with Reliance or Birla Sunlife, and the funds would then be transferred to the new policy in 90 days. I would then be allowed to cancel the policy and get my money back in 9 working days.
Though his story was very elaborate, he kept insisting that IRDA has kept the whole thing secret. Also, when creating the new policy, I must not tell the new insurer about the old policy and the IRDA discussion.
It is extremely disconcerting that people like these can so easily gain access to information about private individuals' investments, to such great detail. I implore any authorities reading this to take this up earnestly, and clamp down on these activities rigorously.

Hi,
Received a call from a Following number saying that he is from IRDA and I will get a bonus of atleast Rs. 55000/- for the insurance policis that I had taken few years back from Birla Sun Life Insurance, Baja allianz and LIC. However, I will have to make an investment of Rs. 25, 000/- as a security deposit. I got skeptical .I turned him down saying that I don't need the bonus. But thought to alert you before someone else gets trapped in this.

I happened to be witness to one similar fraudulant call to my sister who had a caller claiming to be a responsible officer of IRDA as a well wisher to her intending to help in paying due bonus to her from the insurance policies taken by her in the past. With passage of times callers kept changing with similar calling number series with area code of NOIDA (0120). Callers continued trying to convince her to share few more details after which they will arrange some one to visit at residenctial address for completing formalities so that release of bonus can be expedited.
Needless to point out that such fake calls have been coming in from persons involved in fraud with fake identity as IRDA representative. Our innocent people should become wiser not to fall prey to suh cheaters and their organisations involved in fogery. I do hop the govt. Agencies shoul take pre-emptive action before any person from innocent public gets cheated by these hooligans.

Be aware with this person he told:-

i too got a similar call from Mr sandeep Kapoor [protected] and he told me to call Ms neelam [protected] and they are even a step ahead that my bonus is being claimed by neeraj kumar, and they know the entire details of my policy which is really a shocker
I get 2-3 such calls every month. They are all fake. They promise you bonus and agent's commission and ask you to make an investment in the form of fixed deposit or another insurance policy in Birla Sun Life or ICICI Prudential or any other insurance company.
When I received such a call I pretended to be interested in their plan and asked them the name and number of the policy. The caller said LIFETIME MONEY BACK PLAN and policy number[protected]. ICICI Prudential does not have a policy by this name, neither do I have a policy by this number. The calling numbers were [protected] and [protected]. He said he was calling from the IRDA office at New Panvel and he also gave me the address as "Swati Building, 7 and 8th floor, Rohit Business Park, Uday Compound, A.R. Marg, Sector 19, New Panvel."
If you pretend to show interest in their plan you will be able to extract much information from them which will prove that they are fake people. Other smart callers just disconnect the line if we ask too many questions.
Please don't get caught in their trap and lose your hard earned money.

I too received a call from a girl asking for my policy details like premium, duration of policy, total amount paid so far etc, when I said that I am not bound to tell all this information because these details are with insurance company, she said thanks and disconnected the call.
Few moments back one guy called and said that he is from IRDA and asked me whether my insurance agents are in touch with me about my policy and premium details, I said why my agent would have the information about my policy amount. It will be breach of information and no one should have the information except me and the parent company.
He said that IRDA has issued some interest against my policy and they want to credit it and asked me the account details, when I said why they can’t transfer it to my policy, they said entire amount will go to my insurance agent as the policy details are in his name, he asked me to deposit Rs.30, 000 at ICICI prudential branch along with address proof, identity proof etc. and within 6 month it will be reimbursed along with the bonus amount.
I checked the IRDA website and there is no such information and also came across this informative blogs. I request everybody to check the facts whenever they receive the verification call from banks, mobile operators etc.
