[Resolved]  Louis Quartz — duplicate product

I have been fooled when AVA merchandising has sold me the product for Rs.500/- as redemption charges while flying through Jet Lite.The prise written on their product catloge about the watch was 3990 Rs.

This is purely a breach of trust, i want you to please take the action against Jet lite and AVA merchandising.

I agree with Sachin and sachdeva, same happened with me yesterday through JetLite.
They sould be sued, but who will do that, some o[censored]s surely should...

Hi, Me too did the same thing went ahead and bought it with my citibank debit card. What do i do about it. This is complete fake.

I read their (AVA) offer document, got impressed and tried to place order..Thank God.. they did not pick up the phone.. then I just browsed for info on the watch and got to this site. Thank you all for the info.. I am not going to order any of AVA merchandising products ever...

From the begaining I hesitate to order anything that offer by Credit Card Companies. Whether it is Insurance or other Product / Service. Because in every case they do not take any responsibility. That is the point which surprised to think twice. I have Credit Card of 3 Reputed Banks like Standared & Chartered, Citibank, ICICI BANK. In every case all the Bank do send the offer as a special offer to their Card Holder but the do not take any responsibility for the Quality or quantity of the Product offered. My question is why consumer guidence can not stop this kind of offer for safe-guarding customers. Almost every month I receive this kind of offer. I was really surprised that how AVA can offer LOUIS QUARTZ watch @ Rs. 490 which even they changing as handling charges. That means courier charges also included. So, I was searching on the internet and found this site. ONE SUGGESSION TO ALL THE CERDIT CARD HOLDER ...PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE AGAINST WHICH BANK DO NOT TAKE ANY WRITTEN RESPONSIBILITY.

Today I also got this watch from AVA by paying Rs. 500 as redemption Charges(which was offered in Jetlite) on Louis Watch whose MRP. was Rs.3990.
However There was No Serial No., Model No. Anything mentioned on Warranty Card Although the card was There.
Now Seeing All These Reviews I am Assured that everyone here is fooled by Jetlite & AVA Merchandising Company

Thanks to you all for sharing you experiences. In any case I was suspicious of this incredible offer by Citibank/AVA Merchandising [a product they claim is worth Rs.3990/- is being given by them free of cost at all cardholders without any conditions (except handling charges of Rs.490/- which was slightly higher than the usual charges quoted in such offers)!!! There must be something fishy...]. After reading your experiences, I will better not waste my time and money on this offer by Citibank /AVA Merchandising. Thank you all...

Oh My God!!! help us...we trust them blindly and they cheat us .
Actually I have trusted on JetLite, because its an repotated company with a brand image, but if the comments written upsides are true then there must be some action taken on it.We all are actually not fool but these type of things which tend us to believe on a brand like jetlite, should not do fraud.

there is actually nothing whatsoever that you can do. Both my friend and I also "won" this watch on a Jetlite flight from Bangalore to Delhi. Although we were very certain at that time that this watch will never be worth 3'990 Rs. we were curious about what we will get for the price of 500 Rs. (yeah, it's a actually the price for the watch you pay, it's nothing about service charges, that's completely rubbish).

I was suprised to see that the watch was in fact not that cheap as expected and it even worked :D. In case you are curious how this "business model" works I'll quickly explain. There are companies (mostly chinese) that offer you a full package where you can order thousends of watches that are completely customized up to the logo and the "brand".

The truth is, Louis Quartz is (from what I know) not a real brand. There is no company behind it but it's just a name they (AVA Merchandising or whomever is responsible for this crap) gave their customized watches. But this is economy. Anybody that produces a watch (or any other good) is free to chose any price for their products. If they claim the watch is worth 3'990 Rs. there is nothing illegal about it, although it's rather immoral of course and definitely "bad style", especially if it has been initiated by an "official" company such as JetLite.

The best thing you can do is to "punish" these companies by spreading the word about their improper businesses and stay away from them in the future.

I too feel fooled by Jetlite. I just went through their warranty card to check the authenticity of this product, but to my surprise I couldn't find any name, address or contact number of the manufacturer. Moreover, there are so many spelling mistakes in the warranty card. All this confirmed my doubt that Jetlite has made us to purchase a fake product. I can't believe a listed company like Jet would fool its valued customer in the name of gifts and free bees. I feel so cheated, wish someone is listening and put an end to such business ethics. Down with Jet.

Today I received SCRATCH & WIN Voucher from the SBI Card. I won Lous Quartz Watch worth of 3990/- when I scratched. There is a condition, winner would be charged is Rs.590/- as handling charges. I suspected and searched in the web found this complaint. This is also from AVA Dream Merchants. Now I decided to not to accept.

SImalar kind of cheating happend to me while travelling in AirDeccan. But Watch is CITORLE. I disappointed.

I am wondering how the AVA can make any profit form the deals, if all they charging is INR 590.00 for a watch with tag price INR 3990.00 as received from SBI bank Credit cards offers.
They Must be selling flawed products or false ones!

i think credit cards should be suied for such type of offers which are brought forward to us.

these card companies dont think abt the products, they get some loyality form these AVA type of companies and they will do any thing to decive their own customers with such offers... or to generate revenu from those companies for flight / tax / handeling charges through the card to get them some revenue... this is really deciving the customers...

i make my point clear, that this is not "AVA" to be suied but the cards which had sent this advertisment to us should be suied...

Receiving my phone order from AVA after 4 days I have received Louis quartz, I have surprised but there is now Quartz product code and Gaurantee card or anything about Watch. How I will get please...but It seems a ladies watch but not for me.

Hi, thanks for the new age communications. I have got the similar offer for Louis quartz through SBI credit card from AVA. I wanted to reassure myself before placing an order. Luckily, I came across with this communication.

One thing these people should realize is that they can not fool the consumers in this modern era. Now I will take it up with SBI customer care.
