[Resolved]  Louis Quartz — duplicate product

I got this Loius Quartz watch award in the scratch card in Jet Lite flight. On arriving at Mumbai Airport, it was not available & we were asked to contact the helpline & pay Rs. 500.

I was about to pay Rs 500 towards taxes. Thankfully I think, I saved my Rs 500.

Is it really a fraud? Why is a reputed company like Jet Lite doing such cheap tricks ?

NOW THEY have advertised with STATE BANK OF INDIA CREDIT CARD Now am alert abt it. So the SBI bank card holders should be alert abt it, other wise they have to inform to the SBI bank and we have to see what the action they are going take in it.

I received a similar offer from SBI Credit Card. I was asked to pay Rs. 590/- towards handling charges.

We should get someone in Police/newspoapers to look into this.

i also received an scratch card from sbi but i suspected on this offer when they charge rs.590 as handling charges. what is the purpose of offer if you are charging. I think all scratch cards contains this and sbi has some fixed commission for promoting this. as we all know b sbi card is big cheater his statement always contains some type of extra charges. He has now discovered new way of making money.

Thanks ! all for posting very valuable comments, you people have saved me from being fooled by this so called AVA merchandising.
I also got similar offer from SBI credit card of two Louis Quartz at Rs 490 only and i was about to place a request for same.
I don't trust other banks but was more surprised when it happened with SBI Cards.

I received Louis Quartz watch from Jetlite as the prize. The label on the container says the rate of Rs.3990/-
The watch was presented by Citicard for Rs.500/-
The Jetlite should be sued for presenting a fake products and are partner with the cheats.
They are selling in chennai airport itself.
The matter should be taken up by the Weights and Measures Department for wrong labelling as there is no name of the manufacturers nor there is any customer care contact nos. nor Jetlite has given any of thier marking being a prize from them.
All are guilty.

I have been fooled when AVA merchandising has sold me the product for Rs.500/- as redemption charges while flying through Jet Lite.The prise written on their product catloge about the watch was 3990 Rs.

This is purely a breach of trust, please suggest how can i take any action against Jet lite and AVA merchandising.

Thanks for information.. I also got offer from SBI Card as Scratch & Win Offer. Now Even SBI card also joined in the cheating Brand.. AVA should be suied for selling pirated Items in the name of offer..

Many thanks for posting these comments. I was about to order one after getting the 'scratch card' offer on my SBI Credit Card. As per the scratch card, the Louis Quartz watch costing Rs.3, 990 is being given freely on payment of handling charges of Rs.590.

In this regard, I urge the Banks to maintain distance from such unscrupulous agencies like AVA Merchandising which are trying to fool the people by selling the fake products on the name of branded companies. Even the companies whose brand is being used must take stringent action against all those who are selling the products using their names in the open market.

I bought 2 products from AVA Merchandising Pvt. Ltd. on 11th September paid through Standard Charted Bank Credit Card. Hello, Today I almost committed to your free watch offer ( Louis quarts / product code:890 ) According to company rules the product would be delivered within 21 working days. After 21 working day I haven’t received any product from there. I called lot of time to their customer care they told that it would deliver within a week. I got only 1 product on 17 October 2008 while I ordered 2 products I have paid for 2.
Now I called them they told it will be dispatches together.
Please I want to complain against the company what to do I plan to go to consumer foram against the AVA.

I received a scratch card today from SBI bank, it has pictures of many prizes shown all over it, among it is the Louis Quartz watch code no. 1053. We received two such scratch coupons. The first coupon i scratched I saw the code for the watch, I felt happy and lucky, in the second coupon too I won the same watch, now I got suspicious, and a quick search on google has saved me Rs.590 that they are demanding as " handling charges " . The offer is brought by AVA merchants. Another fishy thing about this offer is that for all other prizes that we may win ( except for this watch ) we have to send the coupon to these people. It would be very convenient for these people to loose such coupons and blame it on the postal service etc.
I am happy I took some time to search for this product. I hope all those who have been fooled complaint about this in the Consumer Court.

Today I recievd my SBI Card statement and I got a offer from AVA. I read their (AVA) offer document, got impressed and tried to place order for for LOUIS QUARTZ. Then I just browsed for info on the watch and got to this site. Thank you all for the info.. I am not going to order any of AVA merchandising products ever...I was about to place order through State Bank Credit Card.
If credit card company do not take any responsibility. How they allow to user their logo for this type of offers.

they have started sending SCRATCH WIN coupons on scratching that a product code will be revealed and have call a toll free number to verfiy the address and the product will be sent to you in couple of weeks.

is this true...!!?

I got the same kind of offer from SBI card at handling charges of Rs:590, i thought of going for the offer and just searched on net about the product, thanks all of you to save me from proceeding and get a fake watch.

Thank you friends for positing the offer complaints. Today i received the same offer from my SBI Card, i am planned to go with the offer, as a netizen I am saved, think about the friends those don't have experience in internet.

I too got the same offer from SBI Card two days back. Before placing the order I thought to check the customer feed back. The above messages are very helpful. It is very unfortunate that Banks like SBI, Citi, ICICI associates with such kind of fraud and un-ethical Marchandise (AVA)

Thanks to all. I also got one voucher from SBI Credit Card, where they offered me Louis Quartz Watch. They are not giving me free from any charges. I have to pay Rs.590/- if I ready to accept their offer. Before that I verified at internet and saw lot of complain about that. I think so that it is like a simple cheating. So, we could take necessary action against those kind of immoral activities.

A genuine complaint...Thanks for registering complaint against such fraud companies. I too received a scratch and win offer from SBI card and found myself lucky to win the Louis Quartz Product Code:1053 worth Rs 3, 990/- The handling and taxes charges are Rs.590/- I was going to redeem the offer but just thought of having some more info for this so called free product. And I am astonished to find complaints against the product.

I have won a louis quartz while travelling from delhi to kolkata in jetlite.they charged from me Rs.500 as handling charges for this watch. But when i see the watch after receiving i found no manufactures name, address and dealers address for guarantee.
I think this is duplicate watch. I am thinking how can Jetlite do such kind of stupind and manuplated activities for there clintes.
In future i never travel by Jet airways and Jet lite.
Fraud Flite, Fraud Airways, Fraud schemes.Fraud staff.
