My daughter, Ms. Aliya Praveen’s passport no# G 7590545 was issued from the Lucknow passport office. In the passport her gender is mentioned as “MALE” which needs to be changed to “FEMALE”



I had applied for a gender change at the India Embassy – Muscat . However, they want a confirmation coming from the Lucknow passport office, confirming the gender of my daughter. The Indian Embassy has been sending several reminders in this regard to the Lucknow passport office, for several months now. But there has been no communication / feedback received from your office as yet.



I have been following up on the same for several months now, but I am not getting a proper response from the authorities in the passport office.



Request you to please look into the matter and treat it with utmost priority, as I need to receive the passport at the earliest. I will be shifting along with my family to Saudi Arabia in the month February. I need the corrected passport, now with the Indian Embassy before I shift to Saudi Arabia .



For your kind information, please find attached scanned copy of passport, receipt Indian embassy- Muscat & birth certificate.

I have submitted the passport application on 05 Jan. 2007 to the district passport division, BHADOHI(SRN) at the District Magistrate office.Also, I was informed that my application was sent to your Lucknow passport after verifying the police report & completing all other formalities from District Magistrate, BHADOHI(SRN)official Dispatch No-72/410 dated:-11 April. 2007 .
But the net passport enquiry status still displayed - "Police report has not been received" which was agian updated on[protected] with dispatch no.140/410 for Station LUCKNOW .
