[Resolved]  Royal Cruiser — Unethical business practice

Address: West Bengal

Recently we bought tickets from Durgapur to Karunamoyee (Calcutta) on Royal Cruiser. The fares were expensive at around Rs. 280 per person one-way. We boarded the bus from City Center at Durgapur and when we were boarding, the staff separated the passengers based on the destination.

Unfortunately, the bus reached Esplanade in Calcutta and the driver got out of the bus. When some passengers including us complained that we had bought tickets to Karunamoyee and expected the bus to take us there, the driver rudely told us that the bus is not moving anywhere. He has instructions to drive to Esplanade and not to Karunamoyee. It is now upto the passengers on how to reach Karnunamoyee.

This is a typical case of most unethical business conduct where the owners take customers for granted and can get away with anything. There is utter disregard to prior contractual commitments. On further inquiry, we were told by the local taxi operators that is a standard practice of Royal Cruiser, where they sell tickets to Karunamoyee at a higher price and leave the passengers at Esplanade. Since there is no formal method of complaining to the management, who are a bunch of hooligans operating with political clout to defend their crime, I want to make sure that future passengers are aware of this issue. All I hope is that the company deliver what it promises.

Its true, this has happened with me also while travelling from karunamoye to Durgapur (Bhringee More). The persons should be punished.
Dear Sir,

I am a regular passenger of AC volvo metro transport in the V9 route ( Tollygaunj to Unitech) . I aboard the bus at SAFUI PARA stoppage . Usually I take the bus that passes through the staoppage at about 9.35/40pm . But on sept 2, the bus was delaying too much, so I took another bus togo to next stoppage Kalikapur. There the bus was standing at the stoppage for more than 5 mins in traffic jam . Inspite of my several request the driver of the V9 bus ( having number WB 23Y 8800) refused to open the door . Altough there was ample space inside the bus, still the driver refused to open the back door . He behaved very badly and did'nt open the door intentionally . This attitude of the bus driver is intolerable . The purpose of transport is to give passengers good service, but if the passengers have expect service depending upon mood of bus driver, it would be difficuilt for us to avail the service . Please ensure the respective person is punished .

Thanks
Mr Sudipta Saha
