[Resolved]  SBI ATM Cum Debit Card — Amount debited from account but payment not done.

On 10 May 2008, i used my SBI ATM cum Debit card at SHreeShivam Garment shop Durg Chhattisgarh for the bill of Rs 1265/.. After swiping the card in the card machine and entering my PIN number nothing happened and i had to pay cash of Rs 1265/.to the shop.
On 13 May 2008 on checking account statement I found Rs 1265/. debited from my saving account. I contacted the shop, but as per them they have not received the amount. When I contacted my SBI sector 10 Bhilai branch, they asked me to check garment shop accounts. Then I contacted SBI customer care Bhopal who gave me email id to write down the complaint([protected]@sbi.co.in) on 16/5/2008 and again reminder on 19/5/2008. But till date there is no answer. As the money transfer was electronic, SBI should provide the trace the transaction and credit my account .

dear sir,

i am the ATM holder of S.B.I. my card number is[protected], it was issued by Chandni Chowk, Delhi Branch. On[protected] I went to the KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK in SECTOR 18 DDA MARKET, ROHINI, DELHI and inserted my ATM CARD and after entering my password, I entered the amount of rs. 15, 000/- but the said bank flashed the message as EXCEEDS THE MAXIMUM LIMIT, ENTER LESSER AMOUNT. I then entered the lesser amount of rs. 10, 000/- and I waited the amount to come out from the atm machine there. But the amount did not come out of the machine but one message flashed as SORRY, YOUR TRANSACTION IS TIMED OUT, and no receipt came out of the atm machine as well.I, then went to bank of baroda atm at sector 15 rohini, delhi and withdrew rs.10, 000/- only but no receipt came out. And then I went to sbi moti nagar, and withdrew rs 5000/-, from the atm machine there and when receipt came out of the atm machine, I got very surprised to see that rs. 10, 000/- has been debited by KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK from sector 18, dda market, rohini, delhi without disbursing cash to me. I then lodged compliant on customer care centre and they told me to wait for 24 hours time. I then waited for 24 hourse but my money was not credited. I then lodged a complaint NO. AT[protected] on[protected] with sbi customer care number. But till date I have not received my amount of rs. 10000/- back from KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK, SO FAR. Please do the needful in the matter at the earliest.

State bank of India, Park street Kolkata — Transaction done but no cash was dispensed

I Maisnam Niresh, employee of PWC, Kolkata have used the ATM on the Park Street of SBI opposite to Kwality restaurent, I wanted to withdraw 10,000 but no cash was dispensed and said money have been transacted from my account.It happened on 6.15 pm on 9th June 2012.

I would like to know that, now is Maestro card available or it is stopped.
As i gave a request for a maestro card (debit card) in the bank where i am having my savings account. they told that now there is now Maestro card given and it is stopped.
and
i would like to know which card will replace Maestro card as it is safe in all aspects. the main reason for Applying for the maestro card is for safety in all aspects as it will ask for pin but in master and visa it do not ask for pin when we use (swip) the card for shopping so if in case the card in lost then it can be miss used by others because of this reason i requested maestro card. Please do the needful as soon as possible.

I the Krishnamurti mishra applied for new ATM Cum debit card on 12.10.2012 but i have not received the same till date .whenever i approched to cutomer care of atm cum debit card department, executive replied that we have not yet recieved any request from your branch. but in fact is this my home Branch office from Malad (E), Khurad Branch officer updated my request twice in system i.e. on 12.10.2012 & 31.10.2012. this is for your information that i am account holder of said sbi branch.Know this is my humble request to solve such problem and provide atm cum debit card at earliest.
I have paid Rs 1000/- through SBI ATM CUM DEBIT CARD for NEET-UG-2013.Transaction is done from my account.Account No. [protected], Account holder Shyam Lal Prajapati but amount is not received by NEET.HOW can I get this amount back.
I account holder -SHYAM LAL PRAJAPATI, Account no.-[protected] filled up the NEET-UG-2013 form on 18/12/2012. Transaction was done from my account but the amount was not received by CBSE Transaction ID[protected].So, I paid amount through E-CHALLAN. So, please refund my amount on my account.
Yesterday I used my ATM cum DEBIT SBI CARD to withdraw cash from PNB ATM ID NO D7317900 SINGHAL STAT, STORE, MAIN B LINK ROAD FARIDABAD, DATED 20/03/2013 TIME 11:42, TXN NO. 9553 It gave me status as TRANSACTION DECLINED.
Is there anyone who can be of any help as I got no money from the ATM but the amount of Rs 5000/- is showing in my statement as withdrawn. Since this failed transaction is not reversed kindly guide as to whom to approach as PNB customer care has refused to take the complaint.

Reconciliation of transactions at ATMs failure – Time limit

Please refer to our letter DPSS No. 1424 and 711/ 02.10.02 /[protected] dated February 11, 2009 and October 23, 2008 respectively on the captioned subject. In terms of instructions contained therein, banks are required to reimburse to the customers, the amount wrongfully debited on account of failed ATM transactions within a maximum period of 12 days, from the date of receipt of customer complaint. Reserve Bank of India has been receiving number of complaints, regarding the non adherence of banks to the instructions stipulated therein. Further, it has come to our notice that different banks have put in place different cut-off limits for permitting cash withdrawals from/for other bank customers. These issues have been comprehensively reviewed by the Reserve Bank of India. The banks may follow the following directives:

i) It is mandatory for the banks to reimburse the customers, the amount wrongfully debited on account of failed ATM transactions, within a maximum period of 12 working days from the date of receipt of the customer complaint.

ii) For any failure to re-credit the customers account within 12 working days from the date of receipt of the complaint, the bank shall pay compensation of Rs.100/-, per day, to the aggrieved customer. This compensation shall be credited to the customer’s account automatically without any claim from the customer, on the same day when the bank affords the credit for the failed ATM transaction.

iii) The issuer bank is entitled to claim such compensation paid to the customer from the acquirer bank, if the delay is attributed to the latter. By the same logic the ATM network operators shall compensate the banks for any delay on their part.

iv) Banks shall extend the scope of concurrent audit to cover cases of delay in reimbursing the customers for failed ATM transactions.

v) Each bank shall place a quarterly review of ATM transactions to its Board of directors, indicating inter alia, the quantum of penalties paid, reasons thereof and the actions taken to avoid recurrence of such instances. A copy of the note along with the observations of the Board shall be forwarded to the Chief General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, Department of Payment & Settlement Systems, Mumbai.

2. The directive is issued under section 18 of Payment and Settlement Systems Act 2007, (Act 51 of 2007). Non-adherence to the provisions of this circular shall attract penalty as prescribed under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act 2007 (Act 51 of 2007).

3. Please arrange to place a copy of this circular before the Board.

4. Kindly acknowledge receipt.

I Made shopping on 02 March 2015, i used my SBI ATM cum Debit card at Metro Store, Moosapet, Hyderabad, for the purchase of Rs 8326/.. After swiping the card machine shows error so, Tryed again and the same thing happend. Then i forced to pay cash, I withdraw from atm and paid cash. Later I checked my account, it shows the amount debited twice of Rs 8326+8326.

I contacted the Metro shop, but as per them they have not received the amount. then I made a written complaint in SBH branch, already 15 days but not yet amount credited in my amount .

Misbehaviour During ATM Deactivation

I have lost my atm card. I have called Sbi customer care for deactivation of my card. But the executive named Rita Pramanik is saying that she will not block my Atm card. She is doing time pass with me in the phone call.
