[Resolved]  Sunrise Aviation, 27 - 28, Mohan Singh Palace, Connaught Place, New Delhi — Return Ticket cancelled b y the travel agent

This is the compalint against sunrise avaitaion based at 27-28, Mohan singh palace, Connaught Place, new delhi. I had booked two return tickets (New Delhi-Heathrow-New delhi) by Virgin Airlines through the said travel agent in the name of ram lal & my wife Urmila.We had made the full payment to the travel agent in cash & we were also issued a recipt & a bill by the Both of had flown to the UK to meet our daughter, son-in-law & our newly born grand son. I had stayed in the UK for a month & returned back to india on the ticket which was booked by the said travel agent. my wife Urmila decided to stay back in the UK as my daughter had delivered a baby boy & she wanted to take care of both of them for some more time. My wife decided to come back to india on the 8th of April 2008 & when she had contacted the Virgin airlines in the UK to reconfirm her ticket she was informed that her ticket has already been cancelled by sunrise aviation & they have also claimed the refund from the airlines. now my wife had to face the mental agony & mental tensions due to the cancellation of the ticket.My son in law had also contacted the travel agent over the phone from the UK but he could not give us any valid reason for the cancellation of this ticket. My complaint is that how can a third person like a travel cancell the ticket without our consent & claim the refund from the air lines
We had gone through lot of mental tensions & mental torture due to the cancellation of the ticket.We had also called number of times to the travel agent's office in new delhi but never got a reply from him. we had faced, lot of mental tensions due to the cancellation by the sunrise avaition. we have also lost our money that we had paid the travel agent towards the booking of our tickets. we would like to have a strict action against the the travel agent so that he is not able to torture & cheat other passengers who book their tickets through them.
