[Resolved] Times Of India — misuse of monopoly by newspaper vendors

i am ankur goel, a resident of sector-11, rohini, delhi. Till three months before, we were availing the newspaper facility properly.But for last 3 months, we are unable to get the newspaper facility at home.All time, we have to reach market to get the newspaper daily. Newspaper venders are Mis-using their monopoly and with no sufficient grounds, they have decided not to deliver newspaper to us.Actually a conversation was happened between newspaper vendor and us, and the matter was not substantial one. it was related to few bad deliveries of newspaper by newspaper vendor and instead of accepting his mistake, he decided not to deliver newspaper to us just because to prove his power. Now as a resident, we have a right to information (Newspaper facility) at home. so kindly take necessary action to stop such monopoly and to provide the residents with necessary facilities. thank you ANKUR GOEL Was this information helpful? We live in Sunciy Appartments in Bangalore at Sarjapur Outer ring road. We have been out for 10 days our newspaper vendor from Times of India is saying we have to pay for full month instead of jus 20 ds inspit of the fact that we have informed him before going that we will be out for these 10 days.

His plea is that since you have taken combo offer of Economic Times and Times of India so it is for complete one month when we talked to Times of India office they say it is totaaly wrong offer is valid even for a day he cannot force customer to give ful month payment.

They also assured us that paper will be start coming from other vendor to us in 2- 3 days then ater 3 days they told us same vendor will deliver you from tommorow but even after 10 days it is not coming inspite of the fact that we have been talking to TOI office every day and every day they assure it will come from tommorow.

Seems TOI has created monopoly of vendors in particula area instead of company controlling the vendors they are controlling the company and not even litsening to them which is creating problem for the cutomers. It was assured to us by Samita Kulkarni, Amar and Asik from TOI Subscription Office Bangalore

Our order no was 264150.

Our Vendor was TKR News Paper Agency his name is TK Ravi Kanth

This should be taken seriously by the company else these vendors are almost hacking the company with their power.
