[Resolved] Dr Lal Path Labs — Confusing report: TSH regd.

My daughter Mrs Piyali Sarkar Kundu, used to visit you lab at Kalyani, West Bengal at regular basis, for getting her Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH ) and Na and Potassium check .
Based on your report ( TSH 3.77 : Lab no.[protected] on 31.3.2022), Dr advised her to take Thyronorm 88 mcg for continuously one year.
Afterwards during 19.3.2023 ( Lab no.[protected] dt.19.3.2023) it was 2.19, and again after one month (19.4.2023 : Lab no.[protected] it shoot up to 5.25. The Na and Pottasium levels are maintaining a steady pattern. But the TSH levels doubled in the last test. The treating doctor asked to recheck, but, the Kolkata officials told that the data is same tested from the stored serum.
This very much confusing.
How is that possible when she is taking the same medicine (Thyronorm 88 mcg) on regular bases.
That is why I have doubt in the said report. I need further fresh test for confirmation.

For confusing data of TSH of my daughter, several mails and phone calls were made with customer care representative for last 3 days( from 20.4 2023, ) to recheck. At last, The concerned doctors of LAL PATH LAB from Gurugram office called me yesterday evening, regarding recollection of blood for serum TSH recheck of my daughter( as per treating doctors advice). It was done accordingly and by noon today, i got the final report of serum TSH on line . The report seems to be ok in accordance to the history of treatment etc. This latest report differs completely from the last report of 19.4.2023. which was exactly double and misleading. If rechecking was not done, the dose would have been improper. Hence, it's requested to ask the technicians to concentrate more while generating data from patient s sample.
