Godrej split ac — Due to heavy dose of chlorpromazine tablet, my dad went unconscious for 12 hours

My name is Rajesh Kumar, son of M.G.Ravitaj. On Jan 3rd, 2022, my dad has visited padma medical store (kalpakkam) for hiccups tablet. Since he had continues hiccups since last night. The medical store staff has given 100mg of chlorpromazine tablet to stop hiccups. After 30 mins my dad has again visited the medical store since the previous tablet was not able to stop the hiccups. The medical store staff has a given another tablet of 50mg chlorpromazine. My dad is a normal person whose age is around 60, who do not have much knowkege on tablets, doses etc. After taking two tablets he went to sleep, later on my dad has lost his conscious completely and continued for the next 12 hours. We are not aware about this issue. He couldn't speak or walk, just lying in bed since morning. We were panic, scared since he could not speak or move. We don't have any idea what happend to him.

Reached nearby hospital and did ecg scan, bp etc and they said its normal. Still they asked to check with nearby govt hospital. We reached nearby govt primary health center in sadras Even they recommended to take him to big hospital.
Around 5pm, we reached C-Dot private hospital in perumbakkam, chennai. They did all test and said he has taken high dose of chlorpromazine drug tablet which is making him to behave like this. We admitted him for 24 hours and then discharged him back to home. We had gone through more stress and pain because of the medical store lady staff's improper knowledge and negligence.

Note:

This issue could be avoided if the medical store staff has given small dose for aged person or she could have avoided giving the tablet for the second time. She is not aware about the consequences of taking heavy dose of this chlorpromazine tablet and just like that she has given 150mg of chlorpromazine tablet. Doctor said, taking heavy dose of this tablet could create severe side effects which could affect the complete body system.

Action need to be taken :

Our entire family gone through severe depression and pain on that day because of the medical store staffs.

I request you to please take necessary action against that staff or give warning to the medical store, so that this kind of carelessness should not happen to any other person. They should understand that each and every person life is very previous.

Note : padma medical is very famous and the owner is very knowledgeable and i used to buy any medicines or tablets since my childhood. No issues with the owner. That lady staff called karpagam (not sure) has to removed from the store else need to give further training on providing tablets with right dose.

Also we spent around 15k for hospital bills because of this carelessness.

Please provide warning letter to the medical store.
