In Mar 2020, I have chosen the Hathway service from a local provider at Hyderabad (Malkajgiri) for prepaid plan of 6 months subscription. Due to Corona, I have shifted to hometown (Kottayam) Kerala in Jun 2020 and the plan expired by Sep 2020.
Thereafter, I used to get the calls and messages from their customer executive about the renewal / extension. For the initial few calls, I have explained them the situation and said I do not wanted to renew the plan and wanted to deactivate my account due to the Corona impact and shift to hometown and the customer care team person at the other end confirmed and said it will be updated.
Even after providing the clarification and receiving the confirmation (from Customer care), I used to get calls from multiple numbers, to whom I kept explaining.
And it didn't went as per the plan and it resulted in mental agony. It was like a torture and without any other way I blocked their numbers (who ever call) and ignore it.
Few days back (first week of Jan 2021), I received a Pre-Legal email notice from the Hathway team to submit the modem / router and I have filled in the details for the pick-up and responded to the email with clarification and evidence of the request submission.
As of today (Jan 26 2021) I have received the similar emails 3-4 time for submitting the pick up request.
I kept answering to the pick-up request and emailing the proofs (screenshot of the request submissions) of the earlier submissions and emails.
It became another headache for me now, where they are not ready to take the item / respond to my emails or provide a solution, instead just keep emailing the pre-legal notice and pick-up request link.
I am still receiving the renewal - extension and offer messages from the Hathway, even after providing the clarification for deactivation of account and submission of pickup requests.
I am not sure how long this will continue and how to proceed. Said that, such emails keep coming in and adding tension and pressure to me for no reason.
