I took IELTS for the second time after getting overall score of 6.5 in first attempt, where itself I felt the test is a scam. But then I thought of retrying it and prepared well through a coaching and appeared for the second time where I scored overall 8 but again they knowingly lowered my mark in writing to 6.5 where in the first attempt I scored 7. So they knowingly force candidates to retake this exam again and again. But this is not the real scam the main scam is written below.
In the second attempt IELTS knowingly did not declare my result till the 49th day after my exam day in the name of investigation, where I called them multiple times to know the reason why it is taking so much time as everything is on computer and in front of camera. But in a lordly manner they put down my phone. Still I felt like giving another shot by retaking just one module which I can do within 60 days of exam. When I went to the portal on 59th day the retake option was not there, so I immediately called there customer service where the agent agreed that it is a mistake and they will enable it soon, but later on the same day they simply denied it by a mail.
So IELTS not even following their own rules. It is just a scam to extract money out of people. Who knows there may be a whole set of consultants and IDP IELTS is working behind this cohesively to cheat money out of people. Anyway I learnt my lesson in a hard way. Just writing this so that it may help someone else to avoid that never ending trap. Was this information helpful? |
