IDP IELTS — Inappropriate management for scheduling Speaking exam

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this e-mail to complain about the conduct of the IELTS administration process, especially the speaking module, that I faced.

Let me brief your first. My speaking exam date was confirmed by IDP only and it was planned on 5th May 2021. However, one day before, on 4th may 2021, I got mail stating that the IELTS exam is cancelled and we have to transfer the exam on the next available date. So, I made myself relaxed and took a one day break from the exam, trusting IDP administration process that I will be informed by IDP in advance for further schedule.

However, this was totally opposite and I got mail on 5th May 2021 at 11:00 AM and it was about my speaking test and stated that the speaking exam is as per previously shared schedule and I need to make myself available before 12:00, so I was having only one hour to make myself present there, and this is impossible with very short notice because I need to make myself ready for exam and I had to travel from another city. What's more, I did not receive any message informing that the exam is as per previous schedule even though it was cancelled. This was a very difficult situation.

To describe the consequences, I would say it is quite obvious that candidates will be in stressful conditions because making their self present from another city is very difficult and many times it can cause mishap or serious injury while driving because candidates have to drive fast to reach at scheduled time. Apart from this, it is needless to say that candidates will be in anxiety and at the same time nervous also which has detrimental effects on exam performance, and the same went with me . These all together can cause lower band scores even after hard work.

I am sure that IDP management can understand the situation and make their entire system so strong that no one would have to suffer from such conditions.

After this, I got email mentioning that my speaking exam will be planned again before 7 days of LRW exam. However, now they denied that we your previous speaking band will be consider and I will be not allowed to give exam again.
