I am very disappointed with the service provided by this bank.
Well.. I had to start off with that line because I have got the worst experience with the Kotak credit card application.

I have applied for a credit card for the first time for my emergency expenses or merchandise expenses. I was told by the Marketing guy named Ravi that I’ll be receiving a call on what type of card I will be needing. I Received a call twice or trice, but not for the type of card but just for my address confirmation for verification. After verification too I dint receive any call regarding what kind of card I needed. Then finally I received a card which had a very high joining fees and annual fees when there are many other cards which had very less joining and annual fees.
Being a beginner in career I don’t want to spend so much on a credit card and moreover I won’t be using it much too. So, I immediately called the customer care who after listening to all my queries told me he raised a service request for reversal of joining fees. Later I called up many times for the status of approval and each time I was told that it was still under process. Recently I received a mail saying that the service request has been cancelled/closed and when I called up the customer care, he told me that it was not approved. So I asked them to cancel the card and then he told me that even after the cancellation I’ll be required to may the joining fees n taxes without even using the card.
This is so pathetic n disappointing from a bank like Kotak Mahindra who, just to reach their Target give a random credit card and then when you ask them they say you need to pay for it without even using it. I am not going to pay it. Why should I ?
Will never ever take another card or apply for any other card or recommend anyone to take a card from Kotak Mahindra bank. Was this information helpful? |
