Dear Students/Parents/Stakeholders,
Few weeks back I had lodged a complaint against National School of Business headed by Dr. Sridhara Murthy at ADVERTISING STANDARDS COUNCIL OF INDIA [ ascionline.org ] which is a body that imposes regulations on the ADVERTISING practices of service providers in India. They follow definite standards and ensure service providers obey those standards.
The Advertising standards Council of India investigated the complaint registered against the college and found that National school of business [headed by Dr. Sridhara Murthy] was indeed engaging in unethical advertising practices because the claims made by Dr. Sridhara Murthy was NOT substantiated by concrete evidence. Hence Advertising Standards Council of India UPHELD my complaint and gave NSB Management a due date of 24th May 2017 to remove/modify the misleading advertisements from the college website. In spite of orders from the ADVERTISING STANDARDS COUNCIL OF INDIA, Dr. Sridhara Murthy hasn't yet made any changes in the website. This clearly shows that Dr. Sridhara Murthy is a highly unethical educationist and is leading the college to ruins. After my complaints against the college at official civic authorities including www.consumerhelpline.gov.in, already Dr. Sridhara Murthy has brainwashed current students to give positive reviews In social media promising good placements in return which the current students will NOT get. I have attached the screenshots of the email correspondence with me and Advertising Standards Council of India. Kindly examine all the screenshots. Dr. Sridhara Murthy should immediately be removed from his office as he is engaging in crime. Please be very careful. You can contact me in Facebook or at [protected]. I will keep you informed about the legal battle.

Dear Mr. Aishik Gupta,
Re: CCC Recommendation– 1703-C.36 – Your complaint against the advertisement of National School of Business

The complaint was considered by the Consumer Complaints Council (CCC) at their meeting.
The Advertiser was provided an opportunity to discuss their submission via telecom. Subsequently, the advertiser submitted their written response. The CCC viewed the website advertisement and considered the Advertiser’s response. Advertiser states that the claims made are based on the ratings given by the rating agencies like Silicon India. The statistics viz. Names of the companies and the salary packages are extremely factual and are supported by the facts given in the attachment titled "companies who have placed NSB graduates". Also, in that attachment, they have mentioned the names of other companies which have recruited NSB graduates but are not a part of the advertising campaign on the website.
As claim support data, the advertiser provided offer letters of eight students, and an All India B School survey 2016 which shows that National School of Business was ranked 9th in the placements category and 3rd in Top B-Schools with Best ROI category. The CCC noted that scope of this survey was under “What if not IIMs”. The CCC noted that the Advertiser did not provide the details of the process of how the selection for award was done i.e. survey methodology, details of survey data, criteria used for evaluation, questionnaires used, names of other similar applicants that were part of the survey and the outcome. There was no direct support for claiming 5th Best for High Salary in South India. The CCC concluded that the claims, “3rd Best for return-on-investment in India” and “5th Best for Highest Salary in South India”, were inadequately substantiated. The claims are misleading by omission of the reference to indicate source of ranking and by implication as it is adjacent to a reference to Forbes survey. The website advertisement contravened Chapters I.1 and I.4 of the ASCI Code. The complaint was UPHELD.
We have asked the advertiser to withdraw or modify the said advertisement by May 24, 2017. If you continue to see the said advertisement after the due date kindly bring the same to our attention.
Thank you for having referred this complaint to us.
Assuring you of our services in the pursuit of Self-Regulation in Advertising.
Yours faithfully,
