I bought Oneplus 9R in 8 months ago. 4-5 months ago it fell and the back panel glass was broken. I had visited Oneplus service center to get it replaced and it was too costly 3000+ INR. Hence I decided to use the phone as I was anyways using the phone cover.
Yesterday it suddenly turned off while I was using google maps. It did not fell or anything in recent past. I visited the same exclusive center in Brigade Road Bengaluru and they say mother board has malfunctioned and they cite the reason that the phone is physically damaged and hence cannot be claimed under warranty(I had bought additional 2 years of warranty, in total 3 years). I explained them that after the phone fell, how come it was working for 4-5 months if something major problem have happened like this(motherboard not working). It was definitely not because it had fell 4- 5 months ago. They refused to acknowledge this and are asking for ~26000 INR for motherboard repair and they can not even recover important data I had. This is a very bad service from Oneplus and is not expected at all. I would appreciate if someone can help in this regard. Was this information helpful? |
