I had purchased a phillips led tv of 40 inches having model no. 40pfl5059 on 21.10.2015 from m/s girias electronics, mahalingampuram main road, t nagar branch. The product was sold under 5 year warranty.
On 06.10.2018 (Saturday) evening, the tv stopped working and then i registered a complaint vide complaint id: che[protected] with philips india customer care which was available on their website on 07.10.2018 (Sunday). After few days, i started to follow up with philips call centre by way of call and chat (Records of chat are enclosed). The call centre was not able to provide any information on timelines or next course of action to be done. Many times, i got a few mobile numbers viz. Area service manager (Selva kumar – [protected]), hari – [protected], mr. Anil jain – [protected] (National service head), but all my efforts of calling and texting them could not garner any fruit. Even after much follow up, when nothing materialised, then, i decided to visit to philips india - southern regional office which is situated at shafee mohammed road, second street, chennai. I paid a visit to the said office, but, the security didn’t allowed me to go inside the office stating that this office does not deal with tv etc. Another employee of the office informed that philips is now not dealing with led tvs and the business was long back sold and now it is managed by third party.
The company has also contacted me on february 1st, 2019 for submission of documents such as invoice copy and cancelled cheque image for refund of the amount which also was submitted to them on february 3rd, 2019. After submission of the email, the company has not even responded for anything. Again the company called and asked to deposit the tv with a company for getting refund. The person in the company is not picking call. Now, i am totally stuck as to where to go for resolution. I want either full refund or a new tv.
