I have booked a ticket from Pune to Akola on Aug 03. Journey date Aug 05.
I wanted to cancel the ticket due to some emergency on Aug 04.
But now RedBus is not allowing to cancel this ticket. The reason they say is, as per their policy, the cancellation time has expired. Means, passenger can only cancel the ticket only before 48 hrs from journey.
What the hell is this policy. This is clearly a chitting case. There are still whole 2 days to go for journey. Can't that be sufficient to get another passenger. This is holy crap. I won't be using redbus from this moment on
And I would urge all fellow citizens to boycott this bloody RedBus .
Its 100% times better to go with actual bus operator online site. At least they can directly be held accountable for all such issues.

We understand your concern, however the cancellation policy is updated from Bus operator and every bus operator as different cancellation policies.If the cancellation policy is expired, Unfortunately we'll not be able to cancel the ticket.
