On 10/06/24, I received a call from [protected]. The person explained about the premium services shine.com will provide if I pay a charge of Rs. 3657.
The performa invoice was generated with the product name 'Application Booster Package'.
I paid that, then the person informed me one relationship manager would be assigned to me and they would start the process.
The next morning, 11/06/24, the Relation Manager (Shiv Pratap Singh, [protected]) called me and started explaining about all the services I would require, based on my current profile.
He started with basic things and asked to complete payments for it one by one, not telling me exactly how much money I had to pay upfront.
These were all the transactions that I paid for:
'Education Verification Plus Package' for Rs. 5192
'Job Profile Verification Plus Package' for Rs. 9556
'Mid Level Resume Writing Services, - Cover Letter - Super Express, Professional Summary' for Rs. 15871.06
'Jobs on the Move' for Rs. 24779
I kept on asking how many payments I had to make, and each time he insisted on being the last one.
Then another performa invoice was generated:
'Career Assessment Test with Expert Counselling, Job and Interview Assistance, Linkedin Profile Summary- Super Express' for Rs. 32106.01
At this point, I had no money left in my bank account and said I couldn't do it. Then he started forcing me to do it through EMI. I said I don't want any services, please start the refund process. He denied informing me that they don't have any refund or cancellation policy.
I kept on requesting him for a refund, but he denied it every time.
Later, one of his seniors joined the call and said if I continued asking for a refund, they would start treating me the same way, and wouldn't help with anything.
When I asked to call him back later, after asking for a refund by calling the shine.com customer care, [protected], he said they won't be able to help and kept on forcing me to pay for this pending last transaction.
I denied it and cut the call.
A few minutes later, I received a call from Harshita Arya ([protected]), saying she was my dedicated Service Account Manager. I explained the situation to her and asked for help with the refund. She said it was not possible. She said she needed a better reason for processing the refund, but later said they don't even have a policy for refund or cancelation, and just denied my request.
After some time, I kept getting calls from the Relationship Manager, Shiv Pratap Singh, trying to convince me to continue with the services. I was still begging him to start my refund process but he said nothing could be done.
He explained the situation to me like this:
"Assume that my way of getting you the services was wrong. What if you get a job because of this, will you think about the money you 'invested' with us, or will you be happy with the new job?"
I again request to cancel my services and start the refund process. The conversation went on for almost an hour with him forcing me to continue the services. I denied. He told me to do whatever I can do, but nothing could be done.
I have not activated any of the services they made me buy.
I'm attaching the screenshots of the performa invoices which I paid for, (total: Rs. 59055.06) and for Rs. 32106.01 which I didn't pay for.

I request you to please cancel all my services, subscriptions, and everything else, and refund my money.
