Dear sir,
Thiruninravur city now comes under CMDA limit. As per the Tamil nadu government noticed dated on 26/02/2012. Actual power cut for Thiruninravur is 2 hours only(4.00pm to 6.00pm). But local electricity in-charge cut the power more-than 8 hours daily. Past 3 year Thiruninravur EB in-charge practice the same and not obey the government of Tamilnadu instruction. Due to this activity all the residents and business persons are suffer lot. Kindly take necessary action for Thiruninravur EB in-charge.

uvari is a small village from tirunellveli district. as per tamilnadu government noticed on 26/02/12 actual power cut of tirunelveli dist is only 4 hours. but local electicity in-charge cut power more than 10 hours daily .when ever we asked about that to the EB officers they said that there is no order issued to them by the government yet.kindly take necessary action for nellai electricity office.

In tiruninravur even they are not giving any prior information about the maintainance power cut.
As per govt norms they should cut only for 2 hours in city. But they are cutting more than 8 hours. Its too ridiculous.
Tiruninravur EB got the award last year for saving more power by cutting.I have seen street lights glowing even at 8:30am in lakshmipuram, selvaraj nagar, anthony nagar. They can save the power by switching off the street lights at correct time instead of cutting people correct indisciplined manner. They want to sustain the award by making lots of children and grandy's suffer.

For your information
There was a maintainance power cut on 3rd apr 2012 from 9am to 5:30 PM.
Again they cutted the power from 10:30 pm to 12 pm.
Key thing is 4th april 2012 is 10th public exam. In thiruninravur we have 4 matric & 1 govt higher secondary schools.

Please take the necessary action sir.
Dear Sir,

for past 3 days(from 23rd May'12 night 10pm) our area which comes under transformer poin(NTM Kalyana Mandabam) is severly suffering from very low voltage current (90 ~ 100v). from eb they replied that transform has to be changed to solve this problem and till today(25th May'12) transform is yet to be changed and we are suffereing with very poor power supply. all well known that normal average temp 112degrees / day for last one week and we feel difficult to saty inside houses without proper power supply.
please solve this probelm on priority

    Respected Honorable Chief Minister,

    I want to give a complaint regarding constant "Powercuts" in my Locality... Because of Annoying Power Cuts in Trichy especially in No:1 Tollgate for about 7 hours in a day to day basis at different time intervals... This Power cut Situation is not at all Fair judgement given by TNEB to people of trichy... Because of this constant Power cuts.. Students from all age group, Working Employees, Family members.. every one are getting affected in there day today life..Students are not able to Study and not able to prepare especially at nights because of powercut... Being a Citizen of india i want to bring this issue to our "Honorable Chief Minister" ... So that a solution to this powercuts situation in my locality will come to an end.. I have seen a constant powercut in chennai to a max of 1 hour even a powercut of 1 hour is acceptable.. But a powercut in my locality for about 7 hours daily is not at all fair... By reading this complaint i want our " Honorable Chief Minister" to take necessary step to bring solution for this problem so that the students education should not be affected...

    I want to bring Solution to this electricity Problem so that the "Students Education" Should not get affected..
    "Students Education is the only concern" Which made me to take this attempt to being this issue to public...
    Even a Constant Power cut off Max three hours in day time also i can accept.. But Students Education is getting affected.. Students not able to read at night because of constant powercut in every half an hour or 1 hour interval after 4p.m onwards...
    So please bring solution by taking this issue to our "Honorable Chief Minister" Ears.. So that a Solution is provide so soon..
    In Tamil Nadu most of the parts are affected frequent power cut i e more than 9 hours a day.Why the government has not taken serious steps to start kudankulam project and save the people of Tamil Nadu from the severe power cut.
    this is a worst goverment never ever seen in my 35 years age in ranipet. please this is humble request to make corrective action for our area or next time this goverment lost the deposit defenetly in all regions. here totally 8 hrs power cut and substation any time power load setting any time after 8hrs load setting. this is all final warning for ranipet sipcot substation employees, because the employees don't give the respect to peoples hust he told what we do,
    I want to register a complaint regarding absolute no power situation in trichy in beemanagar area the power barely stays its more than 16hrs a power cut in day and even in night the power cut extends which is the height.This massive power cuts have been becoming unbearable.Its my humble request to the head of the EB-department of trichy to look in to the matter and cause a little bit of relief by at least reducing the power cut timing

    My eb bill is Rs. 2000. We use one fan, one tube light, tv, fridge, mixie only. This is too much of cost. Before five months i paid only 700 for this. Plz take action for my problem.

      I am residing in 13/20 New Raja Colony, Beemanagar, Tiruchirappalli 620001. Our TNEB Connection No. is[protected]. Since December 2011 the Meter Reading Assessor is not taking the reading subsequently. As a result we are forced to pay more than the power consumed for the past four months.

      It needs immediate rectification that we are able to pay towards power (Electricity) consumed only.

      my name s.thayammal. service no-571.013.1510 kilambakkam vandalur ext.chennai-48. my meter reading dec.11 bill amount Rs-306/ on date of 8.12.2011. this amount paid on 9.12.2011 through internet. feb 2012 reading amount Rs-372/ but your office entry dec2011 paid amount adj for feb 2012entry totally worng entry.and dec 2011 advance iam paid but Rs-69/ fine now iam paid in feb 2012 .WHAT IS THIS. fully tour office mistake. surfor from my self. this matter already inform to vandalur E.B, J.E WRITTING LETTER ALSO.
      pl ref and verifited my e.b bill amount dec2011 and feb 2012 record.

      this fine amount refound or adjust for march 2012. pl order to consin officer.

        residential — Power CUT Problem

        Dear Concerned,

        We are residing in Shalimar Garden Ext 1, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad District. We get electricty only about average 5~6 only some times only 2~3 hours per day. The department/supply distribution division o[censored]P Electricity board diverting the electricity meant for Residential colonies to Industrial Users. The power cuts timings are interesting. Even at the Board Exam times they showed any mercy to us. Even though this much cutting, we get electricity bill for Rs.[protected] for 2 months.

        I request the conceerned authorites to look into the matter and instruct them to rectify this system other wise we all concerned go to higher authority.

          I have applied for a new connection approximately three months before for three phase electric supply for domestic use for plot no:- 32 .Sri samy Nagar, Bhavani Main Road, Paalakkattur,Suriyampalayam Town Panchayat,Erode Taluk,& District.Till now I did not get three phase supply connection.
          Chithod electrical office says that they do not have three phase energy meter for last four months.So I am not able to reside in my house.May kindly take necessary action immediately.

            Some electric wires are found which connected from the Transformer near Aadhi parasakthi koil, central Avenue, MKB Nagar, chennai 600 039 to the nearby houses and shops is seemed to be dangerous to the public. These wires are to be removed and lay under the ground immediately.Several complaints are sent to Tamil Nadu Electricity Board but all in vain. Please take an immediate action by concerned authorities so as to avoid an untoward incident.
            In our street in Anakaputhur, Ramalingam street, MGR Nagar, the electric posts are erected in both the sides. The width of the road will be only 18 to 20 feet. No vehicle can come inside the street. The side where the drainage connection a big kaalvai next to that the electric post is laid leaving the vast space in the opposite side left blank. All the posts are laid in the left side and only one post on the right side which is very disturbing the vehicle coming inside the street.

              Dear sir,

              For the past few months I've been paying my EB bills thro' TNEB website - online payment service(https://www.tnebnet.org/awp/). There were no issues at all. However, after restructuring TNEB, some change happened in their website, which is causing hell a lot of problem.

              After a delay of 1 month (i.e. approx. 3 months from the last term) the meter reading was taken during last week (2nd wk of Dec'11) for us. We were asked to pay within 20 days of time. Yesterday & today, when I tried to pay the current term bill payment, surprisingly I could not see bill payment option at all. Moreover in the 'Bill status', I could view only service connection detail of our house in Virudhunagar, but service connection of my house where I reside in Hosur is not found at all. In fact, I registered for both, and used to pay bills for both.

              Changes done in the online payment site is so horrible, for examble, you can not view by a specific service number at all.

              Hope the concerned officials would look into this & resolve the issue.

(PF No.TN/19248/3744) long back before 3 ½ Years and also followed with Chennai and Mumbai PF office’s by raising frequent grievances the details are attached herewith for your reference but till they have not taken steps get the above cleared.Therefore I kindly request your good selves to intervene in the above issue and sort out the same at the earliest.                     Sir, I am working in central excise office and a resident of Veppangal village. The present complaint is about electric supply disruption to consumer no.[protected]. the address of the consumer is Shri.N. Rajendran, Karambur road street, Veppangal, Pallikonda, Vellore district, Tamilnadu635809. One transformer available at my area has been taken off and the current supply is disrupted. Even after a month of complaint to the local TNEB office no action has been taken for restoration of current at the residence. Kindly do the needful.

                    We are the residents of Sankarapuram 2nd Street, Palavakkam, Chennai – 600041, here we are facing low voltage and frequent fluctuation in current for many many months. In spite of giving repeated complaints to the Electricity Board this problem is not rectified. Even the most commonly used electric equipments which are mandatory are not functional, we are running without water for days together as the motor pump is not working due to low voltage. We were earlier informed that the problem is due to our house being towards the end of distribution of power from the transformer which is quite a distance from our area, we were also informed that two new transformers have been allotted for our area whereas now after 5-6 months have passed but no sign of any improvement in fact the situation has worsened. Because of this issue, we do not even get the benefits of electrical equipments such as AC/Fridge/Washing machine on time, especially during these peak summer months. Families with infants and elders who are bed ridden are the most affected. It is our request that this matter be given some importance and looked into.

                      With regard to electricity payment, TNEB never cares about neither consumer nor their payment. Am residing in Nanmangalam locality, which comes under Kilkattalai EB (Chennai) jurisdiction (for payment) for complaint they have opened an office in Nanmangalam itself. I have been residing in this flat more than a year and no EB personnel have come to take meter reading and none bother about the payment even.

                      Here we have to take the reading and give it to Kilkattalai office for making entry in their system and the locality of the office is horrible and there is no proper response, a typical govt. office. Whenever we go for making entry at least 25 people will be standing in a queue for making payment. The reason behind is, "NO INTERNET FACILITY". Even today i went there and found people standing in a big queue (about 45 people) for making payment, the sad thing is, even today the Internet facility is not working. I don't know why the hell they have given Internet facility.

                      Its ridiculous to see these govt. offices which never care about the public and there is no one to hear our grievances.

                      Dear Sir,

                      I have requested in the EB office counter. They asked me to check with the AE. AE inturn asks me to check with the counter. The system is not allowing us to make advance payment. We have paid all our payments regularly. I am worried if I will be penalised for no fault of mine. Can you please help me solve this issue.

                      My earlier complaints have also not been replied.

                      I completely agree with you Gowtham. The collection system in Kilkattalai Office is very poor. we can neither yell at collection staffs there nor avoid the payment. They say resource problem to asses the meter readings. My openion here is to allow us enter the meter reading, so that bills can be generated and online payment become available to the public.

                        The TNEB officer visits our workshop and reports as if there is theft of energy utilising the provisions of law u/s 135(1) e and books for misuse of tariff .He says car service centres tariff come under Commercial and not 3B Tariff .we have been using the service for several years.No tariff change intimation is received .Paid the current bills till date at the 3B tariff .he demanded to pay a huge amount as compounding fees and levy charges and insisted to pay within 24 hrs or criminal complaint will be given .There is no release for his misuse other than to pay and fight

                          Meter reading not taken, but payment needs to pay without any proof

                          The Tamilnadu electricity board, chennai south [west tambaram], they are not taken any consumption reading for the past month, i have checked frequently regarding the online payment with my login, but it shows 'meter reading not available' suddenly last week its shows the last time amount which i already paid & the same needs to pay this time too. The remarks shows DOOR LOCKED, how it could be, because i am residing in TNHB...

                          Ashok Nagar - facing frequent power trips and un-informed and these power trips occur not in any single phase all three phases go off every time there is a power trip. No proper response from the TNEB and these go unattended everytime minimum 4 - 5 times a day, apart from the 1 hr standard power shutdown. This affects the normal day life and this also occurs sometimes at mid night and becoming untolerable.....

                          We are residing at 77th street, 16th Avenue, Ashok Nagar, Chennai 83.. (our mob [protected]/[protected])
                          We have been facing acute power cuts frequently almost 10 hrs in a day apart from regular cut of 2 hours.. pls look in to and rectify at the earliest.. our household gadgets are not functioning properly due to low voltage too..
                          TNEB, Ashok Nagar service personnel even though they are hearing our complaints, but no permanent solution has been taken yet..

                            unscheduled power cut in our area-mahaveer nagar kolathur chennai 600099.EB authorities never mind the sleepless problem of school going children, just born babies, office goers and tablet taking elderly patients.More over AE/periyar nagar was irresponsible in addressing the issue and especially his talks to the ladies.pl do the needful and AUTHORITIES CONCERNED MAY ATLEAST EDUCATE AEs TO CUSTOMER FRIENDLY.
                            Now they give only less then 10 hrs perday

                            in night every one by one hour only power available thats include in that 10 hrs

                              We are facing frequent power cut in Murugesan street, Irumbuliyur, East Tambaram area without any announcement. This happening for the past one month. The power cut is happening at anytime morning or evening specifically at night and mid night times and we are unable to sleep at nights properly.                               till 8.1.2012 noone from TNEB east tambaram turned up for taking reading at sharma street east tambaram inspite of repeated request to the AE
                              concerned as a result we are facing addl burden to pay the huge amt of the bill due to exceeding 600 units wheather authority is able to bear the loss
                              still no one turned up to take reading no reply received from AE concerned
                              suitable action needed in this regard

                                IT HAS BECOME A REGULAR PROBLEM OF POWER FAILURE IN OUR AREA ALMOST AS THE AUTHORITY LIKES IT.WE ARE READY TO BEAR DURING DAY TIME.                                   I need a immediate attention to my problem which am paying Electricity Bill around 4 thousand because of the fault meter. For which I am regularly going in person to the EB Office located in our area and very irresponsible persons are there very worst response and when Contacted one of the staff not even known whether they are an employee or contract - they after a long explanation gave a cell no. and told it belongs to the A.E. of the area and they not even disclosing their name or the A.E. name . I went in person to the E.B office no. of days almost for a week 4/5 times and none of the time I can able to even see or meet the A.E. and whenever asked was told by the lady staff who seats out of the A.E.'s room - A.E. is not here no more explanation whether he is on leave or will be coming in an hour or so.

                                  I am literally don't know whom to contact to get my things cleared. I don't know whether they expect any bribe. Because few other persons - staff of the E.B office mainly the person called as C.I. - told its tough there is a demand for the new meter to be replaced and you will also be in a big Queue. We can't tell how long the process of changing the meter will take..

                                  I am having our Meter showing very excess reading irrespective of the usage of the electricity.

                                  Its in the name of V. Viswanathan [ House Owner]

                                  The Electricity meter working for the above connection seems to be having fault as it is showing
                                  reading roughly between 17 to 22 units per day. We have also verified / checked our Air-Conditioner
                                  & Refrigerator with two technicians and it seems to be normal.

                                  The meter reading is increasing day by day with a huge difference and its a huge money I have already paid last month around 4,000/- for which I have not even utilized for Rs.1,000/-. I have also given an oral complaint to the Nanganallur - A.E. [ Was told Incharge] on 27th Aug, 2011 and subsequent to that I have given a detailed Written Complaint to the Nanganallur - A.E. on 30th Aug, 2011 and I followed up with the staff on the same for the replacement of our Meter Box for more than a week.

                                  But till now no action was taken and I am unnecessarily paying a huge amount to E.B. for which I have not consumed the relevant Electricity and I don't know to which level should I need to escalate to get a proper action for my problem.

                                  Expecting a speedy response at the earliest.

                                    Recently the TNEB has stopped accepting cash payments across counters if the amoutn is over 2000/- and instead are asking for Demand Drafts from Banks for the amount, in case the users cannot pay online. Sometimes when you go to pay there are amounts they say needs to be paid, which is normally less than 150-200 Rs, but still the obiedient employees of TNEB ask the consumers to go and get another draft for the difference amount, refusing to accept cahs for the difference. Point to note is "Who pays for DD charges"..Why should consumers pay DD charges..? If TNEB wants Demand Drafts, they should allow the charges to be decuted from the payment. With the recent increase in the Tariff and the billing cycle every 2 months, most of the consumers will cross the Rs. 2000/- limit.
                                    Tha language they use and lack of respect for anyone is truly a frustrating experience for many.
                                    May be this is one of strategy TNEB has opted to avoid consumers coming to them for making payments and instead opt for Online payment..!! If it is so, am happy, they are doing a great job of ill-treating people so that no one comes back again.
                                    Another interesting thing to note is the time they work,,,when they come in, it takes 30-45 minutes for them to start their computers, only 2 counters get opened and their computers/printers dont work and they ask consumers to go next line. But they are good at shutting down for Lunch andpost lunch, again the same strategy of "lazy work" and they shut at 2.30 sharp, telling everyone who are waiting to come the next day...
                                    I remember the issues DESU (Delhi Electricity Board) had few years back and privatisation of billing and collectionbrought some serious focus in this area and improved the revenue for DESU.

                                    I thik it's hightime TNEB thinks that way, packs off these tenured, unwiiling employees of TNEB and hands over the activity to a Consumer oriented organisation.
