We are facing frequent power cut in Murugesan street, Irumbuliyur, East Tambaram area without any announcement. This happening for the past one month. The power cut is happening at anytime morning or evening specifically at night and mid night times and we are unable to sleep at nights properly. Requesting concern departments to take necessary action as soon as possible. Thanks in advance....

Recently the TNEB has stopped accepting cash payments across counters if the amoutn is over 2000/- and instead are asking for Demand Drafts from Banks for the amount, in case the users cannot pay online. Sometimes when you go to pay there are amounts they say needs to be paid, which is normally less than 150-200 Rs, but still the obiedient employees of TNEB ask the consumers to go and get another draft for the difference amount, refusing...

I'm residing in medavakkam. Kamaleshwaran @ kamal is a staff of our area eb office. He is asking five to ten times of money to change name, tariff, to correct some simple problems. But he's not giving receipt for that. Regularly he's doing like this to me and some peoples when i sent to him.
But after collecting some details about him, he is not a regular staff in eb. He is just a contract labour in medavakkam eb office....

My supply from TNEB was a very low voltage (yesterday) the day before I complain. I tried to call my TNEB branch office i.e., Perungalathur but the number was busy right from 7 pm to 12 am. In Chennai Ambattur area(Pattaravakkam), the Tamilnadu Electricity Board carry out unauthorised power cut daily after 12'o clock at midnight to morning 3'o clock.It has been very difficult for us to sleep .This has become a routine for the local TNEB staffs and the reason is unknown.and not getting any proper response from the electricity board.Complaints to their offices were never heard...

We are the residents of Ranganathan Nagar, I Cross Street, Selaiyur, Chennai – 600073, here we are facing low voltage and frequent fluctuation in current for many many months. In spite of giving repeated complaints to the Electricity Board this problem is not rectified. Even the most commonly used electric equipments which are mandatory are not functional, we are running without water for days together as the motor pump is not working...

I am staying nearby rippon building. We are facing longer hours powercuts daily. Even if we make a complaint to EB office, they are giving us really irresponsible answers and asking us to sleep in terrace. Very poor customer service... They are not mainting proper cables....

this is with reference to the my online complaint at TNEBNET.ORG/CCMS, there has been constant low volateg of 140 V all through the day and night, the neutral line is out, so we had no option but to connect it to the earth line which is highly dangeraous to life and liberty of the residents(neutral line of all the house connected to the pole are out, so the problem lies with pole neutral and not with the connecting wires),

we are living in chennai suburb in madipakkam and we are getting very low voltage 183V instead of 230 V though we have 3 phase meter in place.
We reside in THIRUMURAN ST, SAKTHI NAGAR EXTN, MADIPAKKAM, CHENNAI -91

We are facing the issue for the past few years and no one is resolving this issue.

There is a heavy voltage drop continuously in this area.. Im residing in Tellus Avenue Phase II, where the power problems exists for more than 2 months.. No proper care is taken.. The transformers arent there to boost up the supply or step up.. All the people are suffering in this area.. Please do the needful ASAP.. or let me know the situation prevailing in this area and what are the actions taht are going to be carried on.....

Sub: Very bad voltage fluctuations in the area Panayur, chennai 119.

I dont understand why the EB is not fixing additional transformer or increasing the capacity of transformer in this area. More houses, hence air conditioners and hence lot of power consumption. The house at the last of the line suffers very badly.

All that the EB officials say - there is this problem through out TN.

Who is answerable...
