I paid my annual subscription for The Hindu on 31st March 2016. As per confirmation I was supposed to start getting newspaper from 16th April 2016 which I am not getting as on 6th May 2016.

I contacted customer care for more than 10 times and even wrote mail to customer care 5-6 times but all in vain. There is absolutely no response

This is not expected from The Hindu and will appreciate a quick response

I have subscribed for the hindu on yearly basis.
Recently i shifted my place and raised request for change in address.
The day i raised request, i stopped getting newspaper. When i called up and checked, i was told that it will take 15 days.

I waited for 15 days, didn't get any newspaper after that.
Since then i am calling almost every day to customer care and i am assured that i will be getting newspaper next day but there is no resolution for issue.

This is highly discouraging. I am not going to subscribe this paper again. But i want this issue to be resolved as i already paid money.

I traveled from Chennai central to annanagar west a distance of 10.3 km at 2340 he's on 04/05/2016. To my surprise the charge came to Rs 571/- almost 50 rupees per km inOla mini. They are telling it pick time charge pls publish and see how old is exploring the Chennai people. My phn no is [protected]. I[censored] wish I can give u the bill copy also. Every time at this time of night my bill comes approx Rs 160/- to Rs 180. This is a great fraud going on to the people of Chennai. Pls flash it so that other peoples can beware of OLA.

Till today, there is not even an iota of interest shown by the hindu to change the status quo. Despite repeat reminders through mails and telephone calls, i have not had any response or refund or even the delivery of newspapers

We have not been receiving the hindu newspaper from 11th october till end of october. We received for a few days in early november and then we have stopped getting newspaper from 3rd november completely. My wife did talk to mr. Kannan about this on 3rd november and he assured that he will personally look into this but nothing happened after that

Once more i am asking you to refund my subscription money as this is wasting my time and you guys have also not shown any interest in sticking to your commitment despite you taking full subscription money well in advance

Since the beginning of this month, october 2015, i have not received newspaper on 2nd, 6th, 7th and 11th. I am tired of calling up you guys (Cust. Care, kannan etc) and letting you know that the newspaper has not come. I do not want to waste 5 rupees (On calling charges alone) every time the newspaper is not delivered

You guys are just not capable of sticking to your commitment. Obviously there are serious issues in your door delivery mechanisms. I don't think no one mentioned in this mail is interested in addressing it. Its not my job too.

I certainly would like to start my day in a better way. So lets get this closed for once. I ask you to refund my subscription amount as i don't think this problem will be solved forever

As requested by you, i am sending the mail which details the issues that i have been facing with the 'the hindu' subscription.

I have subscribed for the hindu annual subscription (Rs 699) recently and i have been promised by the 'the hindu' agent who collected the cheque that the subscription will start from august 1st and the paper will be delivered at 6 am at my residence in thiruvanmiyur. In fact i verified with him a couple of times about 6 am delivery commitment before handing over the cheque to him

Then i didn't receive the paper on august 1st and i had to call up the customer care and file a complaint and then the paper was delivered to me at 9.30 am on august 1st. It was the same situation yesterday also (Aug 2nd). Today i did not receive the paper and i got a call from the agent (Ezhumalai - [protected]) at 1 pm saying that he will deliver today (I am already in office and i am doing my lunch, i don't know what purpose is going to serve...). He is also saying that he can deliver only at 6.30 am from tormorrow.

When i told him that 6 am was the commitment given by the hindu. He rudely said that it is not valid as it was given by someone else and i can go and talk to anyone i want at 'the hindu'

Let me put some things in perspective here

1. I did not go out looking for a door delivery subscription. 'the hindu' came to my door step
2. I did not force the 'the hindu' to commit to a 6 am delivery. 'the hindu' committed to it (All these days i have been going to the newspaper store and getting the paper myself)

Now the 'the hindu' after collecting the cheque going back on what has been committed is just 'not done'

Hence based on the above situation (Non-delivery and not sticking to commitment), i ask the 'the hindu' to refund my money. I am fine going back to my usual routine of walking upto the store and getting the paper myself

To be frank, i have better work to do rather than talking to someone who does not have any decency and also sitting and writing mails like this during my office time. To add to that, i don't want to start my day calling up the 'the hindu' customer care and reminding them to deliver my paper.

Please let's get this done quickly and we can all go back to our usual lives

I have taken 6 months subscription of The Hindu Newspaper. I stay in Machavaram, Vijayawada. From last few weeks, I am not getting newspaper at least once a week; even if I am getting it, it is as late as 7.30 am. When I call the local supplier (James), he responds properly but sometimes, his phone is switched off.

I think the best solution is to change the newspaper boy. The previous boy used to give newspaper by 6 am.

I have subscribed for businessline 8 months ago. Paid in full advance by cheque but havent got a single paper till now. Checked with sales executive who collected cheque - no response.

Called[protected] from your website but response was not helpful, asked me to call[protected] but never got a response from this number.

Website doesnt have complaint number to call. Other numbers are useless. Wrote mail to [protected]@thehindu.Co.In yet to get a response.

I took a one year hindu newspaper subscription online on 25th march 2016
And its been 30 days i haven't received the paper yet. The delivery was supposed to start from 1st april.
I have called on the customer care almost 100 times and every time i have been given a false assurance that paper will be delivered from tomorrow or the problem will be solved in next 24hrs.
When i got in touch with the local newspaper vendor, he told me he needs coupons of the hindu to start the delivery. These i had complained on 5th april and i was assured that i will get coupon in 1-2 days.
How much time does the hindu requires to deliver the coupons? In these many days even i could have traveled to chennai and collected the coupons. That too 2-3 times.
I am not able to fathom that is this such a big deal, which can't be sorted out in 1-2 days. Can't the hindu team get in touch with the local newspaper vendor and start the delivery..
Never expected such a response from hindu (Deemed to be more responsible/ethical news organization). This is possibly the worst newspaper service i have ever received.
I am really disgusted now and can't bear this further, if hindu team cannot start the delivery in few days then
Please kindly cancel my subscription and refund the amount.

I have been using The Hindu mobile app for close to a near now. I appreciate the wonderful content and timely delivery. But lately from 18 April 2016, I am not able to receive updates on city news, sports and entertainment section. Only the top news, breaking and the opinion columns get updated. Can you kindly check on this affair.

The distribution provider Sarvodaya of Jodhpur, Rajasthan for THe HINDU newspaper is not providing the printed edition of the newspaper since from 10 days.
As I am a Civil Service aspirant have to read the newspaper everyday. It's very important for me. Please look into this matter as soon as possible.

Today distributer stop the service of english the hindu newspaper due to shortage he said me. It is very strange to hear me, is it possible?
While some other are receiving the same.

I have subscribed to Hindu news paper in November 2015 for 6 months and received paper from December 2015 to February 2016 .I am continuously asking the retailer to send the paper from last one month there is no proper response. The major drawback with me is I lost the bill .could you please help me in getting the soft copy of my bill by the help of my mobile number and email.I strongly believe that my problem will be resolved in favour of me.I have also subscribed for another news paper for 1 year they never ever missed a paper even for 1 day and I haven't expect this kind of odd behaviour from a largest organization like THE HINDU otherwise I might be keeping my bill safe.

I had requested for change of address and given request on 19 march 2016. But even after 18 days no communication and very bad response. Every time after talking to call centre there is no headway very bad service and this is breach of trust and complete failure on promise

In march, a man with a valid hindu ID card acme and introduced an offer wherein we get a year long subscribtion at just 499 per year. We made the payment thru cheque. He promised we would get it frm APRIL 1 but we are yet to get it.

Even after subscribing to the Hindu and paying yearly charges, I haven't received the paper for first one week. My Subscriber ID is [protected]. I had made many calls and mails to customer care and finally they have agreed upon extending the subscription. The complaint reference number is 056444 for subscription extension. But no update on this so far even after so many mails. Please resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

I am not receiving paper regularly. Went for rs 699 subscription for a year. Paper is not delivered at least twice a week. Contacted the manager vijay [protected]. After several followup he shared the distributor number srinivas [protected]. Every time i didnt receive newspaper i have to call this guy srinivas and he said he will look into it but nothing is happening. Same irregularity is happening again and again. If this is the case going to continue, i would request to refund subscribed amount asap.
I am not interested in following up almost every alternate day.

We have not been receiving the paper regulery.missing the supply atlest 3 days a week.have complined about this many times but still the same problem continues...please do the necessary measures as we already subscribed for 6 months till july 30...giving details,
