I have subscribed for the hindu newspaper for one year from 1st of nov 2016 from the beginning i was not receiving newspaper regularly i had complained about the matter and i have been assured that it will be resolved in very few days but it's been more than 2 days but i did not get any resolution from them. Not even any response from the hindu.
Now my vender is not at all delivering it for 15 days i don't know whether he does not receive from the hindu or he gets but sell it to someone else.
Its's irritating when you have paid for what you are not getting.
There is no one to take care of the customers query.

      I have subscribed (Yearly subscription) "the hindu tamil" on 22-nov-2016. The amount got debited from my bank account for the full year and i received an sms with subscription no: [protected] and stated that i will receive the news paper from 01-dec-2016 onward. But i didn't receive any news paper till now. I spoke to hindu customer care at[protected] on 01-dec-2016 and they said "we will speak to concern person and resolve the issue within 72 hours". After that there is no response from hindu. I follow up with the customer care daily. But till now i didn't receive any news paper.

      I have paid full amount, because i trust hindu. But i am little bit nervous now. Try to resolve the issue by today and sent the news paper from tomorrow or refund my money back.

        Hi

        I subscribed to the hindu in the month of nov with yearly subscription online, as per the communication email, i would start receiving the paper from nov 16, 2016. Today it's 3rd dec and till now i have not received paper even once.
        I am so fed up with their customer care, every time a new person picks up and say they will call back back and resolve the issue with 24 hours. They never called and i have called more than 10 times now. I logged my complaint on 18 nov. I asked them to refund my rs 1530 if they can't deliver paper. This is so unfortunate that their helpline is so useless and they are harassing us by lying everyday and wasting our time on followups (They never call, we call everyday) if we had this much time to waste, we would have taken paper directly from vendors on our own instead of doing things online.

          I have paid for one eyar subscription of the hindu and the home dleivery (Address given below) was supposed to be starting from 1 dec 2016..in spite of lodging a complaint yeterday and speaking to your field staff several times, the paper was not delivered on 1st dec as well as 2nd dec 2016. I do not now whether it is going to be delivered on 3 dec and subsequently.

          What is the use of lodging the complaint with the hindu? I only hear empty promises. No one is even responding properly. Does it not amount to cheating the public? I

          I would like to withdraw my subscription. Please arrange to return the amount to the address given below? I may have to go to consumer forum if i do not receive the amount by tomorrow

              Even after 2 months the newspaper not started to deliver to my home. Sent couple reminders but no response. I had a good opinion about the century old newspaper company The Hindu, but after reading, hearing and experiencing the poor response and irresponsible governance, i feel pity on the company.

              Good Indian newspaper...as people in abroad will never have this kind of troubles. Super Hindu. Keep it down. People will answer as each reader matters on physical news paper.

              Subscription money handed over on 11th September 2016 with the agreement to have the paper delivered from Oct 01st 2016. But no luck so far.

              Advise: Dont subscribe at any stall by The Hindu as they are fake.

                      This is the Lethargic Approach shown by your Team Members for an Annual Subscriber like me for both the versions " English and Tamil ".. This is about the complaint which I have registered for not receiving THE HINDU on October 1st and I have intimated to one Mr. Kannan [protected]. The thing is that it's not about the non-issuance of daily magazine but about the false commitments and non -relevant informations to us like " I have to put petrol for 100 rupees", your house is too far to deliver, I have informed the local agent, Definitely I will give it on 15th october etc., etc., but till date there is no genuine response. Since I find some time today to share my views on it for a reputed NEWS BARON like your's this is all, looks awkward. Sorry to mention this word. I am a resident of Nagamalaipudukottai, Madurai and my address is Plot No; 9, LG nagar, Madurai -19. On my own will I have opted for this Annual Subscription and recently I have bought MS - book devoted to the Musical Legacy of India. My concern is about the Mis-management and i don't know whether this mail will give a solution for subscriber's like US. Expecting your acknowledgement and revert and necessary actions taken regarding this Lethargic treatment provided to us.

I got a reply that newspapers cant be supplied due to service not available in locality and hence will grant refund of the money paid ll grant refund as service is not available at my locality. Since last 15 days i have called them 3-4 times but only one reply "this book is not received by pondicherry office." whereas same is available in city like chennai and even in salem. If you are not able to supply why do you advertise? Who is at fault at you end.

                              I had applied for the hindu newspaper yearly subscription for home delivery. Below are the details. The location is Koramangla 1st block-Bangalore.

                              You may notice that payment was done on sep 12 and paper was supposed to be delivered from 1st oct on wards.

                              I didn't get any newspaper till 5th oct. Then I raised a refund request twice for which complainant no is 11067, 11068.

                              Till today 20 oct I didn't get the refund money in my account and whenever I contact The hindu on[protected] they say" we have forwarded your request with priority and our back end team will contact you".
                              The back end team never calls and we feel like cheated.

                              This is to inform anyone who is willing to buy The hindu in Bangalore, please think 100 times as they will never deliver paper on time, even if they do it will be discontinuous as few of my friends are facing.

                              Also, my bad that even my friends suggested and even I saw many complaints in this forum, I decided to go ahead and buy The hindu.

                              To The Hindu team,

                              You are loosing our faith and even being a good news paper your commitment to people delivery services are poor and we will not reefer anyone to buy The Hindu. Please just refund my money asap and hope that part at least can be done quickly.

                              Well I don't think you would deserve a star atleast. I have subscribed for the Hindu annual plan where the amount gets deducted monthly through the standing instructions given on my credit card. I made the initial payment on 31.08.2016. Subscription started from 16.9.2016. I have not received the newspaper for 15 days till date and have been contacting an irresponsible and ride area manager who is not willing to help. Contacted customer care who keep calling me everyday asking about the status of the newspaper which I have not been receiving since past 1 week. You have such bad delivery channels and rude rude area managers in your office who looks after the delivery of newspaper. My subscription I'd is [protected]. Refund the amount.
                              I called your toll free no.[protected] on 16/09/2016 for a copy of Ms revisited book and subsequently 3 reminder calls . So far no book and no information.
                              pl. let me know whether i will get the book or not.

Yet i have received only 3 copies of the magazines so far. There was no revert from the customer care even after i have send 2 mails recently. There is no option to modify the address online and i have requested for address change on mail and that is also not addressed. Please look into the matter

                                    I hail from koramangala Bangalore. One of the marketing executive came to my residence with an offer of annual subscription of The Hindu - English newspaper @ 599.
                                    Offer was good and they said, delivery will happen from 16th Oct 2016.
                                    For past 3 days, I haven't received a newspaper. I received IVR calls and I mentioned that I didn't receive it.
                                    But, I am getting no responsible response from either that marketing guy nor that CCE.

                                    Please refund my money or provide service properly. This is not done!!

                                        I have subscribed to The Hindu newspaper on their website and made payment for 6 months. My subscription id is [protected]. I have not received the newspaper initially for almost a month. After a lot of follow up and mails, I finally started receiving the newspaper and the agent promised me that they would supply the newspaper for 1 year because of the inconvenience caused. The supply was very irregular. I have raised a lot of complaints by calling the customer care and also spoke to the agent. From the past 20 days, I have not been receiving the newspaper. I have called the customer care, sent emails but the problem is still not sorted. Also, I started getting messages that my subscription is going to expire which means they are not going to supply the paper for 1 year.

                                        So, effectively, on subscribing for 6 months, I have got the supply only for 3 months.

                                        It is just useless to rely on the company website or any kind of subscriptions. Best thing to do is to get a regular supply from a local vendor. By doing this, we can pay the bill based on the supply at the end of every month. Also, I have lost total interest in buying or even recommending The Hindu to anybody. Going to shift to Times Of India from now on.
