We had chosen Evok to redo our kitchen a week back. After finalising everything from design, layout and material, we signed the contract with them and paid them the advance money. Today, after 2 days of signing the contract and finalising the price (which was not a trivial amount), your representative tells us that the material we chose for the cabinets cannot be used for a plain finish, which we had selected. He also said that the material can only be used for a grooved finish, FOR WHICH WE WILL HAVE TO PAY EXTRA.
This is absolutely ridiculous on your part. This information should have been shared with us before we signed the contract and paid the money. On top of that, your representative refused to admit his mistake and accept any accountability for not sharing this vital information before. He is blaming the vendor (which is not our headache). And this is not after one meeting with your team. We met them at least thrice before everything was finalised. Why was this not raised during any of these meetings? Or is it that your sales team is not well informed about their product?
This is highly unprofessional on your part and it seems that this is a way of EXTORTING money out of your clients.
We are disappointed with the way things have shaped even before the work has started and don't think it will be a pleasing experience later, which makes us wonder whether we should continue with the order or not. While we were looking at getting the finished product before Monsoons, this miscommunication has delayed the entire project.
Your team has wasted our valuable time so far and if you do not look into this matter, you will lose a valuable customer too.
