I found vrl speed cargo movers (Navi mumbai based) on packersmoversbangalore.in.
They (Mr. Vinod & mr. Sumit) gave me quotation of rs. 8500 all-inclusive for packing, loading, unloading, unpacking based on photograph i had sent. They (Mr. Rajpal and 1 more) came to my house. Made a bill of rs. 8500 + rs. 1576 (Gst) + rs. 500 (Packing / unpacking).
They offered insurance @ 3% cost to which i agreed. Not mentioned to me at that time was... Insurance is an *open* policy... This has zero meaning. I explain it below.
My l. R no of this consignment is: 1204.
They said, before we leave your house, you shall get an email confirming insurance plus other details that'll let you track online. I did not get the promised email at that time. Nor was i given any document that explained insurance coverage & claim details.
I reached out to their bangalore office and spoke to mr. Mandeep who said he'll send very shortly. As of this email, nov. 05, 2017, i have been waiting for over 48 hours now.
Mr. Mandeep nager who mans the bangalore office had the bindaas to say, since you are bothering me with confirmation email, insurance details, logistic details, etc., i will not send it to you any more. He finally sent me something which is as good as a hand-written completely unofficial intent-only of insurance note. So my suspicion is what i have captured in the scam paragraphs below.
What i think the scam is:

They will hold off on actually insuring my goods. They'll deliver the goods. Should the goods arrive damaged, then they will retro the insurance and the insurance may compensate me 80% of the goods-value. Should the goods arrive undamaged, then they will never insure. They (Transporters & insurance company) will simply pocket the money i have already paid in insurance.
Another thing is, when the guy came to pick up the good in thane, they said, we are same as vrl logistics. But that is completely not true. There are many companies such as vrl speed that are simply piggy-backing on the good name of vrl logistics.

And now the reality when my goods were delivered

6 items came damaged. I raised a complaint. There has been zero response from the company. The bangalore branch says since your shipment originated from mumbai, talk to navi mumbai office. The navi mumbai office says, since the delivery was done by bangalore office, talk to them. They are having me bounce from one to the other.
Subsequent calls to them go unanswered or deflected saying - call me in 1 hour, i am on a bike, or talking to other customer or am a 2-hour lunch break.

They are big time cheaters, unproffessionals, and insurance frauds. Never go to them. I will not leave thism I am planning to move to consumer court.
