I am really disgusted by the transport service provided tamil nadu government. You call your buses ultra deluxe but its worst than garbage trucks. I travelled from cuddalore to bangalore on 29 april, 2018 (623, seat 16). I really regretted for booking in that bus as i suffered severe back injuries because of the seat and the cleanliness of the bus was really sad. I have decided to hereafter never use your horrible bus service for my personal, family and also will discourage my friends and colleagues and staffs to refrain using your bus service.

    This is srinivasan from vellore i'm working in chennai as a marketing manager, yesterday[protected] travelled in (Chennai to housr setc) tn 01 an 1129 the bus taken from koyambedu main busstand approximately 10.45 reached at 2'clk vellore (New busstand)

    My concern is the bus seats conditions are very bad & the main thing is the driver behavior is really bad he's name (Palaniswamy), because why i'm telling this, i requested to stop a bus in vallalar bustop but the driver didn't stop at the same he didn't give proper response. At 2'clk how can i go, my fare from 5 kilo meters from bus stand. Please kindly let me know. I need proper action. Kindly do needful

      Sir,

      Myself and my family have booked ticket from Velankanni to Trivandrum on 01/04/2018 (please find attached ticket for details).

      Before travelling from Velankanni, we enquired in the SETC office in velankanni regarding the kerala strike and they told they are not aware of it and the bus will come on time and will reach trivandrum on time without any delay as there is no information.

      The bus came on time and was going on fine until 4 a.m. when the conductor came to us and asked us to get out the bus saying that due to kerala strike, the bus will not go any further as they were informed to drop us in Marthandam. Me, my wife and my daughters with 4 years and 10 year old were asked to get out of the bus at 4 a.m in the morning without any prior information to get of it. We were not knowing about the place also. I asked for refund of the excess amount for our travel from Marthandam to Trivandrum and he talked in anger to us and asked "Why I took reservation ticket"? and he told i will not get any refund for the ticket and if i have any complaint go and give complaint. The driver was also asking us to get out of the bus. As i was with my family with two children, i was not having time to argue with him or to shout at him. we get down from the bus and we were not sure about the place also. From a stranger there we came to know that it is not Marthandam but kaliyikavila.

      I don't want to explain regarding the rest that how i reached trivandrum but if you people would have informed before, we would have arranged something or person to take us from there to home without any delay.

      Please do the needful and advise me how i can get the refund amount of the charge taken from Marthandam/kaliyikavila to Trivandrum?

      Please let me also know that should i contact any other person for this refund amount?

          Hello sir,
          I traveled from hosur to bangalore electronic city on 18th dec 2017 at 8 am. Usually conductor will charge rs.35/- from hosur bus-stand to electronic city even if it is fly-over service. But this conductor is collecting rs.55/- for all. We asked the reason but he said this is fly-over service and he is behaving in irrespective manner with all passengers if we questioning him. He threatened one passenger and ask him to get down in the mid of travel on fly over bridge. How can he do like that for questioning him? Also this conductor is not giving signal to stop the bus in stopping (Even in main stopping also).

          He is shouting on all passengers to give extra amount. This is one of the worst behavior i have ever seen. I am lodging a complaint against this conductor for his worst behavior and collecting more amount from passenger against government rules. He not even wearing his name batch properly. Kindly take action against him.

            Sir,

            I reserved ticket in SETC bus boarding from Tambaram to Tirunelveli (Route 180UD) on[protected] evening departure time 8:45 PM from Koyembedu bus stand. During that subject date, We arrived to Tambaram SETC bus stop at 8.00 pm the bus mentioning with this route did not arrive to Tambaram bus stand till 10:45 pm. When I asked time checker in SETC Counter, he was was not able to provide correct information. He was not aware whether the bus started from Koyembedu or not or arriving or not. At last he told me and my family members to go to Perungalathur after 11:00 pm in midnight to know the details. We had no other option rather to go Perungalathur to check the details. When we went, there were 3 officials in Perungalathur SETC counter who were arguing with passengers with the same issue. When I asked in the counter, one of these officials checked the record and said bus in that route did not arrive Perungalathur. But he did not have proper answer whether bus will come or not. Another official (traffic inspector) checked the record and said one bus in 180 series came and went off. He blamed us that we missed the bus. But it was not our fault at all. The bus we reserved/booked was 180UD which did not come to Tambaram or Perungalathur. The other officials said to him that ultra deluxe bus did not arrive in that route no. They gossiped among themselves for some time & the Traffic inspector rudely said you can complain to anyone and he will not care about that. At last we were roughly told to board a SETC bus which was going to Madurai and take a break journey from there to Tirunelveli. The traffic inspector scribbled in my ticket some words which was unreadable and told us to occupy seat behind driver seat which was atrocious. Since it was already late at 11:45pm in midnight we had no other option rather to occupy that seat and travelled the whole night without sleep. It was raining during that time and due to improper maintainence of SETC bus, the roof top of bus was leaking with rainwater which was very uncomfortable to all o[censored]s including driver. We had a terrible night which was unforgettable. The next day we reached Madurai at 9.00 am but did not find SETC bus to go Tirunelveli. So we paid once again Rs. 210 in Tirunelveli Bye Passrider to go to Tirunelveli. I enquired for refund amount in SETC counter in Tirunelveli New Bustand where the official said I need to approach Vannarapetti Depot to claim the amount but will not get the amount at once and will take more time for refund process. I came back home with disappointment and frustration. The way the traffic inspector and the officials in perungalathur behaved with the public is really unbearable and it made me to draft this detailed message to your end. Please check and advise whom to contact exactly to get the refund amount in chennai. I had a very good opinion on SETC earlier but their attitude & behaviour of SETC officials in Perungalathur this time really made me to think about choosing other alternatives for travelling in future. Really disappointed.

            Could you Please assist in getting refund amount of Rs. 210/- since we didn't travel in the bus which we reserved. We travelled by paying this extra amount from Madurai to Tirunelveli (through Bye Pass rider) since SETC (Route 180UD) was not available on[protected].

            Setc not providing online ticket booking from vedasandur, Dindigul.
            So the offline brokers miss using the the rules...They increase the booking charge and providing tickets to this favor persons..So I kindly request you to take action against them and convert that Depot into online booking

              As per the govt SETC policy
              "If the passenger is traveling with 'e-Ticket / Mobile Ticket', he will have to produce the Original Identity Card mentioned in the 'e-Ticket / Mobile Ticket ' at the time of journey."

              But the driver & Conductor of the bus are quarrelling that they need print out else they cant allow the passengers.

              Added to that driver have Used many abusive words in public and saying they are the government and whatever they say is should be.

              please take necessary action on the driver who is very much cheap in behaving without knowing how to speak with passengers in pblic being a part of government employee.

                Hi, I travelled from Salem to Bangalore on 24th aug 2015 through SETC. This was one of the worst travels I have evere experienced. The vehicle is not worth to travel for the ticket fare. The vehicle is in very poor condition. Even a town bus used to serve rural areas is far better than this vehicle. I am sure that this is not a spare bus as this vehicle takes it routine trip between salem and bangalore. Today even I had no chances left other than to take this worst vehicle by paying 250 rupees for the ticket. Inspite of the harder journey till Hosur, we were informed that the vehicle is facing a break down and we were shifted to an ordiniary TNSTC bus from Hosur to Bangalore and by the time its already 5 hours since we started from salem. The total fare in TNSTC between salem and Bangalore is 160 to 180. But we pay 250 rupees for a comfortable journey which we have never experienced. The conductor also denied to refund the ticket fare between Hosur and Bangalore. The SETC fare between Hosur and Salem is just 120 and were forced to pay 250! What kind of justice the corporation provide to its fellow customers. We need a comfortable journey worth the ticket fare we pay. To all the passengers what the SETC corporation earned through us today is Black Money! Vehicle Number :TN 29 N 2081

The customer support number is useless, because they do not have details about the bus. they asked us to write a letter to for more details. my 400 rupees is gone.                     I have booked a ticket on 4th early morning 02:05 in SETC from kumbakonam to chennai.And the seat number is 39. The other seats 28 and 38 were also reserved and those passengers were also waiting. But the bus did not even come to the bus stand and outside the bus stand itself, and our seats were allotted to the family members of the transport people. I was waiting from 10pm on 3rd night but no bus and no proper response from the transport guys. I did not sleep for more than 7 hrs and no food as well. I could not report to office on time So loss of pay for one day. The person in the reservation counter does not even know how to treat female passenger who came alone. He spoke very roudely. Due to this tremendous stress, mental pressure, no sleep and no food for me for more than 7 hrs. Transport department has to answer for me.

                      Hi, My name is Mano. I was travelling from Madurai to Chennai in an Ultra Deluxe Bus (Bus code: B231) on 3rd March 2015 under reservation. The bus was unfit for travelling. The Bus Driver identified the problem with Clutch when coming out of Madurai Mattuthavani bus stand itself. But the Driver and Conductor decided to run the bus till Trichy without intimating it to passengers and higher officials. The bus fall break down near Valanadu (about 90 kms away from Madurai and 50 kms before Trichy) at night 12.30. The Conductor is totally irresponsible and he doesn't have any Contact number of the officials. The emergency contact number provided in the highway notice board was swtiched off. Finally we got a spare bus from Madurai Depot by 3.30 AM after discussing with Depot officials. But that spare bus was already boarded by 5 passengers. The spare bus driver told that he need money to pay in Toll booth and hence he boarded 5 passengers in the Spare bus. There was a big fight between the bus conductors, drivers and passengers. Finally, we came for an agreement and started the bus by 4 AM. But the spare bus front tyre got punctured in another 25 kms (25 kms before Trichy). The bus doesn't carry a jockey for repairing. It took around 2 hours again to fit the stepney tyre with the help of a Lorry Driver. Finally we reached Trichy by 6 AM. This is really a poor management system and SETC is not arranging things for the money paid by passengers. Most of the buses are unfit

                          This bald person showed in the photo above is a culprit, uneducated fellow who sits in SETC OFFICE KOYAMBEDU CHENNAI don't know how to treat passengers. This was happened on past SATURDAY, a 52 yr old handicapped women booked a ticket from Chennai to Nagercoil the bus was at 3.20 pm, she came at 3.15 pm and found the bus was gone.A conductor of another bus asked her to take their bus with that ticket.Later she was asked to get sealed in the ticket by the person in the SETC office. When she approached the office the person above shown argued that the mistake is in your side you came here at 3.40 pm to inform, so i wont seal.She said she came at 3.15 pm and then a conductor gave a seat in their bus and lately only he inform her to get seal in that ticket.For tat the bald man asked her to go back and bring tat conductor who asked to get sign, she go back with the handicapped leg and brings the conductor, again the bald man argues and he threatened her do whatever you want i wont put seal you and he shouted without respect, many drivers and conductors were standing there and they supported her but he haven't sealed the ticket.She finally took the bus by paying for new ticket. This culprit made a handicapped 52 yr old women to walk here and there without any mercy, shouted without respect in public make her very disrespectful.Putting uneducated mercy-less brainless people in the SETC OFFICE KOYAMBEDU CHENNAI by the government thinks us to choose private services better than this.

                            I have booked bus ticket from tiruppur to chennai on 26/05/2014. My trip was cancelled by transport office of tiruppur due to shortage of passengers. I got reply that the amount will be refunded within one month but still he didn't receive refunded amount in my account. Also i didn't get any proper information about that refunded amount.                             I booked tickets from Madurai to Chennai on the date of 14.07.2014(monday).They charged the amount of 454 from my debit card and i didn't received the tickets.After i claimed with the toll number that was given by the SETC department and they said that the amount will be refunded within one week. But still now there is no proper response for the money please help me ...
