[Resolved]  Airtel — fraud call from dubai

one of my friend got such a call and he asked me if I could somehow verify the whole thing. The 1st thing I found was that it was Pakistan's ISD code and then I stumbled onto this site and knew the whole thing.

Airtel — dump message

i am receiving so many dump messages from TM-ABMONEY/ TA-ABMONEY since couple of day. Every day i get about 10m messages in the morning through afternoon. Senders numbers is not given, except 56161 to send sms. Plz help me....

Hi, I have just recived a miss call from the number [protected] but I have not call backed. When I checked the country code of 92, I came to know that it is from Pakistan. I am reading lots of things about getting these types of FRAUD calls from various countries wherein caller will try to convince you about any baseless thing and will cheat you. Pleaes be aware about these calls and don't fall in these types of wrong claims. I am also going to call Airtel customer care for this and will ask them to block this at my number. Thanks.

Today is 06 April 2010.

I got a missed call at 12:58 PM from [protected], I called back, he started talking about the same story mentioned in above thread...Be aware, the racket gets activated again.

hey, i’m also getting similar calls..but the number being displayed on screen is random.. i’mean there is no country code before it.

i used to receive calls first, but no one spoke from other side.& there was some background noise (other people were talking & some noise)
this happened lot of times from 3-4 months & still going on, i'm tired of this as i get calls on my working time.
i spoke with airtel customer executive, but they told that they did not record any incoming phone call on my cell number.that means it could be through voip
heh airtel pls do something...as ur 121 service executives are unable to tell anything

This is really bad on Airtel that so many people are being fooled & still Airtel is not taking action. I think its time to stop using Airtel.

I have taken immediate action informing it in the police head quarters
cyber crime division
there are no hassles
so i encourage you all to do the same
so that the number remain as record with the police for future
and you are safe as you have no connection!

Today I got the same call from Dubai stating that I have won Rs 25 Lakhs lotary.Then he gave me one other no. and said that do call on this no. and u will get all the information. I just called on this no. and he told me to give him the account no or address of mine.

But I checked in the internet and I came to know this truth. Thank God !

Please be careful of these fraud calls.

Today I get call from[protected] and told me I won lottery of 10 lakhs. And then he gives me another number [protected] to get more information.

I got a call from +[protected] claiming my airtel number had won a lottery for 25 lacs, and to contact a Mr. Raj Singhani at [protected] to get the money. I didn't call, because it seemed like a scam, considering i could here a drunk guy talking in the background. I asked my parents and friends and learnt that they had received similar calls.

PLEASE EVERYONE BE CAREFUL. DO NOT BELIEVE TO ANY MESSAGE THAT COMES TO YOUR MOBILE BEFORE CALLING UP THE AIRTEL CALL CENTER AND CONFIRMING IT WITH ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES. THIS WILL HELP PREVENT ANY FUTURE SCAMS AS WELL.

Airtel — Someone tried to trace my number

hi..i am sutheerkadharsini using airtel prepaid no: [protected]...which is in my brother name...i thought someone tries to trace my call and msg logs...so please let me inform if anyone tried to trace my logs or anyone would contact the service center regarding this...bcoz i want to protect my details...

I got a missed call from [protected] today, but I was not able to receive that, after some time I have call back on that number, and next side one person talking me (in my opinion he should be south indian because his hindi was very slang) anyway, he told me I have won 25 lakhs lottery on my Airtel number, please for claim this prize you should contact with my Mr Sanjay Verma and this number is 092... STOP

By the grace of god my phone balance was very low, so the call disconnect after when I came through the Internet then I got several complaints against this issue on this website.

Thanks to all of you dear Airtel Subscriber, for save me. Please Airtel company should take HARD ACTION against his problem.
