[Resolved]  Airtel — Sim Card Registration Failed

My Airtel prepaid mobile [protected] service stopped working from past 8 days due to the error Simcard registration failed. Tried using a different phone but never worked. I tried contacting Airtel customer care many times and none bothered to look in to this matter.

I had already sent many emails to the Airtel Appellate authorities and a lady named SHILPA S replied saying that my alternate number is not reachable. When I replied to her email saying "Stop lying" and start resolving the problem. She then sent an email requesting for all non relevant questions like, hows the voice clarity, how many towers are displayes, what does the cell info display status shows and so on. Finally she asked me for the SIM number which I sent through an email. I have never got an update and my phone is dead for more than 10 days now. This is not acceptable since this is the main number my family and relatives use to contact. I have also raised a complaint through Airtel www.airtel.in/airtelpresence and no response till date.

Since it is too late I want some higher authorities from Airtel to look in to this and do the needful ASAP. I want Airtel to compensate for the loss that they have made to me and should pay for the difficulties I had to gone through because of their poor service.

AirTel — Airtel Sim Registration failed message

Dear Sir,

I have a Airtel prepaid ([protected]) connection since August 2008. I am getting regularly the Sim Registration failed message since 1 months.
Regarding this problem I have contact to Customer care exeutive and the advise to take Duplicate sim card from Airtel Centre. So I have contact to the NEHRU PLACE, NEW DELHI-19 AIrtel Centre but the executive told he don't have this mob. no ([protected]) duplicate sim.

How long time will take to replace with duplicate sim card.
Please help for the same.

AIRTEL Kolkata Lifetime Plan 999 activated in january 2006 — SIM card registration failure

to maintain lifetime validity any one of these following is required
1.at least one recharge in every six months.
2. atleast one incoming in every six months
3.atleast one outgoing in every six months.


I opted for option 3 in last 4 month ago. but my sim has been deactivated and my number [protected] has been alloted to another person.

please solve my problem
I'm working on board tanker vessel with coastal route here in india.i bought an airtel simcard in one of the business boat roaming in our ship in vishakapatnam (vizag). after 24 hrs (less maybe), I can't make a call and send SMS. It says, it is barred please contact your operator. there is still load remaining in that sim. I tried several times to talk to the customer service representative as well as with their supervisor but they can't make appropriate actions with my problem. they advice me to register the sim card and submit the form. the problem is i can't go on shore to transact personally since we are always at sea. I'll try to find the link here in internet to fill up the registration form but i can't find it.

AirTel — Sim card registration failed

Hi,
I bought a airtel sim two and a half month back....
i was travelling abroad for last two months so couldn't use that sim.
As far as i remember it had lifetime validity but now it shows sim card registration failed...
please let me know how can i activate it again.

I purchased a new airtel simcard in Sikka,India. After a day o[censored]sing it, the call and text messaging is barred. There is a message says, "SIMCARD REGISTRATION FAILED" please contact customer service. There is still enough balance remaining in the simcard.The message required me to fill up an application form but I cant go ashore to make it. I'm working in one of the tanker ship with coastal route here in India. There is no chance for me to go out of the ship.

It is highly appreciated if the responsible authority can assist me and help me to activate my simcard.

My no. is [protected] which i hav ben using frm last 8 yrs i went 2 canada in august n came back in nov bt my no. wasnt working anymore so i went 2 local airtel office on nov 15 who asked me 2 fill up form n submit my ids n pay Rs 150 for duplicate sim which i did immediately bt den dey didnt start my service in d said time den i cald upon d nodal office n den appellate department bt rather den solving my problem dey were giving me technical excuses n asked me 2 buy a new no.i hav been calling dem 4 ovr a month n dey hav nvr responded me back(not even a single cal or reply 2 my email)
i hav been travelling overseas a lot n dat is d only contact no i hav provided 2 all my contacts n links,my lawyer n even in d foreign embassies n i can afford 2 loose dat no.i always maintained dat d companies in india work in a professional manner bt m dejected 2 find out dat rt frm d local airtel office 2 d appellate department most of d personnel r unprofessional n dnt even know d basic language 2 b used in customer service.

I letf İndia on 15TH Dec 2010. My airtel prepaid sim got activated for internatnl roaming automatically. It was working fine for 15 days. Meanwhıle ı purchased turkey sim card and registered my mobile IMEA number with them. Both sım cards were acceptable for 2 days. Suddenly on 3rd day my Airtel sim started giving SIM CARD REGİSTRATİON FAILED message. I dıd experiment by placing ıt with other phones, but the problem still persisted. Pls help me out.

This is Indranil Sarkar.My Airtel Prepaid Mobile no. is [protected].My service provider sent me some messages to submit my id proof.I have done that twice.But suddenly my sim card registration is faild.When I have contacted to the Airtel outlet they have informed me that the no is deleted and it is not possibe to restore the no.

I went to the local AIRTEL office at New Alipur,Kolkata; but the Airtel shop dealer didnt respond to it. Further They were also not providing us a proper or a true cause for it.. Also, I am ready to submit my Photo, ID Proof, and all the necessary documents that are required to Reactivate my AIRTEL SIM , but they didnt respond to this also.
I request you to please look after this matter,and reactivate my mobile service provider(Airtel).

I am Shikha, my phone no. is [protected]. Alarm & alert pack activated on my phone no. on 25/01/2011 but i did not receive any cal or msg regarding this pack. i cal to customer care but she disconnect my phone. I want refund regarding this alarm & alert pack.
