[Resolved]  BSNL Broadband — too slow speed

The service is the worst of all, and will continue to provide such unpleasant broadband package for the next decade . lets us hope that we make ourself wealthier enough to go for private broadband as soon as possible.

Broadband - Home 500 — Slow Broadband speed

I am using Home500 BSNL broadband service from BSNL kalyan.

Past One Month it is observed that the internet speed is very very slow. Sometimes even it displays Pages cannot be displayed check your connection. Interesting part is ADSL link is perfect with zero error.
Complaints are raised almost 5 - 6 to the local exchange, but they have common answer..saying you check you computer for virus..format your harddrive ...
Request you to check the Internet facilities .. instead of losing customers..
On 16th January, 2010 is visited my local exchange and to my suprise i saw almost 8 -10 complaints relating to the internet speed.
Please check your systems...we are facing losses in the market because of these slow speed.

Even i have The 700 per month, 256 Kbps plan. The download speed is 30 Kbps at the max and most of the times it doesn't even work properly.. Horrible service sad to say and ofcourse they never regard our complaints... It's completely fine if the speed is even as low as 1 Bps but they shouldn't lie to us and mention it as 256 Kbps... That's against the acts in COPRA... they aren't giving us the right information

BSNL — speed is toow slow

the bsnl gives evdo(wll internet) by saying the speed will be 2.4 Mbps but the truth is that it doesn't do so at my home speed reaches to only 80 to 150 kbps bandwidth by which internet connection is too slow by download manager it download at 25kbps approx speed
and i am living at core of bhilai so speed must be higher at the speed of 200kbps on download with download manager for this bandwidth must be above 600kbps

My BSNL landline number is[protected].I am using BSNL broadband for past 3 years.I changed my plan from Home 250 to Home 500C.But it is clearly mentioned in the plan that we will be getting bandwidth between 256kbps to 2Mbps.But my speed never goes above 220kbps.I have complained many time in my Barabazar Exchange but no action have been taken yet.Its a serious matter.
Hoping that you will look over this serious problem.

BSNL landline with broadband — Very slow work

BSNL made a big fanfare in giving new connection with broadband, but sad to say even after 2 weeks my broadband is not ready, I paid the signing amount on 10/2/2010 and after repeated call to customer care someone came and placed a phone after 8 days, then again after complaints they gave a landline number then again after calling one more worker just came and put one modenm for broadband on 23/2/2010 and said another staff will come to give the broadband. Why does BSNL work in bits and pieces.

BSNL Broadband — Not getting expected speed

I am using BSNL broadband from last 1 month but i also used it before for 1 year. BSNL said that you will get 256 kbps speed for downloading/uploading but i never get speed more than 30 kbps.

BSNL here is a bull ......i have 750 unlimited256 kb/s connection and my average download speed is 17 kb and sometimes it goes beyond 3 kbs...it's ...

all the ppl above are ... first of all its 256 kbps.. not KBps... and when u convert kb into KB.. the speed is just right.. u shud be getting only 32 KBps max, tats with the unlimited plan..


Other plans can achieve 200 to 300 fine... bt there r few ppl who r not gettin even tat much.. so all the whiners quit whinin.. and do something productive with their life.

BSNL — against immensely slow speed of broadband

I am a broadband user ,my Landline number is[protected] in the name of Rakesh Arora resident at 10 ,kamla vihar, veer savarkar nagar ,Bareilly . I have been using the broad band service since last four months but I am very sorry to say that the surfing and the downloading speed provided by your department is very pathetic . I have approached to local BSNL office many times but no action has been taken yet .Every time they say that your complaint have been noticed and solution to this will be provided within 24 hrs but it never happens. It is very shameful on the part of the organisation like BSNL because this kind of service is not expected from your side .
So I Kindly request you to take some strict action so that the the customer like us should not face the problem like this .

too slow, not working properly

I have been using BSNL from Oct 2008. I enjoyed BSNL with good downloads earlier.

I took up 250 home[1.0GB, 256Kbps] plan, later shifted to 500 combo home Plan[2.5GB, 256Kbps], currently I am in 625 unlimited Home Combo Plan[unlimited, 256Kbps] from May 20, 2010.

In 500 combo home Plan[2.5GB, 256Kbps] I enjoyed downloads of 250Kbps till March 2010 later it started giving me 20Kbps for downloads.

I changed from my earlier plan to current plan to have a good speed but it really sucks when I download with speeds of 10~12Kbps for couple of downloads but with more than 3 parallel downloads it sometimes into bytes as well.

I really preferred BSNL over all other Internet service providers but now I am looking for someone who gives the promised speed.

I have seen that what ever speed test you do you will be getting 1/8 th of that speed for download or upload.

Example if speed test shows that you can Download @ 250Kbps and Upload @ 210Kbps then acutally it indicated that you can Download @ 31.25Kbps and Upload @ 26.25Kbps

BSNL customer care is the worst which I agree.

BSNL needs to seriously care for its customers if it has to be the largest backbone.

BSNL — slow speed of broadband internet

The speed of broadband internet facility provided by BSNL is too slow and result in hanging situation while surfing or doing some important work.

some problem is occur !!!

since i have taken broadband connection, , my server doesn't work all the time.. its there only for 10 minutes.


Downloading speed has being decreased...by 256 kbps to 16 kbps ..
i can't download anything...

I have think to buy IDEA broadband it cost 600 /month but as-usual i think BSNL is India's good broadband so i have taken this plane...

I have take unlimited plane ----- cost 750 / month..

As the BSNL user have accepted BSNL broadband its your opportunity to provide them good networking..

BSNL Broadband — bad network

My phone number is[protected] i had taken bsnl broadband connection. but this is giving me a lot of problems due to bad signal. while working the network goes off n then i have to refresh n wait for few minutes. but the same happens after every 5 to 7 min.
so please pay your attention to my this serious problem.

BSNL Broadband — speed of downloads

I have BSNL broadband plan 750, which offers a speed of 512kbps and its monthly unlimited plan. For the past several months i am facing a lot of difficulty in surfing, downloading and uploading.This matter is reported to the authorities viz; consumer complaint cell,JE, and SDO several no of times.But till date there is no change in the situation.Against the offered speed of 512kbps I am hardly getting 3 or 4 kbps and sometimes it reduces to just a couple of bytes per second.Kindly help.
