I purchased a microwave oven yesterday from Croma Bangalore vide Bill No[protected].They promised to deliver the same by 6PM today evening.I have spent around 30rs calling them on again and again they say they require 4 days to deliver the same.On the bill its quoted that the microwave will be delivered today.So frustrating they harass the customers like this.

Now they are asking me to come and collect the Microwave oven from their store.

Today was the first day I went to Croma in Krome, Sopan Baug, Pune. Needless to say the experience was horrendous and a complete waste of time - in true TATA style.

I called last night, before arriving at the store...I had seen a Yamaha RXV 459 at the Delhi store during my visit there, and enquired about its availability in Pune(since I live in Pune). The Store checked up the stock and told me I could visit at Pune and pick up the piece. Last night when I called a lady(Ashwini) informed me that the piece was indeed available and would be handed to me at a list price of INR 7990/-. I booked it in my name and told them I would pick it up personally in the afternoon.

I made it all the way to the store only to be harrassed by the store employees - someone named Mahesh Kapanchi(or something like that), and the store supervisor Imran.

First they told me there was NOTHING like RXV 459 available. Then they took almost 10 minutes checking their console for the availability when the piece was lying right in front of them!!
When I told them my friends in Delhi had bought the piece at Croma, and had recommended I pick it up for myself as well, these gentlemen conjured up a combination of the RXV and added a lot of junk speakers(I dont remember which brand) and offered me a 'package' worth INR 30, 000, when the RXV was just INR 7990!! i told them I only bought Yamaha speakers and I already had them, so won't be interested in the 'package' - to which Imran told me that they would not be looking to sell the RXV singly, unless I bought the other add-ons...incidentally the add-ons are not even part of the box pack - its just something that the Croma people are trying to palm off to you to increase their flagging sales.
These gents even went to the extent of telling me that if Croma Delhi was offering the piece singly - I was most welcome to go there and pick it up!!!
On visiting the Croma website one is treated to the CEO's message which says:

Quite an example, i must say, that the store boys are bringing the CEO's message alive in truest form. Anyway I went to a couple of blogs and found that this kind of treatment is meted out with utmost regularity to many customers across the country with breathtaking consistency.

I am copying this mail to some Tata senior execs in the hope that this catches light. I am also copying it to NDTV. I hope this incident catches light and Tata management shapes up this slum-hole before their pathetic customer service drives them to bankruptcy, just like some other Big Corporate houses I know about :)

RE: ASUS PDA P527 Purchased on 25th March 2008 from CROMA, Pune - Solapur Road, Hadpsar

Just after our purchase of the captioned ASUS PDA, CROMA found the instrument defective, sent it for repair, which could not be repaired. We had got the ASUS PDA instrument exchanged from CROMA on 10th May 2008 after my interaction with the top officials of ASUS. Since then the instrument was working with intermittent disorder and sometimes there were difficulties in certain services. Inspite of getting a replacement instrument from CROMA once again we found the instrument unusable as there was frequent battery charging problem and the instrument was not getting “switched-on” because of some defects. Everytime I complain CROMA people do something and tell that the instrument had minor hitches only.

When I was at Singapore, the instrument failed to boot. I was then to go to DOHA. So I asked our electrical engineer to deal with CROMA?ASUS. He visited M/s. CROMA, Aundh and after their preliminary check up and as advised by Mr. Arihant Jain of M/s. CROMA to visit M/s. Accel Frontline Limited, Shivajinagar, Pune for the service support, he deposited the PDA instrument with M/s. Accel under the Service Call reference No. PUN-AS-00505/2008 dt.21.01.2009.

Although we have deposited the PDA with M/s. Accel, we did not get any definite date for rectification. We are having the apprehension that the same thing would be repeated as it happened earlier and there will be delay in getting our instrument duly serviced. We got the information from M/s. Accel that there would either be problem with board or software. Ultimately to day on specific visit by our Engineer, they told, the instrument is bad and you try to get a replacement from CROMA. On our Engineer visiting them, he was offered a SONY ordinary mobile without internet or any other utilities for which we had purchased this ASUS instrument. They audaciously advised our Engineer Mr Veer to accept this or wait patiently for at least a montgh for the instrument to be repaired.

We therefore request you to kindly look into the matter and arrange to service the PDA instrument on urgent basis so that we will get the PDA duly serviced by tomorrow.

Please note that we have one year base and 2 year extended warranty. The Bill No. of M/s. Croma is 38626 dated 10/05/2008. And the PDA details are as under:

ASUS PDA P527, SSN : 83A0AS008906, IMEI : [protected].

Trust you will not compel us to go to the edges when I am freed from my present rush of events due to SEBI board meetings at Mumbai and IRDA Board meeting at Hyderabad. I await your promptness before I am put to take any further action as warranted due to your continued apathy to a harassed customer. Take notice.
One more thing that I noticed about Croma, is the price tag..!!!
These people quote that they have the best price available where as the same product is available at much cheaper rate in other shops. An example here, I purchased Altec Lansing VS3251 5.1 speakers for my PC for Rs. 3950/- at a regular electronics and computer accessories shop and the same model is available at Croma for Rs. 4499/-.Although the shop i purchased from does not buy directly from the manufactuter or their direct stockist, but still a huge difference in price, where Croma might be purchasing it from the stockist itself. Other example is a mobile - HTC P3400i handset that I bought for 9250 in a regular mobile shop 6 moths before and even today the same piece is available in Croma for Rs. 9799/- . Do these people really deserve customers visiting them and buying goods at higher prices only because they have huge showrooms or a brand name behind them?
i m not agree with complent because my experience with croma are very good .
I have bought a Sony Ericsson Mobile J10i2 on 29 feb 2012.The salesman involved has missselled the product to me and hasn't provided me with all
the accessories.He had provided me a nokia data cable charger along with small cable inspite of me telling him that I want an original one.He even
tried to persuade me to get some discount and adjust.Also I have visited the store around 4 times and have tried to meet the floor manager but
somebdy made a fool out of me and made me met somebody who was'nt the store manager at all.It has been a month and still nothing has been done.

I have lodged two complaint but still I don't get any solution.

I want to state that this is company store where only customer care agent don't have contact details of any higher authority to lodge a complaint, there is no written confirmation along with that customer care don't provide any sort of help.
Its one of the bad location to buy any product please help me out if any person can.
And in future don't buy any product from TATA chroma, saket .

IT'S VERY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH CROMA SERVICE.


I have booked 32 inch LED on 25 MARCH and same got deliver on 27 march.

Since then it is lying with us and no one has contacted for instillation till now 30 march .

When i contacted Toshiba call Center they said that i have booked LCD and not LED and LCD has been delivered to your place.

Then i called Croma they said it's LED and installation person will call you.

On 29 March i made several call to Toshiba and Croma and at 2 pm Croma supervisor said that installation will happen today and from Toshiba service center person will contact me.

The story is not end here ...

Kahani me TWIST

I got call from Toshiba Thane where in i stay at MIRAROAD. again wrong information passed though Croma to toshiba people...

Toshiba guy said he is closing the call as we are not located in their area, which is correct.

Again i Called up Croma and one girl said that now it's already 3 pm and person will come only on Saturday, which was not possible for me as i am working and can't get leave for my tv installation...

I insist her to give the call to floor supervisor and one guy came on line he said today before 8 pm person will come and... same story :(

I REMEMBER ALL THE EXECUTIVES NAME BUT DON"T WANT TO TAKE THEIR NAME ON MAIL AS I KNOW IT'S NOT THEIR MISTAKE ... 1 PERSON HAS DONE SOMETHING WRONG THEN WHY ALL SHOULD ALL SUFFER.

Yesterday i was waiting whole day for Installation but neither i received call nor the person came.

Again since morning i am following up with the Croma's same Supervisor and he said i will get every thing done today itself...

Let's hope for the best...

    I had recently purchased DVD player 3268. As per the specification in the phillips dvd manual it had indicated that dvd remote should be with the cell batteries. To my surprise the cell batteries were not given.

    Further the kind of services provided at croma stores are sub-standard. I want to write to concerned person handling the croma admin. The product which was given to me was not as the specifications. I have lodged a complaint but I am not sure considering the admin setup whether this would be attended appropriately. Just to share my complaint number is 119/211208/dvd & vcd player 2513.

    Can anyone provide the email ID of the head of croma sales.

    Sorry to say Our mind dosenot alow us tosay but some how we have to say " this the fact"
    ..as a matter of fact I discovered something new... it appears the products that are being sold from Croma are sub-standard...

    It was a great idea to have a glittering mega store in your neighborhood and we had it in Rohini Delhi.

    I bought a Sony Viao last October it is in the service center now, I bought an LG DVD player from Croma last year - again a sub-standard piece, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not... with a usb feature present, it reads USB pen drive on its own wish.

    I bought logitech laptop speakers they have already visited the service center after 2 months o[censored]se...

    I bought a Sony Camera in feb this year, I hope whatever problem it has to give it should do before warranty lapses... presently working fine...

      Hello Sir,
      I am a Lecturer in the Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering, Visnagar.I have purchased a Laptop(Model NO:415227q, Core 2 Duo Processor.) from Crome at Iscon, Ahmedabad at the time of Diwali.At that time the offer is there in Croma that if you are purchasing a Lenovo Laptop from Croma "Digital Camera & small Crockery Set" is free with the Laptop as a part of the Diwali Offer.i have paid Rs. 38999 for the Lenovo Laptop.They have sticked the Rs. 38999 price of the Lenovo laptopi have mentied in the showroom. They have packed the Laptop & two gifts in the carry bag, I have checked the bill of Rs. 38999 and come back to home. After coming to home i have seen that the MRP price of the Laptop written on the box of my Laptop is Rs. 37800. So i have called them & asked about the difference between the price i have paid(Rs. 38999) and the MRP price written on the Laptop Box(Rs. 37800).They have told me that extra Rs. is taken for the carrybag given with the Laptop.So i found satisfied. After some days i have seen on the Laptop Box, it is that "Accessories include Carrybag", means carrybag is coming within that MRP price written on the box(Rs. 37800).Again i have called them & told that carrybag is free with Laptop so why you have taken Rs.1199 more from me.At this time they have told me that that extra Rs. are of that Gift(Digital Camera).At the time of purchasing the Laptop they have told me that Digital Camera is totally free with Laptop.After purchasing Laptop they are telling that the price more they have taken is of Digital Camera.I don't want the Didital Camera.But they have told me that it is free with Laptop as a part of Diwali Offer at the time pf purchasing, So i have taken it.

      So i thing Croma is making the People fool by solding their items like "Digital Camera" along with their Laptops & taking more money from customers by giving the name of "Diwali Offer".

      So take appropriate actions.

        sir my self mazhar khan .I have visited to your malad croma and i am so unhappy about that .so thats why i want to complain about your manager . I think he is Adm at malad store he dont have maner to talk .
        How to talk with customer .When i have call him he is ignoring me .He is busy in talking with the girl .At last he has come but he dont know the knowledge about that product . And i want to say one more thing why
        you are making the manager who dont know the product knowledge . That guy name is permeshvar who is Adm in malad croma .He dont have any knowledge of product .i dont know why your are making the manager that person permeshvar.i am requesting you that you have to take some action about that permeshvar .And i have seen that he is giving bad on the floor to the staff also .What is that you are giving this type of service.

        Yes I too have experienced the same at bangalore it was a Sales guy who had no clue about the product I enquired about and he was helpless when I threw him some product triva - I would not blame him for the lack of knowledge - I only guess that they do not have an effective training set up for the chaps. The above issue is more towards discipline or as you said maners

        mujtabam, there's no point quibbling about manners. Sometimes, not having proper communication skills can prove to be a real problem. Mr. Khan obviously had that. There are also socio-religious regions here that I don't want to go into.

        Oh, and posting a message on some obscure forum doesn't really contribute to "the cause"...whatever that is. If the on top had any sense, he'd have submitted a written complaint to the stores manager. If you go high enough you'll always find someone who's willing to listen to you. Creating a scene in the real world gets a lot more attention than putting up a badly-worded complaint in the virtual complaint - which is more of a means of assuaging his bruised ego. Remember what they say about the squeaky wheel?

        It's a fact that customer service is something that is only slightly more than a passing concern here in India - the reason is that consumers don't have legal recourse, for one. For another, nobody has the time or inclination to fight for it. Mujtabam, you want to support your brother in the cause? The next time you're in the Bangalore store, fill out one of their feedback forms. Or better yet, talk to the store manager and make a scene. If you really want some action to be taken, write to the regional personnel manager in charge of training.

        Until then, keep your fat mouth shut if you think your stupid post is going to support any "cause". You guys are nothing but a bunch of small cocked weenies with miniscule balls. Speak up for yourself, instead of whining about it over the Internet. .

          Dear Sir/ Ma’am,



          Following are the details of the purchases made by me –

          Invoice nos - 000388 and 000389
          Purchase date - 14th Oct 2008
          Store – Croma, Juhu


          What did I buy?

          1 LG LCD
          Lexus Geysers
          Racold Geysers
          1 LG Microwave
          1 Aqua sure water purifier
          1 Haier Refrigerator


          Problem -



          Every product has a problem



          1. LG LCD –

          a. The TV remote does not work.

          b. The LG guys who came from installation say that Croma has to give you a new remote



          2. LG Microwave –

          a. The model booklet given was of some other model.

          b. The LG guys who came from installation say that Croma has to give you a the right model booklet and hence no demo is possible

          c. Result – The microwave is lying and is of practically no use



          3. Racold Geyser

          a. More than 15 days since we have purchased and Not yet delivered



          4. Lexus geyser

          a. Since one geyser is not yet delivered, we cannot call the technician to install this one or else we will have to pay twice for his visit

          b. Result – The geyser is lying and is of no use



          5. Aqua sure water purifier – the only thing installed and working (thankfully no problem)



          6. Haier Refrigerator –



          a. No one till date has come for installation

          b. The last water bottle bracket on the door falls off every time we place any bottle

          c. The light inside the fridge is restricted to the freezer and chiller only; does not fall on the whole body.

          d. We would have never ever bought this brand but thanks to your brand Croma which says “WE HELP YOU BUY” that we trusted and bought

          e. Please take it back!



          7. Free Gift –

          a. As a good gesture, since the purchase was of a decent amount, we were given a gift – which is yet to be deliverd.



          Customer Service at Croma, Juhu –



          Before purchase –

          I matched the prices and offers at Kohinoor/ Vijay Sales and Croma.

          Vijay Sales gave me better offers but I went ahead with Croma because it belonged to TATA. I unfortunately, trust this brand (or should I say TRUSTED?)



          During purchase –

          I must say that the store manager Ajay and his team were pretty forthcoming and helpful. Ajay personally assisted me to purchase the products and matched the offers to Vijay Sales. He and his team were of great help.



          Post purchase –

          After the problems mentioned above, I called up Ajay thrice but everytime he would say he would call me back and yet has not!

          On 22nd Oct –

          I called up the landline no of Croma Juhu and Tejaswini said that she has spoken to Amjad and one more senior person (don’t remember the name)

          She said that within next 2 working days, everything will be sorted

          On 29th Oct –

          I tried calling Amjad ([protected]) but he did not answer his calls. I had even left a msg with him stating but he has not called back either.



          And so now - Nothing has changed till date!



          RESULT -



          Your brand “TATA” – because of which I made purchases has left me feel disappointed.

          I feel cheated. My goods delivered are defective and some are not delivered!



          Please don’t force me to move to consumer court for this. It’s a simple and plain case of cheating. Am so proud of the brand TATA that this is not even one of the last things that I would have thought of! I have gone through trauma after hand picking things and following up so much. Feel let down badly!

            I have purchased SAMSUNG Fully automatic machine worth INR16340 on 23rd Oct and it was told to me that due to festival I be getting Phillips Steam Iron as gift instead of Discount.

            I have confirm many time to the staff at CROMA for steam iron, and they assured me its not a trvel iron. But they deliver Travel Iron with Samsung Machine next day...

            even after calling them many time they denied any commitment to it and said this is what you will get.

            I think Croma Pacific Mall, Ghaziabad is the WORST store to purchase any thing from there...Worst staff and malpractice to sell goods..

            I totally agree. they are unprofessional lot who just don't know about service. I bought Inverter from them. they popped after 3 days. they dumped the inverter at my home without any installation.

            I got crazy for a week and after having no choice requested electrician in our society to fix.

            never ever go to croma, pacific otherwise you will have nightmares. they are wasted lot and mockery in today's service oriented customers world.

            I AM FRUSTATED.
            I do agree with it. I had also purchased a microwave from there with a assurance of free gift of pack o[censored]tensils. But later on they provided me a few utensils which was not from the company. After lot of follow ups and after one month I received the same.
            According to me the staff sale their product with false commitment probably they are trained in that way or may be because of their incentives they make false commitment.
            I was thinking of going to Croma and buy a refrigerator and LCD. I have changed my mind now. I definitely don't wish to be deceived.
            croma is the worst retail shop I have seen.

            i have purchased a camera and they told me that points card would be delivered in 15 days. its already 20 days passed. inspite of repeated reminder they are not taking further step.

            i bought an ipod touch, the attendent told me if i had any problem i should bring the ipod to him
            and he'll get all the work done.almost after a week the head phones were not functioning properly .
            i went to the attendent and told him the problem and he simply said that he could do nothing about
            it. SO BUY THINGS FROM CROMA AT YOUR OWN RISK
            yes, even for me they never sent anyone for installation of LCD TV purchased on 31st dec 2009 till date...frustrating people...croma pacific..
            Thanks a lot for the comments on Croma. I was thinking to buy AC from Croma. Now I have changed my mind. I definitely don't wish to be deceived. I still wonder, is Croma a TATA company?
            I totally agree with the rest of the customers even I had very bad experience with the staff they r very badly behaved with the customers & there was a girl named Sapna Devi she is the worst staff I ever, met in a store like this...I m not happy & really tell u not to go this type of store where the sales staff is not good as like Tata chroma stores.
            On the occasion of Independence day, 2012, Croma outlet, Pacific mall offered free installation of window A/C on buying the TATA make.The ad. came in HINDU.So we both went there and the sales boy along with his boss both confirmed the same in front o[censored]s.We paid 27000/- thru ICICI card. and returned home with a gift box with some glass ware inside.Next day the A/C was delivered . The third day, Croma's technician came and installed the window A/C.Before the technicians came, I got a carpenter to fix a wooden frame in the A/C whole which Croma had told me that I have to do it on my own. Absolutely fine 'cause they cautioned me about this expense in advance. Now comes the nasty part of the project.The technicians, having installed the A/C asked me to pay the installation charge of Rs. 560/- Oh God, first we innocently argued with the johnnies, then roped in the main TATA office then the Croma O/L Lady who acted very very tough over phone. More than 45 mins of hot talks. Then I got drained out of energy so also the Lady of Croma.Then she made a proposal : pay 50:50. I asked her, is it not that if I pay 280/- then it is me who is lying? Finally had to pay that amount.That woman on Croma side even tried to corner me during the hot talk by demanding a written proof of free installation & also denied that they offered free installation.

            i have got screen issue in my croma mobile so they said that they will call me next day and now it has been 5 days neither they have call me nor they have repaired it when on 7 day i reached there store
            All the chroma stores are full of frauds. They take money by false promises such as next day delivery and then they don't even pick up calls after 2 or more days, they don't deliver stuffs until weeks. These people don't deserve to live.

              1. Only on opening day the excalator was working in shop. After that thats only for show.
              2. I bought washing machine last wednesday. Friday they deliverd. Demo will be shown only on tuesday it seems. Poor poor service. They gave the warranty card without seal.
              3. They displayed a electornic toy and that was not in fully working condition. But as music was coming from the toy, my sister's 2 yr old started crying that he needs that. But the other 2 pieces of the same toy also not functioning. But as he was crying I bought that for the MRP price. They didnt give me discount too. The full mistake is in them. How come they can keep a repaired toy for display in shop? That too in a newly opened store?

              * This is the worst ever service I am experiencing.
              * I bought a Samsung washing machine & a Videocon 29" CTV on Nov 08
              * I am experiencing a technical fault with my TV. Nobdy to attend
              * And also they goofed up by billing two different bills thus by evading the HSBC offer that was in Nov
              I had a Hard time with Store Manager "Puskar" today, Seems like he doesnt know how to treat or speak with croma customers at all, speaks very rude, specially when you buying items which cost probably less.., i asked him the reason for being rude, he says, that's what he been told to speak with customers... I am loyal croma customer, in fact most of things in my house is from croma.. But now I dont feel like going to croma anymore..

              If store manager behaves like this then there is no hope for team members to learn things from him.. This is second time i am facing this behavioural issue specially from Ground floor guys.Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore Branch.. U will lose business in this area..

                Poor Customer Service

                This is in response to the rather lousy service I have been facing over the past 2-3 days from the AC dept at the Croma Bandra branch. Infact last week itself i had purchased a Sony Home theatre from the same outlet. I had visited the store on Sunday and wished to go in for the Onida 1.5 ton split AC, the salesperson told me there would be a site inspection on Tues, yet till tday no ones bothered to come.
