Hi -

I have bought an EXIDE UPS with EXIDE Battery (850 V) on Nov 2012. Now the UPS is not working properly.
When I raised a complaint regarding this, I didn't get proper response from the seller.
I also raised a complaint regarding this in the customer care and my complaint number is STIN00005314.
None of the person attend my complaint yet.
Exide Industries customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

    Dear Sir,

    I would like to bring into your kind notice that I had purchased an Exide Battery from your authorized dealer M/s Jaiswal Batteries Sewa Kung Road,HandiChowk,RAIGARH(CG)496001. Bill No.305

    The above battery has been Burst in my house due to which my some others furniture’s have been damaged and my brother was also mat with an accident and some injury take place, however he is save. It is also necessary to mention here at the time of purchasing the battery, I had faced lot of problems in the battery for which I had lodged the claim with your dealer and inspite of making several requests your dealer.

    DEAR SIR, I SRIKANTA SAHOO HAVE PURCHASED A BIKE TVS APACHE RTR 160 ON 7TH APRIL 2010. NOW I AM HAVING PROBLEM WITH START. THE TVS DEALER SAYS THE BATTERY HAS BEEN DAMAGED. PLEASE PROVIDE ME A BATTERY AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE.

      Sir,

      I had purchased a Exide Battery IR-500-1PO-49143 from Nippon Associates, Rajumundry, Andhra Pradesh vide their Bill No.13 Dt.03.04.2012. (who is your authorized dealer), with a guarantee/warrantee of one year. But the same battery became out of order within the guarantee period and I lodged a complaint of the same to the dealer from where I had purchased the battery. The dealer Nippon Associates, told me to deposit the battery with them and they will replaced it immediately, accordingly I deposited the battery on 09.03.2013.

      Further, I repeatedly contact the dealer but the dealer has been giving reply that the battery will be replaced when the stock will be available only. And at last he gave a phone number of Mr. Ramesh of Vijayawada[protected] who is probably your distributor. In this manner I am running form Nippon Associates to Mr. Ramesh of Vijayawada. Again I lodged the complaint through your Toll free No. [protected] and I have been given a number of Mr. Rajsekhar ([protected]) who is your representative from Vijayawada & he has also given the same reply, subject to availability of stock.

      Sir, I want to ask you a question if you are having no stock of same commodity why you are selling such item in the market? Is this your way of motto to satisfy the customers? I think you are only to fetch the illegal money from customer.And, once the customer paid the money against the item your responsibility is over. I am sorry to say that I became so harassed after purchasing your product that I became financially as well as mentally tortured by your dealer/ representative. And, I could not get any out put of Battery and my purpose of purchasing this could not be solved. Because at the pick time of final examination of our children I faced the problem. So, will you please kindly consider my case and arrange to replace my battery at the earliest? Otherwise, I will be compelled to take the shelter of Law. I hope a positive response from your end in the matter.And; also I want to give you a advice that to maintain your goodwill “Customers Satisfaction should be your motto”. And, your dealers/representatives should be polite and honest with to the customers as well as they should give satisfactory reply instead of harrash them.

        I have purchased Exide make battery for by byke with 15 months warrenty it has creating problem now approached Tadbund dealer he refused to replace the battery though the warrenty is still 30/03/2013. Service center incharge Mr Shiva Kumar ([protected]) replied that the sale of battery from the Dealer at chandanagar date has overwriting so refused to exchange. Exide battery lasts minimum for 3 years how does battery fail within 15 months, this is purely manufacturing defect.

          On the date of 16.7.12 i had purchased a Royal enfield classic 350 . But in the month of January its battery had stopped working properly .Battery warranty card no is 001564.
          I had submitted the battery to exide dealer Uttum auto sec 4 bokaro steel city. Then i have received the same battery after its repair after ten days.
          But again my problem exists with the same battery. Now I want to replace it with new one because its creating lots of problem with me . Now i have submitted the battery again to another dealer named Tamkoria battery centre ,chas. Warranty card and purchased bill are attached herewith and also submitted copies.
          But any action hasbeen not taken right now

          Exide — not working &taking charge since Dec/2010e

          I had purchased a Inva Queen 500 + battery [ Batch No. 309 Serial No. 093388] from M/S Shivam Electronics, baba lokenath market Goshala Bazar, Maligaon Guwahati-11 (Assam) on 03.05.2009, but, it is not working & taking charge since Dec,2010 though the inverter is OK. On complaint, the shop keeper stated that your warranty period of 18 month has been passed and nothing will be done from company side. Though a per warranty card, warranty period is up to 2nd May 2011 . Please do needful repair or replacement.

            i have complained for defect in my EXIDE maga1500 battery at dealer's store( DEALER CODE 45996). And send for replacement under warranty, but no action was taken in company and returned back saying that its okay. It's still having backup problem and hardly lasts for 10-15 minutes only, after a full charge. It took about 2 month to listen the clame and returned back the same defected battery. my battery serial no. is 3J163003 . And i had registered a complaint on 20/01/2013 in company and Complaint Battery type number is ZSC0-MEGA1500 and in complaint review of the company clams that my battery is correct but it is clearly defected, as my dealer has also checked it and found defected. please help

              Dear Sir,

              I have purchased A bike bullet classic 350 on 13/02/2012 in which Exide Battery was there.
              On 17/01/2013 my battery collapseed for which i approached to ur dealer BATTERY WORLD.
              they processed the same and gave me new battery ON[protected].
              yesterday again the new battery provided by the EXIDE company drained and today i visited same shop they gave no of Mr. Pal of EXIDE ([protected]).
              now my vehicle is out of warranty on[protected] but my point is how can a new brand battery collapse in 25 days
              its dose"nt suits your company image i request you too look into that matter

              Mr pal says its out of warranty so company is not responsible for it.This is destroying your reputation.

              The battery which I have got is not charging properly from the date of replacement. I contact with the said dealer and told him the problem. He charged me Rs. 100/- for his service charge as battery is in guarantee period. As there is no fault from my side. As battery is not charging properly. He also says if I send battery to company for replacement you have to pay Rs. 450/-. He is not providing any kind of service to me I have visited his shop lot of time. .



              I request you to kindly look in the matter and instruct your dealer to replace or repair my battery immediately with any delay or you send me your concern staff / technical person to check the battery.

              Hoping an early reply in the above matter.

              Battery — Faulty battery

              Dear Sir,
              I bought an exide tubular battery in August 2008 for my inverter. Within a couple of days I realized that the battery is not charging my inverter properly. I complained it to the dealer, but the dealer was reluctant to accept my views. I told him that there is nothing to believe, he could see it by himself. After repeated persuasion, I was able to send the battery back to the dealer.

              The battery was with the dealer (or with the company, I don’t know) for nearly 4-5 months and in December 2009, I got my battery back. It was only a couple of days again when I realized that nothing had been done with the battery and it was not working properly. It has been 3 months now, but I am really fed up with all these, completely exhausted.

              Please suggest me what can be done.

              i purchased a hero honda bike lat year on 25 april 2009 but the exide battery fitted in it is not working properly due to which my bike's horn, indicators are not working. i am facing this problem from last 6-8 months. i told the supervisor of himgi automobiles but he is not giving attention to my problem.

              Battery — 2 battery damaged in five months

              I have a discover 150cc byke. But the cars 2 batteries damaged in seventh month.

                This in regards to excide battery which came along with my new FZS bike which i bought 8 months ago.
                But 3 days back my bike self start stop working when i visited the bike autorised service center they checked & said the because of the battery acid leakage the entire battery wire got spoiled & they will chage 200 to me for the wire.

                The reason for wrinting this is only in 8 month the battery got spoiled which is not expected from a reputed battery company

                  I have bought Tuffbull solar TP 40 from Exide Industrial coimbatore - contact[protected].                     I am writing to aware those people who are thinking to get their battery replaced with Exide. Please be alert that it would better go to the other product like Amaron,TATA green than go to Exide because the company has fallen its quality & commitment and product is being sold just for brand name.But I am sure those who have experienced this product oflate must have thought of been cheated.

                    I have purchased one byke battery on 03.08.2011 from the dealer of Exide from Borivali,Mumbai. After passing 15 months, the battery started malfunctioning. Though after starting up my byke, horn & indicator was working properly but self start was not happening. Before starting up the byke, horn & indicator response was not up to the mark.

                    I visited one nearby dealer from my hometown at Baruipur,Kolkata-700144. As per his advice, the Battery is to be replaced. Since the warranty has been expired (15 months warranty), nothing can be done.

                    But I am determined that the product was manufactured long before before I purchased the product otherwise how it is possible of getting Battery damaged within 18 months only. If it was local product taken in exchange of a cheap rate then I could have explained myself .Please suggest what I can do now....:(

                      EXIDE BATTERIES — DYSFUNCTIONING OF EXIDE BATTERIES WITH IN WARRANTY

                      Dear Sir,

                      We had been using Exide Battery for our tankers. Two Batteries were purchased MHD 880 on 19.06.2010 vide dealer invoice no 21956 dt[protected] the same got discharged within GUARANTEE PERIOD. Every time we lodge complaint to your dealer NATRAJ ELECTRICALS, DELHI But the same is sent back to us after charging and claiming battery charging rate and after few days it starts again dis- functioning. Several time we approached to dealer but every time same response received from dealer so far. Please suggest me what should I do. It is surprising that the new Battery has functioned only for about 12 Months. Whereas on your warranty card it is mention free replacement within 18 months, If it is then what the use of giving guarantee on Batteries new replacing them.

                      Appropriate action is anticipated.

                        Sir i have purchased Exide SF Sonic Inverter Battery 150AH on 03 May 12 through their dealer. Now my battery got not working. I have approached dealer from where i have brought it. Dealer took my battery and return after 20 days told that now it is ok. After putting it on inverter battery again creating same problem as earlier and not working. I again approached dealer, but now dealer stating that Exide SF Sonic company is not replacing defected batteries. However i have battery gurunttee card and my particular battery covered under 3 years gurunttee scheme. Request resolve my issue.

                          I Bought 4 numbers of EXIDE ELECTRICA batteries from M/S Pal Auto Electricals on 21st May 2012 and used in my YO BIKE. I found these batteries are deformed within 6 months that is within replacement guaranty period as per the EXIDE WARRANTY. However the dealer delayed to receive these for claim and asked me to come on sunday. Then again asked to bring the yo bike and then the charger etc. Finally the 6 months are over and now the dealer says nothing can be claimed from the company now.
                          Please suggest me what to do?

                            On dt. 25. 01. 12 i had an exide bought a battery no. Cp 150 (In) 3fi - 61552 from delhi battery service since last 2 months it is not performing well, it gets down every day, resulting we are facing starting problem. 1 month ago the dealer recharged it & told me that now it will perform properly. But again the problem exists. That dealer is also lingering the claim & battery, s guarantee period is coming near (25. 01. 12) .
                            So pls have consideration on my genuine problem. .

                              बैटरी को ठीक करने के लिए तीन बार दिया जा चुका है और कंपनी (Exide Battery) बैटरी को OK करके वापस कर देती है। तीसरी बार जब मैंने बैटरी को ठीक करने के लिए दिया और ठीक करके आदित्या हीरो एजेंसी के वापस आया तो मैंने वहीँ पर चेक कराया तो पता चला कि बैटरी ठीक नही हुई है।
                              अतः आपसे से निवेदन है कि उपरोक्त समस्या के निवारण हेतु आवश्यक करवाई करने की कृपा करें।

                                I purchased a bike Model No- Discover-ST125. After one week when I
                                trying to start my bike, its not started. I visited to Bajaj Service
                                center, Engineer told me that my batter was very weak. There is a
                                problem with battery. He referred me to Exide battery service center
                                Okhla Phase-I B-24 office. They told me that we can not replace your
                                battery, our system is not working. I visited two times but there is
                                no resolution received from there. I contacted the person name is Mr.
                                Manoj in exide okhla office. I have taken leave from my office for
                                replacing my bike batter but Exide companies does not have procedures
                                to replace the batter without running their system.

                                Kindly suggest or provide some help to get it resolve.

                                I have purchased a Exide inva tubular IT 500 battery on December 2006. It has a warranty period of 30 months. Last month (Sept 2008) battery was giving back up of 30 min only. So, I asked my dealer (Debnath Battery, Ranaghat- Nadia) to check it up. He checked it and kept my bettery for replacement and said within 20 daysI'll get my battery back. To day I called him and came to know that my battery has not been sent to company yet. He is not giving me the any proper reason for that and misbehaving with me. Actually I wanted to know the status of my bettery and he arogantly rejected that and said that he won't share any of his document further. He clearly mentioned what ever I want to do I can and he won't share none of his document. Details of my battery are given below:

                                i had purchased new bike suzuki hayate on oct 2012.. after some time i had a problem in self starting . then m going to suzuki showroom they told me your battery have problem and we are sending this battery for replacement. After 15 days they told me your battery is changed with some one . Your battry manufacturing date is feb 13. so it is not possible.

                                  I PURCHASED A SF EXIDE INVERTER BATTERY ,ON 06 /10/2010 FROM M/S POWER PAK OTTAPALAM, A DEALER FOR THE ABOVE MENTIONED BATTERY.THE SAME STARTED GIVING TROUBLE ABOUT 7 MONTHS BACK.THE SAME WAS TAKEN BACK BY THE DEALER ON 15 SEP 2012 ALONG WITH THE GUARANTEE CARD,AND SENT TO THEIR MAIN DEALER AT ERNAKULAM THROUGH THEIR TRICHUR BRANCH.AS NO ACTION TO REPLACE THE BATTERY WAS FORTHCOMING AFTER ONE MONTH ,I TOOK UP THE MATTER WITH THE LOCAL DEALER. HE INFORMED THAT THE SAME IS LYING AT THEIR TRICHUR GODOWN AND WILL BE REPLACED WITHIN ONE WEEK.HE PROVIDED A STAND BY BATTERY FOR THE TIME BEING.AS NO PROGRESS WAS SEEN,FOR 3 MONTHS, I WARNED HIM THAT I WOULD APPROACH THE CONSUMER COURT. AS THE COMPANY HAS NOT SENT THE BATTERY TO ERNAKULAM IN-SPITE OF HIS REGULAR REMINDERS ,HE GAVE ME THE COMPLAINT NUMBER KHO 00005080 DATED 25/9/2012,AND ASKED ME TO CONTACT MR SUBASH,THE SALES OFFICER([protected]),WHO GAVE ME THE MAIL ID [protected]@exide.co.in AND ASKED ME TO SEND THEM A MAIL.I SENT THE MAIL TO THEM ON 15 NOV 2012 (BY THIS DATE I WAS WITHOUT MY INVERTER BATTERY FOR MORE THAN 3 MONTHS) .IT IS SURPRISING TO NOTE THAT IN-SPITE OF MY COMPLAINT ,THEY DID NOT HAVE THE COURTESY TO EVEN SEND ME A REPLY.A LADY RANG ME UP THE NEXT DAY TO ASK ME FOR THE CODE NO OF THE COMPLAINT .I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND AS TO HOW A WELL KNOWN COMPANY LIKE EXIDE CAN TREAT ITS CUSTOMER IN THIS MANNER ,EVEN WHEN THE COMPLAINT IS WITHIN THE GUARANTEE PERIOD .IF A BATTERY IS LYING UNCHARGED IN THEIR TRICHUR GO DOWN FOR THE LAST 3 MONTHS ,IT WILL BECOME USELESS EVEN WITHOUT ANY DEFECT.                                     Purchased a car Maruti zen Exide max Battery on[protected] mfg code ilia slno-440028 from Electronic
                                    House, Mirzapur chowk, Darbhanga,Bihar. Defects arises in charging & starting of car.When checked
                                    it found that out of 6 cell one is not charging & shows zero charge, whereas other 5 cell is fully charged.
                                    Dealer however received the Battery but without replacement he wants to deliver with repairing.
                                    When its function failed within 2 months how it is possible to repair it locally.
                                    No service Battery is Temp provided,causes setback of my daily work and loss of huge amount in conveyance.

                                      Respected Sir,

                                      I'v bought Exide Home Batteries (Exide Inva Tubular IT500i), from Exide distributor named as "Brother's Enterprises" in Kalyan (E), Thane, Maharashtra during the time of purchase the distributor represented and promoted the features and specification of the battery so well (specially the indicator system present in the unit) that I purchased it for an amount of 13,000 with buybacking my old battery (Exide 1800 plus).

                                      There was another battery available for 11,000 without indicator system.

                                      Now after paying 2000 extra on this model ( Exide Inva Tubular IT500i) just for the indicator was the biggest mistake what I did, as the indicator is not functioning as mentioned in the user manual moreover I already logged a complaint with your company for the same issue for which your technician visited my house and tested the battery, he had provided me test result mentioning that battery indicator is just for an assumption purpose for the customer and is not completely reliable.

                                      After paying extra 2000 for the unit which doesn't function as desired (Indicator) and their own employee giving me the suggestion that the indicator is not at all reliable doesn't meet customer satisfaction at all.

                                      From the time I purchased this battery I,m facing issue with the indicator system.

                                      Further to explain on this point Exide dealer never educated me any point during the time of purchase that the indicator unit does not comes under the warranty cover of 48 months,

                                      Moreover if Exide is mentioning that i must have read the warranty details, the warranty card was delivered to me along with the unit in my house and before that nobody explained this point to me neither the company person or the dealer.

                                      Awaiting for your positive response at the earliest.

                                        I have purchased a battery dated on 08/02/2010 and according to the dealer the warranty would expired on 2014. but few days back when i faced some problem with battery and I visited its service center on where i got the information that the battery i have received it is out of warranty. i am attaching the details of purchasing. There is one more point to be mentioned that the details on warranty card is totally different with the details mentioned on battery. But it was purchased by my father who is no more and the dealer shop is already closed so cant traceable. would request you to please help us as we are facing electricity problem a lot.
