I am facing the same problem. I had sent few important letters for my wife visa restamping via USPS Priority Mail on Dec12 2009 and am still awaiting it to be delivered. Felt in the 5-6 days trap.
Lesson learnt ...never use USPS services..they are crap...no tracking ...no help whatsoever if not delivered.

Did you finally received it..if yes then when?

I am facing with the same problem. Send some docs by USPS Priority Mail on 19th December 2009 and till today [Jan 7th, 2010] this is not received in India/Kerala [I know there are holidays in between]. Some of my friends also had the same experience sending priority mail to India/Kerala. It looks like the delay is in India either at Delhi or Cochin. This service to India is not reliable and I am not using it again!

I purchased Kvps from Ghatkopar, Mumbai Post office. On maturity I submitted an appliction to Jalahalli, bangalore post office for obtainng clearence to enable me get the payment from Jalahalli Post Office on 29 Sep 09.

Ghatopar Mumbai Posst office has confirmed that they have not received my application so far Jalahalli Post Office says they have already forwrded the application to Divisnol P.O, Rajaji Nagar, Bangalore.

Speed post of Postal deptt — Non delivery

I have sent a letter by speed post on 1/12/2009 but it is not delivered even on 8/12/2009.
The booking reference is ET[protected]IN.
Today on inquiry from Chennai office I was told that it has been delivered on 5/12/2009. But to whom it is delivered is not being mentioned.
The letter contains important documents and need to be traced immediately.

I have booked two parcels detinated to Australia and USA from Nanded post office dated 8/9/07 vide recipt no.B-1409 and B-1408 respectively sub sequently having Air Parcel no.CP[protected]IN and CP[protected]IN our buyer has confirmed

Even after 04 days, the consignment has not been delivered. They promised to deliver in 48 hours to 72 hours. No. SPEP[protected]IN at counter no.1, I have paid a sum of rupees sixty eight only

Indian Custom Department /Indian Post — Lost of the important items

I was in Taiwan since last tow years 2007 to 2008. I was back in INdia Dec. 2008. Before I left Taiwan I have sent my house hold items (by Ship)for my family by Taiwan post on 2nd Dec. 2008. it was delivered by Indian post office to me on 25 th Fab 2009. But I have lost my One Aristocrat Attachi, Juicer(1 nos). My New purchased cloth (10-pairs). The valuable toys of my son. shoes(2-pairs). . Ladies purses ((4 nos). Imported comble (1 nos). Wall Clock (1 nos)

The Total worth was INR 50, 000.00 but I got only used cloths and and old toys. Rest are theft by Indian post.

Local post office in Mangrol-(Gujarat) told me that It should be done by only Indian Custom Department

I really affraid due to this matter, How the government people work for? Cheater and theft.

I had sent a parcel weighing 800gms to my native place in Pathsala, Assam, Pin Code 781325 bearing tracking number ED[protected]IN on 17July 2009. When I traced the movement, I found that it was last bagged at Barpeta for Pathsala on 21st July 2009 but no records after that. Barpeta is the District Head Quarters. My family hasnt received the parcel yet. Its something related to sentiments! Please HELP!

My daughter sent me a parcle on the 19th August from Australia, it has not reahed me yet and there is no way I can tack it. My daughter has tried to track it, and she has been told that it has left Australia and now we have to check with the Indian Post.

Speed post of india postal service — Not delivering of speed post parcel

I have sent my article by speed post having no EE[protected]IN from itanagar to imphal via guwahati on 17oct 2011 and it reach guwahati on 21oct 2011. But fails to deliver till today 28oct 2011. I cant imagine why it takes too much time in delivering from itamagar to imphal. The article has recieve guwahati on 21 and sent to imphal. I have to use it on 31. I dont think i will be able to use it in time. How can i trust such a reputed postal service in the country.. I request to the concern authority to take this matter a serious concern.

I am writing to you about the one parcel we had dispatched from the Jubilee Hills Post Office, Hyderabad ( Next to the club)

I have been sending parcels via India post for 3 years now and i always recommend it to family and friends. All have them have reached destination safely.

However i must bring to your notice, that the last time we visited the counter. The man at the counter told us - " Are you sure you want to send parcel, if it gets lost dont blame us"

We told him we have sent many parcels and there was no reason for us to be worried.

However today after 10 days i decided to check my tracking slip for tracing the parcel and to my horror the Tracking number says invalid. I am wondering how is it possible that the tracking number be invalid ? A copy of the same attached.

I am now automatically suspicious of the man on the counter. Why did he make a comment like that? I would urge you to please help investigate this case. Especially because i am not worried about the man who actually passed this comment if has a role to play in it.

I am missing so many items from parcels sent from overseas that I'm sure the whole place within the confines of the Kolkata Post Office is nothing more than a den of thieves. Despite customs Declarations being completed in full prior to delivery, personnel at this place continue to open parcels, packets and envelopes in the guise of 'inspection'. Utter rubbish. Emails written more than once to the controller, assistant manager, and anyone else whose name I have located, remain unanswered. So one can only assume that they too are in the midst of all the corruption carried on in those premises. No pangs of conscience obviously.

Still waiting for any response from those supposedly employed in good faith with India Post

This it seems is a reccuring problem and surely needs some investigation or else it would adversely effect P2P international trade businesses. I regulary receive gifts through post from my friends living abroad. But lately a lot of my packages have been arriving in a manged state without any of their contents. The packages look as if they have have been opened and ransacked. In this manner i have had a lot of my jewelry stolen that i had purchased online. I checked on the customs website and read that importing jewelry is not against any custom rules. I am very very enraged at what is happening. Yesterday i received a package from the US which was torn open from the bottom and the $170 necklace it was carrying was stolen my the Post Office people. I live in bhilai and my pincode is 490009. I have heard that the postal people very usually open packages and steal whatever they find to their liking but I can't tolerate it when they start doing it with my expensive items. I really need your help since I have already spoken to my Post Master and he has been nothing but rude and condescending to me. I would also like to register a complaint on the india post website, but seems like there is no such provision there! PLEASE HELP

Indian Post Office — Stolen Content of Package

On December 16 I mailed a laptop computer from the United States to my brother in law in Belgaum, India. I filled out the customs declaration form completely as well as the price of the goods. On January 6 my brother-in-law received ONLY the box of the laptop without the contents. My mailing address and the customs form that the US has placed on the package was missing. Also missing was the postage.

I would just like to say that this is very sad that someone working in the Indian Postal System can steal someones property like that. The US has made inquiries to the Indian Postal Service but have told my that India will most likely do nothing as they see this issue a lot.

I advise anyone to completely avoid using the Indian postal service. There are far better options available such as DHL, FEDex and UPS. Never have I seen such corruption from a government agency.

Dear Sir/Madam

This is regarding a parcel which has been sent by my brother in law from Aaustralia. The Parcel contained two (02) Electronic Photo Frame make of Toshiba costing $ 259.90 as the things were declared to postal dept. In Australia.
But to my utter surprise and horror the contents from my parcel which was delivered by Mr Badal Das on 7th of March 2011 has been replaced with a Pair of slippers and one bottle of cheap perfume. but the packet was intact from outside but inside it has been torned apart mercilessly.
When I visited GPO and Yogayog Bhawan for the complain the they advised me to visit the Belgachia PO as the matter was in their jurisdication,
so when I approached the said PO they told me to visit the destination PO which is Kaikhali PO 700052.
To my surprise instead of being helpful and sympathise with the horrible experince I had they talk to me rudely and told me to stop the matter as it is, none of the staff wants to disclose their name and do not want to receive my complain letter and told me to get lost litrally.
I was shocked by their behaviour and culture they have been bought up. I am a software Engineer by Profession so it is not possible for me to take leave from my office and chase the culprits as the onus is on the postal dept. employees.
I have already Lodged my complaint to the INDIA POST on their WEB PORTAL the Complain No. is[protected] dated 15.03.2011
So I want the concern dept. and concerned persons to look into the matter and reply as soon as possible.
Yor prompt action will be highly appreciated.

Purchased a Lithium ion battery charger from hongkong based website named fasttech.com. They dispatched it via Singapore registered air mail No. RQ[protected]SG.

when i received the parcel and opened it the box of the charger was stuffed with a hindi magazine of chaturvedi mahasabha and there was no charger & its parts.

Most probably the theft has been committed at Foreign Post office at chennai as parcel landed there first according to tracking number provided.

This shows indian postal service in very bad light.

Shame on you Indian post . On rakhi festival my wife sent a few rakhis on different address in India, but unfortunately no one received any rakhi from parcels and all was opened and nothing was inside .I don't know when Indian can say proudly that they live in corruption free country .

This is second time I lost my valuable in “Indian Post Office”.

Any item sent from US via USPS does not get tracked in “Indian Post Office” and Indian post office officers and postmen consider any item sent from US as a personal gift to them for their personal keep.

As there is no tracing system and accountability in “Indian Post Office” ! The posts are literally in mercy of Low moral Indian post office workers.

I wonder why USPS has tied up with “Indian Post” where there are better foreign parcel service functional in India. And any one sending an item from US will not mind spending few more dollar to save the valuable item from “Indian Post” .

My friend from USA send me a Iphone 5 on as gift for me by us postal service on 2 June 2015 and post main delivered it to me on 2 July 2015. But the problem is that when I opened package there was empty box of mobile. That's mean some one stolen Iphone from package. I am completely disappointed about don't know what to do.

My convocation Certificate is posted by Mysore University to my country has seem to vanish!It cannot be traced which country it currently is in! Complaint lodged to India post seems like pouring water on duck backs! It has been over a month and no one can say where my certificate is!

I spent two years studying in India, one year after I have finished and returned home still cannot get my certificate!How do you expect foreigners to study in India and receive their Certificates, if the post office in India cannot send a post outside the country????? I am very angry and stressed!

Kolkata airport sorting office has recruited thieves in their department. They are so good that they know which is registered parcel bearing a number like RCxxxxxxxxIN & they dont touch that. If parcel has no such number they just tear that parcel & forward the empty envelope or, total steal that parcel. Thats why parcels not coming to home from foreign. if international seller attaches false tracking no. like RCxx.. then they dont touch it.

unable to track our registered parcel

my postal code for register parcel is ACP[protected]IN. parcel is from chennai, tamilnadu, india to great Britain.sent on 28/10/2013.time 15.44.but still we didnt receive the post.please do needful.

Postman dosen't deliver posts in the area for near about every 2 months

I would like to draw your attention towards our post office branch located at meri(nashik-422004). the postmen working in this branch don't even deliver our posts to respected homes at the right times they are supposed to.because of this we are not getting our important posts at the right time.

I had a parcel - EP[protected]RU shipped from Biomedis.ru business partner from Russian federation, on14/4/2017 I received the parcel with letter stating that parcel was tampered while received from Delhi. When I opened the box, the product is missing and only box is present. Someone has stolen the product via transit, Please investigate the theft.

Its a waste guys to complain. I recently had similar occurrence while sending parcel from U.S via usps they have collaboration with india post. Only if i knew before hand i wouldn't have sent it as u know they are vultures and thieves. Join me on a movement im starting on twitter @alimohammadham3. I am so disappointed with Indian post. Shame on them ! They don't know how to do their job but they sure know how to steal from people packages.I sent a parcel from usa to punjab thru usps which hands it over to third party which is india post. When my family got the parcel it was nothing but empty box with most of the stuff missing. Regarding maturity amount withdrawal of NSC :-

I have purchased NSC worth of Rs 100000/= from Vasai Rd, Mumbai and it got matured on 12.12.09. Now i am staying in Trichur, Kerala after retirement . i would like to withdraw the money from Punkunnam post office at trichur.

As required by Punkunnam post office i have submitted the zerox copy of the certificates along with application on 3rd week of November . Sorry to say i have not received any intimation till date. Please let me know what should i do now. As per postwomen at punkunnam they have sent it for varification .

I had deposited my PPF account PassBook (A/C No. 8765) on date 27/07/2009 at Head Post Office Raigarh (C.G.) for Transfer of my PPF account from Ballabhgarh distt.Faridabad Haryana-121004 to Raigarh Post office. At the time of deposition of my passbook postmaster said that it will take time of one month for transfering the accont from Ballabhgarh to Raigarh, but unfortunately till date I have not recived my account Transfered at Raigarh post office. I have many times visited to Raigarh post office but they people are unable to find my documents as per them my documents sent to Head Post master Faridabad on dated 27.07.2009 through registered post vide reg.No. 5134 dated 27.07.2009.but till today it has not reached at Ballabhgarh post office. I approched to Post master Raigarh many times but result is zero they are still saying that wait for some time . I also approched to Ballabhgarh post office but as per their records there is no such type of documents reached. as on 08.01.2010.
so please give me solution of my matter as soon as possible because I have 2 months remaining for deposit some ammount in my PPF account.

My name is anil and i am a person who try in Govt servises exams. But the problem is that our postman mr SUNIL who is working in south delhi chhatterpur Fatehpur beri area is not properly deliver letters and i am absutly disagree by his behaviour because my two letters one from RBI second from fci were not deliver by him and my third letter from new india assurance company limited deliver but after three days of exam date.
So please sir take stricket action against him because my three important govt services are spoiled because of mr SUNIL our postman.
