[Resolved]  India Today Book Club — Not able to avail the holiday voucher package promised by them

India Today Book Club — unable to browse page to register for free holiday vouchers

After making order for 20CD pack, I was assured to send gift holiday vouchers but when I tried on web page 'http://offer.India today book club.com/gift.htm', that failed in opening of the said page. I phoned to customer care officer, who gave me another web address "www.bokstoday.in/promos.htm" and that also failed to open. I have seen on complains of many people of similar kind. Instead of opening the page where I can register enrolling code no. given to me, page of compalints is opening.Is this deleberate and making people fool? If I do not get any satisfactory reply within 7 days, I shall have to move to Consumer dispute reddressal commission as you are the service provider and broke the assurance given to the valued customer.

India Today Book Club — Non arrival of Holiday Package

I had booked a holiday package of Rs.5943 from India Today book club by paying the amount via my credit card and was assured that the package will be delivered along with the booking ID and Voucher number on the 7th day of payment. But after 7 days when I enquired about the package, the response I receive is that the package is yet to be dispatched and a new procedure was told to me for attaining the Voucher number (which is required to book my hotel tickets). The process was so long and required so much of time that there process is highly ridiculous.
This book club is actually taking undue advantage of its association with Times Group and I would like to say that this is a complete bunch of liars and highly non-reliable people. NEVER TRUST ON THEM. They make commitments which are always in air and they never ever give proper response to customer after they receive the money.

i am against this all complains beacuse every company have some type of problems in there system this all pepoles who have written this all is also doing the smaething in any or the other company i have ordered for dinner set 5698/ and told ecutive to deliveer that in 10 days and 5 days only that dinner set was deliver then i ordererd for swatch watch and to has recahed on my door step within 10 days.so in my eyes India Today is Very good company to deal with.

the only way to protect urself from this "scam" or cheating is tht u pay on delivery!!!they have started a new pay on delivery service.i got myself a gud pair o[censored]cb sunglasses for a mere 700!!!

indiatodaybookclub — not received my free gift flight voucher

I had purchased a set of 20 devtional song CDs from Indiatodaybookclub which had a promotional offer of a 3day 2 night holiday package worth Rs.5000 and a round trip Air Ticket worth Rs.7000. My Invoice Number is ORA[protected] and the request form No.IT14173 was sent to Premier Sales Promotions Pvt.Ltd.P.O.Box No.5042, Bangalore-560001 under certificate of posting on the 24th April 2009.I was to have recieved the flight voucher within 10 days .However till date I have not recieved any flight voucher although almost 2 months have elapsed. Kindly initiate redressal action against the company so that they fulfil their promisses

I am a suscriber of Harvard Business Review from India Today Group . They gave my contact details to their division INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB . Following is the text of letter which I have been writing to them :

Dear Sami / Rohit Kumar,

I received the promo code on 13th June .( for which I paid on 10th May )

The list of resorts available on the the basis of promo code is very very low as compared to the list of resorts provided by you ( 65 ) by email . .

The available resorts is only 8 to 9, that too mostly in South India which is not practically possible to use from Delhi.

This is a complete LET DOWN from the INDIATODAY group .

I booked two holiday vouchers and I find vast difference between what was promised & the actual delivered .

I request you to return my money at the earliest .

India Today Book Club — False Free Gift Claim

Dear Sir

I have bought a sun glass of reebok from India Today Book Club. At the time of purchase i was told that i will be getting the Holiday Package totally Free. But with the product I have not got any free voucher. Thereafter I have contacted the ITBC for detail. Good the information that I have to Claim from their WEB with Some number. Which was not their in my Invoice. After waiting for some time i got that no.

When i went to the web page to get my gift a long procedure was written with at least 2 time post communication has to be done. But the surprisingly for the free gift they have asked to me to Pay Rs. 800 by DD as service charge. I don't know how its free when we have to pay Rs. 800

Moreover it was mentioned that if after booking if canceled we have to Pay Rs. 2000 to 4000 as charges for cancel by way of debit or credit card.

This means that once we pay Rs. 800 for booking they will again rob us in the name of free asking more money to be paid for some XYZ charges. This is clearly a cheating because before booking the product it was clearly mentioned by customer care person that no additional charges is required to be paid.

Kindly some one please guide me how to go for consumer court against such malpractice done by one of well known business house in media

I purchased holiday stay vouchers of Rs 5943.00(Rs.Five Thousand Nine Hundred Forty Three) on 15-May-2009 after getting fully convinced that the offer is for 4(four) adults from customer points of india today book club. But when I got detailed booklet about( only after paying Rs.5943.00) it was something else. Offer was only for two adults and two childrens below age of 12 years. I totally felt misguided and cheated and talked to customer point atleast 5 times but they refused to accept that they have misguided. So I must ask India today book club to oblige what they speak and maintain trust of public who pays their hard earn money by trusting them over telephonic conversation.
So either extend offer for four adults or pay my money back.

India Today Book Club — Havent Recieved Holiday package

I have ordered for a Reebok watch (Rs799). I got the parcel within 15 Days but the holiday package as promised was not there. and to aad on to my panic one invoice was attached to the gift which has a unique code to claim the holiday package. but the site www.bookstoday.in/promoshtm never opened only. This is really disgusting and shame in the name of the company like India Today. hope my issue will get resolved soon.

I have booked order for Rs. 3999 for Rebock shoes & asso. My order no. is OGA[protected]. You sent me shoe of no.7 in stead of 8. After negotiation on phone no [protected], I have returned the shoe on 26th March, 2009. That time on phone & by website of Trackon you confirmed that you recieved the shoe on 28th March. My couriers com. is Trackon & cons.no. is[protected].And also promished me you sent me shoe no.8 within 20 days. But after 4 month I could not get it. In the mean time, on phone, you tell me that you have not been recived my shoe no.7 & want proof about this. How can I give u proof because couriers company reserve the datas of track on website for only 45 days & in records for 3 months. It means, previously you accepted that you recive & after 3 months you deny by PREPLAN. Are you cheat & fraud to costmor. Please, reply me as soon as possible otherwise my next step is going to consumer forum.
