I have sent one parcel on 11 November and i was told that it will reach in 5-7 working days but its more than 10 days and when i check the status, i get that it has already been dispatched to India last week and it is more than 1 week it is not reached there .

The passport site for Pune is displaying the following status regarding the delivery of my passport:

"Passport has been despatched by post on[protected] vide postal Registration Number 33083"

However, I still haven't recvd it. I have following questions regarding the registered postal service:
1. what is the standard delivery time for a registered post within the same city?
2. if there is nobody available at the address during the delivery time, how is the addressee informed?
3. will a second delivery attempt be made or can the passport be collected from the post office?
4. how can the registered post be tracked?

I really need help in this matter as I'll be travelling over the next 4 days and there will be nobody at my address to collect the passport.

I have sent a parcel in registry post from Hyderabad to kolkata; ideally it should reach by 5 working days. But it is about 15 days gone. I complaint this same issue using web portal of Indian post.Infact I queried to the postmaster, but he is not replying me positively. On 23/10/2006 I opened 3 years Time Deposit Account No.227506 for Rs.75000/- in Motilal Nagar P.O. Mumbai 400104. Today on 26/10/2009 I went for withdrawl at 0830 hrs, I was told that there is NO CHEQUES available with P.O. I was shocked to know that such big P.O. do not have cheque book stock. When I told the clerk that I am staying in Kandivali(E) and it is very difficult to travel during morning rush hours, I am given telephone No.28720391 and asked to contact on wendsday on 28/10/2009. Please look into the matter.

I sent medicines by Registered Parcel to my son in Australia from GPO, Vadodara vide Receipt No. CP[protected] IN on 28th Oct. 2009 alongwith doctor's prescription and certificate but as on today he did not receive. I always used to send medicines through postal authority every time as my son requires medicines for whole life as per doctor's advise. I have been informed by the postal authority that the parcel will reach within 6-7 days but, I regret, he has still not received and this is my third incidence. The medicines are very essential for him. Is this the service of India Post that evenafter lapse of 20 days receiver has not got the medicines?

Please investigate and let me know whether he would get the medicines and when?

Indian Postal Service — Non delivery of Health supplement ordered from US

I ordered body building supplement through Ist Place Supplements.
After order was confirmed of shippment within 10-15 days.
But when the product wasn't delievered after one month, I enquired for the product
to the company.They told me that they have dispatched the product as soon as
product was ordered.
They told me to enquire at customs, whether they have cleared the product
or not. They have provided me the Recipt no or label no.

I really don't know what has happened to the product.

My name is Kalpesh Bhadra, i am staying in Thane (Maharashtra State). I had applied for Graduate Trainee Test-2010, organised by ONGC. The test held on 20th June, 2010, all over the India.

I had applied for this test, but i could not appear for the test because Posatal department made delivery of my Hall Ticket on 24th June, 2010. The dealy in Delivery of Hall Ticket was the reason for me to not appeared for the test, and the entire Postal Deprtment is responsible for that.

When I went to the Post Office in Our area Wagle Estate, they are not ready to accept their mistakes and saying that if you want to do complaint do it, we donot care about that.

How secure the great INDIA is?? life is not safe, dirty politics, bribe, high corruption rates, pollution, no control measures over traffic, there is no politician who wants to do something good...

I'm a resident of Basavanahalli, Gurugadahalli (Post), Tiptur Tq, Tumkur Dist, Karnataka. Now I urgently need a new gas connection, for this purpose, I went to authorized Gas Agencies in Tiptur. I did request for the same and I was having my residential and identity proof that's sufficient for the new gas connection. But the same agency is denying me to give connection. They are giving reasons like my residency is village and they are telling they provide only to the urban areas. Is there any rule that saying only urban or city people can use LPG gas? Is it an offence to born in rural India? This is creating separation between rural and urban. I thing it is a serious concern. We all know India has more population in villages than urban side, but still bulk side is not able to get basic facilities.

Please consider my request and suggest me solution.

But Mrs. Zende of post office employee treated a person bearing authority letter very badly & asked to call speed post bearer to collect the letter. Now my question is why didn't she give post to authority letter bearer?. Person working can not go to post office in their office timing because his timing is too same, so the post must be given to authority letter bearer. I request post authority to hand over my post letter to authority letter bearer & take severe action against Mrs. Zende of post office employee as employee like her maligned the image of Indian Post. And this is the reason everybody is opting for private courior services.

I have applied for NSC certificate transfer from Mumbai Borivli H.O to Chandigarh sector 47 post office on 21/04/2009. NSC certificate number is 49EE 324439 (Rs 10000) which has been matured on 30/04/2009.Still it is not transfered from Borivli post office. Now a days it is taking too much time for transfer. Same thing I have experienced about 02 months back also with same post office branch. Kindly look into the matter & do the needful.

I can not agree more with the callous attitide of the post offices here.

My daughter's PAN card (coupon no.[protected] was despatched from Mumbai on 22/12.08 under certificate of posting (UCP No.PO[protected].

I had been constantly enquiring with the HSR BDA Complex PO and the lady officer in charge kept on assuring that no such mail came from the PAN department. Finally, yesterday the PAN service office at Ulsoor, Bangalore prvided an updated print out of the status of that PAN card which was not even returned to the sender as there was no such record. I would imagine it was lost under the heap o[censored]ndelivered letters or just thrown on the road.

Such is the inefficiency and slack tracking system at the post offices in this modern IT capital of the country! With the tax submission date close at heel who is going to take the responsibility of providing the PAN card? The whole system needs to be changed and certainly the woman-in charge of that PO.
But then does the Management in this department willing to listen and take action, most importantly, is the management capable of any action?

I agree. I bought a fragrance related item from US and in my case there was no tracking number, neverthless it never came to my home through post. They shipped it via DHL global priority mail. To test if i could get such items i bought a 2$ item and it was shipped correctly. I was under the impression that ofcourse the website is not a fraud one and also i should get the things i buy outside India and get it delivered via post. Next time i ordered 29$ product and it was ordered on 3rd Sep 2008 and another 2$ product on 7th Sep 2008 and so far I have never received it.

I understand that any product marked gift which comes to India via Air Parcel under 5000 RS/- should clear customs without any problems.

But in this case i have never recieved it.

I also bought something else from US website sometime back for 12$ and it never reached my home. I had to inform this to company who sold me the product and get the money back.

In India many government workers (Customs or postal service or cops, ministers, you name it, etc) are real [censored]s. If you strip their pants you will find an extra other than their real one and if you digg deep you will find the products worth other people's money hidden there.

Although this is trivial, no one can do anything about it. India SUCKS!!!

PPf account irregularties
I had PPF account no.381with Sector 22 Post office Faridabad. On my request In July 2008 account was transferred to SBI Faridabad. GPO Faridabad had sent all relevant papers for transfer to SBI except the cheque of Rs.3248 of the outstanding in the account.
A photocopy of the cheque no.679125 dated 26.7.08; Seq. no.[protected] Pres Bank[protected] for Rs.3248 was obtained which was found to have been cleared by Head Post office Sonepat. Since then we are regularly following up with Post offices at Faridabad and Sonepat but with no clue.

I had sold a cellphone via ebay (www.ebay.com) to a gentlemen in Tamil Nadu. I tried to send the parcel to him but neither the india post office not any other courier service accepted the courier stating it as "Security" reasons. Now i had gone to an extent to write a declartion form and submit it to the courier service that was ready to take the parcel but not one person agreed on that. I have check the India Post website for restricted items and no where there is a mention of Cellphone/Mobile phone.

I sent a parcel to Bhopa from US in the 3rd week of April through US Airmail. The US post office said that the parcel which contained a valuable blouse will reach Bhopal in 10 days. Now it is fiest week of June and the parcel has not been delivered to the person in Bhopal. The problem is that no one will say what happened to my parcel.We think some smart Postman has stolen this parcel. I filled up a complaint but as usual no one will reply.

I think it is useless for any one to expect anything from our great country India. I reconcilethat it went to a charity or poor home of a postman
