Poor and Rude Services by employees of Post Office — Rude Services of Post office

I am dam frustated with the services provided by the staff of Padhar Post Office of Distt Mandi. Pin Code is 176121. The employees of this office are very rude and always keeps on insulting the customers whosoever visit to the post office.
They think as if they are the ruler and everyone at here is ment to follow them in the manner they want. Whenso ever we need Postal orders they never provide it to us and istead start arguing.
They are the most unsinceare employeed I have ever seen in any organisation. As well as they never provide the complaint book to lodge the complaint against them.
Please take some steps to improve their services.

I had mis account with post office. due to the rude attitude of dealing clerk we shift our money to bank. Most of the time they busy with agent and don't bother to attend the custmor. If we say not to do that then their reply is close your account. I think this not good sign for post office

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I entreat with you to help me to close my account. The 23000 rupees in the account has to decide my future now. When I started the account I was informed that it could be prematurely closed after one year. In the Pass Book also it is written that the account can be closed after one year without furnishing any reason. However now I am told that it is not possible.

This is not at all a complaint. It is an earnest request. I do not want any interest. I am ready even to pay any fine for closing it now.

Please help me. I would also like to know whether I would have any chance if I approach the Consumer Court and that too without harming any of the officials or agents of the Postal Services.

It has happened several times, the ICAI-EIRC has posted a letter at my office address at Kolkata and a copy of which is always sent by them to my permanent address at Kharagpur, but, the letters are received at Kolkata and they take almost a week after that to reach Kharagpur, this problem has persisted since long. Further, the sealed envelopes are seemed to have been opened before reaching at my home in Kharagpur...always and this has been the case almost everytime.
Plz look into the matter immediately and please make a system, so that consumers can lodge their complains at the India Post website.

Mail collection from Post box on chamber road Coppice Oldham OL8 is not regullar. It is done only Once or twice a week. Please do some thing.From last Saturday 27/06/2009 mail is not collected.

My wife was sent rakhi for her brothers dtd. 27.07.2009 but still yet not delivery. who can belive the post office. Post offices are only showing that is a Govt. Post Office. Better services is available in private courier. I don't know why not delivery the speeds post. I thought all post office has closed or under privatsition. Speed post means within 24 hrs. delivery the documents (parcel) to warehouse.
Same case has happend in last year rakhi. Actually our problems come there while no courier delivery facility there villages area.

I had requested for the new RD passbook to the Asst. post master of HO post office udagamadalam on 26-March-2009 and 25-April 2009 for the same account number. I also made several verbal communication with the same person ( Mr. Mani, Asst. Post Master, HO Post office, Udagamadalam, ) regarding the new RD passbook of mine, but it was informed to me that the same account is not available in the post office and could not locate the account of mine.

The post office at tiruvanmiyur, Chennai don't respond properly.
Any work at tiruvanmiyur will be late and also gives very reckless answers.
when called for information about my address proof card, they give an answer to come and enquire. I cannot go out in between my office hours to find out the card has come or not...

The office people should respond properly then only public will like to visit and use the public services.

I open an R.D A/c 3 years back at Haldiyo ka rasta, jaipur(raj.) branch . Now Iwant to close it. But the staff is delaying my closure from last 3 months. I complaint to the supretindent also but the problem is not solved till date. Although the put pressure on me to withdraw my complain before soving my problem.
Also the behaviour is so rude that I can't say to anybody. Also the higher authority are not interesting in solving my problem

I want to draw your kind attention towards this problem that I am going to Head post office Etawah daily for sending money order but your clerk (on window no 3) is not accept my fill up money order form he is saying that “I am busy on another task related to postal order etc so I will not accept your money order. Why are you come here daily? Why are youn’t go to another post office of this city.” While money order is also a service of post office like postal order so why he is neglect and ignore my money order.
I meet to your officer Mr. Singh ( Asstt. Post master) regarding the same but they also favor to Money order clerk. And Mr. Singh laughed at me because my money order value is very low. While there is no any rule for low & more money for sending money order.

This is to also inform you that in your office all clerk’s behavior is not good they always scold on people. They never respect to senior citizens, women and children.

At last I request you please look in to the whole matter and take a solid and proper step for the same.

I am Accounts Officer in Jalna City. We sent Money Order for payment of Salary of Building Rent to the Post Office. Now post office has some E-payment facility and they insist upon Cash payment and even Post office Jalna has not displayed for procedure to be followed for e payment Money order. Because of poor services, we have sent a cheque through private Currier. Is it not for the post office for Commission and postages. When the post office services will be improved ?

i opened a rd account in the name of my daughter, in post office nurpur bedi, distt, ropar, punjab.i have to go there once in a month.the opening time of the post office is 9.00am. but actually working startson 9.40am. every time when i went there, post office open at 9.00am. but the person who have to take the rd, remain absent, he comes on 9.10or 9.15 am.i stood in front of him, there is no queue. but he does not notice any thing. i have to wait for another 30 or40 minutes, so the rd person deal me and take the money. to submitt rd money it takes max. 5 min, but i have to wait for 40 min. this is my experience of a day in a month, how the another people face them who came to the post office.

person with customer dealing should deal the customer first, then they have to do there another work, because we are too employee. we have to go for our works too.

kindly check these, and do best to understand the importance of other person timing

I applied for Proof of Address Card in Post office and I got the card within one months time. Fine there
service is good. But when I want to renew my Passport they are asking for 3 address proof. When I
submit Proof of Address card as one of the proof they told it is not valid. This card is issued by
Goverment of India for Proof of Address, so I dont know why they do not accept. Can anyone help me

I am working as a programmer in an engineering college of Bhubaneswar.As per yor rule this programmer post is under the not teaching staffs and salary is also very low.Since we are also have the master degree and belongs to this non teaching post but always humiliate by teaching staffs .so please eithe change your norms or totally descard these programmer post from all colleges .I am MCA (female) student for some reason i can nt go outside the state and i prefer this job bcoz i prefer programing language.But Due to this norms and regulation of aicte i hate this post.

I have Savings Bank Account with Kanchrapara Post Office (PIN-743145) but I find a great difficulty to make my Pass Book updated through computer printing as the Post Office has only one functional computer printer for thousands of Pass Book. This causes a long que only to make my Pass Book updated.

I lost my recurring deposit passbook what should i want to do.How can i get duplicate one please suggest me.

I have just returned home and found a Christmas present I have bought for my daughter. The package had been unwrapped and the contents were on the floor and naturally damaged. I am fuming! Only the Royal Mail could deliver such a piss-poor service!

Currently on-hold waiting to make a complaint. They're experiencing "an unusually high number of calls at the moment". Why am I not surprised!

The sooner the Royal Mail is replaced by competitive companies the better. I'm sick and tired of being held to ransome by such a shoddy and badly-managed excuse for a service.

One of my relative has invested some amount in the 5years TD at Vidyut Nagar Colony post office Vadodara (Gujarat). Unfortunately she expired in the month of January 2013. She has done nomination in the investment. Nominee has completed all formality by submitting on 13th April 2013.

Post office has not reply till today i.e. on 7th July 2013 but on inquiring they reply that your application is lost between Fetehgunj head post office & VNC post office. So you have to do all procedure again. Now nominee is residing at Mumbai, in this case do you think that nominee should suffer for negligence & mismanagement?

But as I have seen other complaints same thing is done with me we need amount of 2 lakhs. And the service provider visit outside the office and when he came he Sai please come to them at the time of 3.30pm if we need that amount presently so why we come come again to your office.
One more thing we have open one of the account in post office in 2011 when our one NSE dues... My mother open account fixed deposit with same branch. Now we shifted our home and misplace the given passbook. And we told to post master kindly search our document in your record he said give us the number. We don't have written any where the same number. So he Said it is not possible to search It. It means our given cash is destroyed.

This is the first time I've sent it by SAL. Where are the criminal elements, who take the parcels? I think it's in the interest of the Indian handicraft sellers, taylors a.s.on that parcels can be sent home from India to have honest people working at the Parcel Delivery Service.

on 02/04/2008 at 11.09a.m. i availed speed post service from uttarpara post office to deliver some important documents to my son-in-law sri arun singh, cyber building, NGRI, uppal road, hyderabad -500606. I was made to understand from the said p.o. on 2nd april'08 that the consignment will reach to hyderabad within 48 hours. But till today i.e., on 08/04/08 it has not reached. It is my humble request to you to look into the matter .

I have sent a speed post to Ireland where my sister and brother in law live. I have sent it on 24th February 2009 but until now i.e by 3rd March 2009 it has not reached there. I was told that parcel will reach within 5 to 6 days. Dear Sir

I have received a parcel from Pondicherry dated 15/04/2008 and numbered 380244 and the postman is repeatedly not bringing the parcel and giving a letter to my home showing he cant meet me directly. This not for the first time and when I enquired the same with postmaster she informed that the postman was overloaded and he cant bring the same. Since my father informed the postmaster its their duty to bring the same, today the postman brings the parcel to the house and I have signed and given the authorization letter to the house in my mothers name and without looking at the same he informed he cant identify my signature and my mother told him she will produce my Driving license with sign proof in original. But he doesn’t have time to see that also. Once again when I called postmaster in phone she told its not his responsibility to bring the parcel at home and we have to take it from Post Office itself.

If this is the thing why should we citizens of India use Postal Service, and why can’t we use courier instead of this. For this I am ready to approach the Honorable High court of Kerala Against this Postmaster and Postman, Since we are paying a huge amount to postal Department when comparing to other courier Services. And when I lived in Thripunithura Main Post office Area which is huge area I didn’t face the same problem and in this Village post office I am facing so much problems as they are not giving the letters in time such as telephone bills and other utility bills and I have to pay late payment foe all this cases. If you are not taking any valuable solution for this I will go for a suite in High court and Consumer Court of Kerala

I am investing every year in NSC and my 03 Nos of NSC was due on 28/08/09, 28/12/09 & 28/12/09 respectively which was purchased from ANGPP Post office, Anta Distt Baran Rajastan. I have submitted request letter for transfer of same at Gurgaon Road Post office on 04 /11/09 .
As I am regularly following up with Post office and so far I have not got any satisfactory reply.
All private and Government agencies are trying to improve their services in current competitive market situation but it seems that performance of Indian Post office is getting downwards
Concerns are requested to look in to matter and do the needful.

However, I have been conveyed by the concerned quarters that the said parcel has not been received at their end so far (even after about 2 months of dispatch) and I have been asked by them to provide the Proof of Delivery (POD).

But due to sick working culture of Postal Department, we are in loss of nearly Rs. 4 Lacs pending over Postal Deptt, these money are of our Money Order we get from ALL OVER INDIA. Regarding this we have taken help RTI, CIC, DPG & finally to Smt Kalpana Tewari, Dy, Director General (Public Grievances), Deptt of Post, Dak Bhawan, Delhi.

It is very Unfortunate that nothing happened in this case, Deptt of Post is not accountable to anyone. I am sending Xerox copies of complaints I have launched in various deptt. I am really disappointed to see that the officers at higher rank are willing to help us, but in front of idleness of Postal Deptt, they are also unable to do something.

Its is not only the loss of my Money, loss of trust over postal deptt. If we could not survive and unable to cater our Network All Over India. The people whom are getting benefited from remotest places of India, wont get the Medicine, the Doctors of very far outside, wont get necessary Book & Instruments. But who cares.

In the last I would like to request you very humbly, please do something. We are surviving on breakeven point, running very short of money. If we didn’t get some financial help very soon, it will be impossible to survive. Pls help us

i did not get my hall ticket for my P.G course, , rank card, councling letter...and many more, sent by acharaya nagarjuna university, andhrapradesh.When i inquired in post office to Head post master, Guntur(dist.) pattabhipuram post office, Andhra pradesh, they are simply telling that letters did not receive to office.
As i enquired in university, they gave poof of dispatching the hall tickets.
The staff working in this post office, and the area post master(P.srinivasu)are man handling the public & quoting in slum language recklessly.

My father is a central Govt.employee, and we chang our residence according, but no where we faced this kind of problems.students like me and many more may suffer with the behaviour of such staff.

The case is the Post Office of Mahipalpur New Delhi-37 (Rajdhani), i go to the post office mahipalpur (Branch) New Delhi for posting a money order to my mother living at home town Mau (U.P.) and i asking to the lady incharge of that post office for money order form but they not provide money order form and not the proper reasone for booking a money order between 10 A.M. to 12 P.M., and also the said by 3 times in diffrent months ---
1- here is no money order form.
2- here no money order receipt provided by h.O. post office so i can not provided to you----then result is no money order --result is wastage of time by a ordinery persone.
3-third cause they told today i, am buzy come tommorrow.

So, kindly i am requested to appropriate authority to visit / veified/ instruct./audit the Mahipalpur Post office branch and short out the poroblem of that post office so i could reach the post office and booked a money order to my mother.

That problem not only with me but all others persones who is suffering this problem regarding ---register post, money order etc.

Though in some area where other services could not reach Indian Postal services as a part of Govt. obligation reaches and yes in rural areas we have no other option !!!!

While in urban areas... yes email and courier services has kicked Indian Postal Services out of the Competition. Though this are only my views others may differ...
just to suppor5t my view I am telling you that I had done a "SPEED POST" to my relatives from Mathura to Dhanbad and Mathura to Bokaro(two letters) on 07-03-08 but till date 15-03-08 it has still NOT REACHED !!!!! and instead of looking into the issue to get it reach the destination instead they are telling me to lodge a complaint and they will do an enquiry?????

My view is I am not interested in any inquiry instead more interested in the letter to reach its destination!!! after all it was "SPEED POST" the fastest and reliable service from Postal department -- as they claim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sub: complaint against the disrupted service delivery of kanke post office

Dear Sir,

• This is to bring to your kind notice that Applicant is Senior Resident in the Central Institute of Psychiatry Ranchi. He is currently residing at Flat-105, HariRam apartment, opposite holiday home, kanke road Ranchi.
• Through the information displayed outside the Post office Kanke, Ranchi, applicant got to know that bills of electricity can be deposited in the mentioned post office.
• On[protected], applicant deposited his bill no. 12 of November 2008 of amount 77 Rs in kanke Post office through receipt JSEB A ( 00561)/ Consumer no: GK 2510
• When applicant received the bill of December 2008 on 19/01/2009 /bill no: 12 of net amount of 215 Rs that included the bill of November 2008, which applicant had already deposited in kanke post office.
• When applicant enquired from Kanke post office about his added electricity bill, then staff on charge advised applicant to deposit only the electricity bill of December 2008 only excluding the added amount. On 20-1-09, applicant deposited the money of mentioned electricity bill through receipt no: JSEB-A (00700).
• When applicant received the electricity bill of January 2009, then again it was added with previous bills of months November and December 2008, gain applicant enquired from kanke post office about his added bill, then staff on charge told him that mentioned bill should not be deposited in kanke post office, because the residence area of applicant doesn’t come under kanke post office and all previous bills were deposited due to some official mistake and further they expressed their inability to provide any sort of relief and solution to applicant
• Applicant contacted electricity department Kanke road, opposite CM house, then staff on duty told to applicant that department of electricity doesn’t bother on bill depositing system of post office, and they will not enquire any thing regarding this matter from kanke post office and ultimately advised applicant to deposited the total net amount mentioned in electricity bill of January 2009 (including bill of November and December 2008).
• Now applicant has deposited the mentioned amount of January 2009.
• There are many questions emerged from above stated billing procedure, applicant was not given proper information of bill depositing system through post office because of careless attitude of staff of kanke post office.
• However, kanke post office displayed out side its office about the bill depositing facility, but in reality it poses psychological harassment to applicant. Applicant also suffered from his financial loss. Again it is not ensured that applicant will receive smooth service delivery from post office.
• Since kanke post office deposited the amount of electricity bill given by applicant, therefore it the sole responsibility of kanke post office. Kanke post is denying providing any sort of relief to applicant.
• It is evident that the amount of bill applicant deposited in kanke post office, it was not forwarded to electricity department since the mentioned post office claimed to provide such service but in actual status it is not performing. therefore it is deficiency in your service delivery system according to under section 2 (g) consumer protection act 1986 as well as Smt Ramala Roy vs Ravindra Nath Sen, 1994 (I) CPR 66.
• Since you are not performing the service that you have claimed on notice board out side the Kanke post office thereby it is “ Unfair Trade Practice” as per under section 2 (r) ( vi) consumer protection act 1986
• I have reported the above matter to previously also but despite all my pleading, you have not made arrangement for resolution of my grievances. On account of your aforesaid dereliction of duty and failure and neglect to rectify the same, I have suffered loss.
• Therefore you are kindly requested to look in mentioned matter and provide the relief to applicant in term of his financial loss and inconvenience caused by kanke post office after receipt of this notice failing which applicant will be constrained to initiate action against you for redressal of his aforesaid grievances under statuary provision of consumer protection act 1986, exclusively at your own risk, cost responsibility and consequences which please note.

the documents send by me by ems speed post has to reach the required destination within 72 hrs (ref-ED[protected]TN)
its been more than 1 week that MY DOCUMENTS HAVENT BEEN REACHED THE REQUIRED DESTINATION

I am trying to trace my speed post parcel which was sent on 4th april 2008 by passport office bangalore. But when i try to open the sites www.speedpost.org or www.indiapost.org and i don't see any place to enter the the registration number. Even the home page does not look like a Govt Post page. Can some one confirm if the site is working fine and how to check the speed post parcel status.

My original Degree certificate with consignment number EN[protected]IN has been dispatched by JNT university at ABIDS, Hyderabad on 3/4/2008 which is destined to reach Ramachandrapuram, EGDt. But I didnt get any certifcate till now. According to www.indianpost .gov.in, the post is delivered to Ramachandrapuram HO on 8/4/2008. But It didnt reach my house. Who is responsible for this?
