Email Correspondance with Daikin Customer Support and their M.D. Mr. Jawa
Its 6 days since my Daikin A/c broke down and till now there does not seem to be any concern to addressing the problem. Today one Mr. Sunil, Daikin Engineer, came to my house to inspect the A/c along with a couple of channel partner staff and created a situation where I requested them to leave. The idea seem to be finding fault with the electrical connection - High Voltage, Earth not proper, no double booster stabilizer ( I have only a Syscon single booster stabilizer that was installed by your original Authorized Daikin people - Why did they not suggest a double booster then) and coming up with cock and bull stories. This is really frustrating and my request is that the unit be replaced with a normal split (no Inverter crap) as it is clear that the there are problems with Daikin 1 inverter ton A/c. I am not willing to settle for anything less and continue to make my life miserable.
The only option that I have now is to trash your unit in the dust bin and go for a brand that has some concern for customers (with my experience with Samsung, LG and Hitachi for the past 25 years) and not try to be defensive and ignoring customers. I too work in the IT industry for a large corporation and I am appalled by the level of apathy you seem to be showing towards customers.

I too faced the same issue. Only six months back, I had to replace the board in the indoor unit which costs me 6000 rupees. Now the outdoor unit board is also gone. Pathetic product. Need to spread this news to lot of my friends.

I am really worried about after reading all of above comments. As currently I am also facing the same issue as mentioned above i.e.
1. AC has stopped cooling after 2 years.
2. Very poor customer service.
3. DAIKIN doesn't have their setup rather they get it done via channel partners. I had to escalate the matter to their regional manager in Mumbai to get the service after 2 weeks, which literally means I have lost considerable amount of summer time even after having so called DAIKIN AC.
I purchased 1.5 Ton Split inverter AC(FTKP50PRV16) in April 2015 and this is my third year of it's usage and AC has stopped working.
Service engineer came for the first time and told that it's servicing issue, and paid him 1000rs for the servicing but issue remained the same. Then next day another so called senior technician came and diagnosed the issue as gas leakage and went away. Then for almost 10 days nobody turned up. After escalating the matter one guy came and did the check for gas leakage and found that there was no gas leakage. And with his guess work he told me that it could be a PCB issue with outdoor unit as outdoor unit's fan was getting stopped after every 10-15mnts. After 2 days i.e today on 1st May 2018, he installed PCB and told me charges around 8k (not sure whether it's the correct price or not). For now it's cooling but technician told me that there is no guarantee for the PCB, as it's a electronic item.
Really pissed off with the DAIKIN AC because my machine is comparatively new(just 3 year old) and I had paid a big amount of around 50k to purchase it and now it's down and I had to spend again around 10k to get it run and that too with no guarantee.
They call them pioneer of inverter ACs and best in class but they are third class people manufacturing defective products.
I want to know, how can their ACs PCB go down so quickly?
Also, when they are not able to provide sustainability and durability to inverter ACs then they should recall all their models and pay back their customers.
It's a real mental and financial harassment to me.
I want a replacement of this inverter AC with normal AC now and I also want a reimbursement of the amount which I have paid against new PCB replacement.

At the time of installation, Daikin person didn't measure the gas and not shown to us, it is perfect or not..
Didn't tell us about AMC.

Daikin Split AC Inverter 1.5 ton Model FTKH50SRU16 in October 2017 for Rs 43000/- and in just 18 months are passed and my out door unit started trippinng. I lodged complaint with Daikin (VIJ[protected]) and engineer visited my place and after inspection infomed that PCB is burnt due to power surge and needs replacemnt (there is no concept of repair). He informed that this PCB will cost Rs. 14500/- (labour chg extra) which is 33% of original price and there shall be no guarantee for replaced part. Even after replacement only they can check whether orher parts are Ok or not. Further they will arrange spare in 7 days and that too only after paying Rs. 10000/- as advance.
First of all why this part got damaged even when i am using AC with Microtek EM4150 Stablizer. Further there is no voltage fluctuation in my area. This means its company stratagy to use third grade parts which get damage easily and company charges hefty amounts for replacemnt.
Previously used LG Split Ac 3 star with absolutely NIL repairs for 9 years.
One more thing i want to quote that same PCB is available on INDIAMART for Rs. 2000 only.
Why Daikin is looting customers.

Once i have purchased your CRAP then definitely i will have to get it repaird, knowing well that Diakin is pick pocketing. I have no option. Your techician has not even touched PCB. By mere opening it was visible that capacitor is blown. Capacitor of PCB is faulty for this you people are asking to replace PCB and motor unit. Great !!! Keep on looting customers. Since i have no option so i hereby aprove your quotation of LOOT. Please get it repaired as soonest.

Great !!! On public fora you are acknowledging that PCB is faulty. Yesterday your technician visited and replaced both PCB and Fan Motor Unit and charged Rs 12000/- which was paid by cheque. It is clearly visible that replaced PCB is not a new one rather its a repaired one. And for what purpose motor unit is replaced ??? You only infromed on this forum that PCB is faulty. Further please inform rate of PCB and motor unit on this forum only.

I am in receipt of one more complaint through SMS which is VIJ0706201921257070. Provided i have not booked this complaint. In my last post i demanded exact price of PCB and also enquired that why my Motor unit is changed (You guys only posted that PCB is faulty) for which your service centre Charged Rs. 12000. Hoever i have repeatedly informed that only one capacitor (2mfd) on PCB is blown. Further Invoice and payment receipt was also not provided to me. You guys are silent on this loot and till now none of Company official contacted to know about entire matter. This clearly shows that such unethical practices are fully backed / supported / Sponsored by Daikin.

Today morning i.e. on 22.06.2019 i received a call from Daikin call centre which was also recorded for "Quality and training purpose". Call centre executive informed that it was a call back for my call on 14.06.2019 after office hours. WHAT A PROMPT REPLY !!! It was told that my complaint is being escalated to senior officials of Daikin and they are arranging a call back. In response to that call i have already informed that GST bill provided by your authrized service centre M/s Shanmukha Smart Service Ongole (GSTIN 37ADJFS6864L1Z7) has provided a beautiful GST invoice with following qute features (scanned copy sent on your email)
1. Date of invoice missing i.e undated.
2. Rate and quantity supplied is blank.
3. GST rate is mentioned as 28%
4. Total Amount of bill is given as Rs 12006.4 to justify looted amount of Rs 12000.
5. No mention of labour/service charge.
6. Paticulars given as DAIKIN ODU PCB & FAN MOTOR ASSEMBLY SET.
In my previous complaint i have already raised issues
1. How your techician can declare an electrical and electronic part faluty only by visual inspection.

3. In your reply also it was acknwledged that only PCB is faulty then why Motor was replaced.

Thanks for your PROMPT REPLY i.e. after 8 days of so called escalation of my complaint. Anyways i wish to inform you that my registered no as well as my alternate number (duly registwred with Daikin) are very well working. Any official can contact me over these numbers. Further i have already submitted my points of concern and complaint of cheating in writing. Unfortunately i did not receive any written reference from your side. It seems that Daikin is not at all concerned with it and now i am left with last recourse.

My concern is not yet resolved.
Its a clearcut complaint of cheating. Instead of giving me clearity in writing about actual price of spares changed and refunding cheated amount back, you all are doing monkey business. Its pathetic.

I have purchased a daikin 1 ton 3 star inverter split ac through flipkart on 5th April 2019 and installation was done by flipkart associated dealer 'Jeeves consumer services' on 19th April 2019. This ac got break down on 24th August 2019 its outdoor unit is not working PCB board got defective. I contacted with daikin customer care and they are telling that as the installation was done by non daikin authorized service team they will not provide free replacement under warranty. What non-sense is this ? Product is of daikin so daikin should provide free replacement under warranty. Very pathetic experience. I thought daikin is a good brand so i choose daikin but i was completely wrong.

Daikins ACs are the worst i came across.my daikin inverter AC stopped working after 14 months since its pcb got damaged.i wonder how an AC stops working after 14 months only.Their CUSTOMER support is the worst.None of them cared to contact me even after lodging complaint and requesting for repair.Their CUSTOMER support is just automated ###.Never buy daikin ACs.its waste of money.i have never faced such problems with voltas and carrier.both voltas and carrier are working nicely even after 5 years.daikin is just waste of money.

I am facing the same problem in 3 of the 8 Daikin Invertor ACs i had purchased in 2018. We have already changed the board twice. This is probably the last time we are buying Daikin ACs. Just to diagnose the problem they are charging additional Rs. 700 when they already know the problem. So many better options are available in the market which are of superior quality.
Better to avoid buying Daikin when better options are available.

I bought Daikin 5 star 1.5 tonne so better split ac in feb 2019 and by Nov 2020 it gave up. The best part AC was not even running when we had faced a power trip and electrician told that it was due to AC. The two technicians came and both have different opinion. First one said outdoor pcb needs to be changed and the second one suggested for both the units. Also it’s just to start the ac so that they can diagnose it further. And their manager actually lectured me to buy an AMC.
I live in Mumbai with very stable power so fluctuating voltage couldn’t be the cause. Daikin is making substandard products and trying to fool the customer. Using one voltas for 10 years and one Lg for 5 and never faced this.

I just got to know that Daikin has started providing 5 years warranty on PCB which makes sense considering how frequently their PCBs are blowing out. But I kind of feeling cheated as it feels they already knew about the substandard PCBs and as there are many bad publicity for them, they came up with the extended warranty.

I bought Daikin 5 star 1.5 ton split ac in June 2017. Since I purchased the AC it worked perfectly fine for one year and since then facing issue from the AC, Sometime the motor fan got loosen up and other time PCB issue which is the major concern for daikin. As they don't know how to fix it or they are deliberately making such faulty PCB to earn money for there vendors.
I have been using videocon, Voltas and Mistibushi AC but none has been so problematic like Daikin. Really pathetic service, I was trying to get the AMC of there from last one year but they have not given it to me. As they know sooner or later i have to pay hefty amount for the PCB.
Shame on such business ethics.

I am also having same issue. When asked daikin service team they have told me that this is big issue with daikin AC. This is design issue and they have quoted me 9k for Power PCB replacement.
Please do not buy daikin AC specially inverter AC.

They said the PCB of the outdoor unit was gone and they charged me 11, 000 for it and said it will be ok. The next day it stopped working again. I called them again and this time took the whole indoor and outdoor unit to their service center and called me after a week and said that there are multiple other parts that were not working and said it would cost me around 9, 000 again. Is this a joke because it could have been the other part which is at fault. Why charge extra price for unnecessary PCB unit. Is this how you do your business? Making faulty PCB's. I've just went through the other complaints and every single one of them are literally about their PCB units. This is definitely a scam since it is impossible for every single customer to have the same problem right? That too a part which is not covered in the warranty so there is no other option other than to pay for that. I am seriously not okay with what ever scams you guys are doing. Better to close your business. And I wonder how no government bodies take no action even after such miserable things they are doing. Just going through these complaints tells us about your company and services.
It is better to go with other companies like samsung or lg because they work very well and at least do not scam people through such cheap tricks.

If company is unable to provide sustainability and durability to ACs then they should recall all their models and pay back their customers. It's a real mental and financial harassment to my family, especially when having small kid in family
