Issue with Wrongful deduction on credit card

I was trying to do a transaction on a site which didn't go through after after hour i got 10 messages with transaction of 50 each being deducted. I placed a complaint on the same day they asked me to wait for a week and also check wtiith the retailer if they have got the transaction.
