Complaint regarding sales rep bablu kumar from borivali branch.
On 27/6/17 during my last purchase in a scheme with kalyan i had a balance of rs. 930. I had requested that i would give it to my mother to use who also has a scheme with kalyan. At first it was declined and later agreed to do so and gave me a credit letter. I had asked for some kind of confirmation on paper so that she wouldnt have to face any inconvenience. However, i was promised that nothing as such would happen.
Now on 23/7/17 i came with my parents, inlaws husband and 1.5 month old baby to purchase gold (For the baby).
After selecting what i wanted i spoke to him about the credit letter that i had even before i could complete the sales executive bablu kumar interrupted me and shut me off by saying that it cannot happen. On that kind of a response i raised my tone and reminded him of how customer service works and one of the quality is to at least listen to what the customer has to say and to be polite. On this he was on guard and denied that my only frequest to him was that if a customer is saying something so confidently he could have at least acknowledged it and could have checked with the manager. The attitude of this guy was'nt right from the start. Laid back attitude while showing us options, slow service it felt that good customer service would be given only if the value of gold is high (I can relate to it cz the service provided when i purchased my gold was excellent (Aug 2015).
We did have a few challenges with our phone number being updated incorrectly and that led to a long wait time for the billing. It took me around 2.5 hours at kalyan to buy a simple baby waist chain and a small gold earring. Keep in mind with a 1.5 month old baby. During billing he came up to say we had to pay rs. 90 more (It is a small amount but that costed us a lot time)
He had some miscalculation on asking for the feedback book bablu kumar was shamelessly smiling and handed over the feedback book.
As a customer i felt that giving a feedback wouldn't impact him and as a customer i lost my confidence in kalyan jewellers customers experience.
I felt that the feedback book is a joke.
Manager gafoor is very helpful at all times. Special thanks to him.
However that doesnt mean that i can ignore a shameless behavior of bablu kumar.
This is my worst experience and i will no longer hold any schemes from kalyan or purchase gold only because of executives like bablu kumar.
I know loosing out on few customers may not impact you much but it will make a huge difference to me as i wont be dealing with a jeweller who would promote to keep employees like bablu kumar.
Because of sales executives like bablu kumar kalyan is loosing its face value.
I have taken time to explain this is because i am a customer relationship manager and i truly understand and value my customers feedback and opinions. I would never ever shut a customer even before i can complete or indirectly tell them that they are lying.
Your brand used to be famous and excellent that was the reason i chose kalyan for many things but now your employee (Bablu kumars) behavior is the reason for me to be disappointed and leave. Sarah dalvi
