On 23rd April at around 4:00am I booked an Ola Mini from Mahim to Bandra. Upon completion of the trip, the driver said he didn't see how much I had to pay for the trip and closed the app (or something on those lines). He asked me if i knew how much I had to pay and I did because I tried completing the payment while on the way but it didn't go through. I tried GPaying him Rs. 258 but one of our bank servers or GPay servers were down so the payment didn't go through. I then paid him Rs. 260 in cash and left.
The next morning I booked an Ola to go somewhere else, and after this ride was completed and i made the payment, I saw that there was Rs. 258 deducted from my OlaMoney Wallet and I had to repay it.
Since that day I have been trying to get in touch with someone from the company to discuss this with but I haven't been able to find anyone. I've raised a complaint about the same on the Ola app multiple times but they keep saying "We are unable to process this request due to a technical issue. Please contact us for resolving this issue." but no contact information is provided.
On May 12th, I was told on the app "Any extra cash payment made to a driver is outside the scope of Ola payment system". I once again raised the same complaint hoping to get in touch with an actual person but despite calling every number I could find for Ola, none of them responded. Throughout this, the late fees have been adding up and I haven't been given the chance to explain my situation to anyone. All I get are a hundred spam calls asking me to clear my dues and not a single one asking me about the complaint I raised.
Eventually I got a call from an Ola representative that was an actual person. However, even she wasn't ready to listen to me and started saying it was my fault and asked me to pay the dues in an extremely rude manner. Once again the process of receiving 30+ spam calls everyday started and now I have been sent a whatsapp message saying "Our Executive is on the way and he will reach at your residential address with LEGAL Notice today anytime before 2 PM".
This is extremely unfair. They have sent a legal notice and are showing up to my house before they've called to understand why I have raised the same complaint multiple times. I'm just looking for my Ola postpaid dues to cleared because as i explained, I have already made the payment in cash. I would also like to opt out of their postpaid plan to avoid such scenarios in the future. Was this information helpful? |
