I have been travelling by different bus services frequently since the past 15 yrs but i have never had such a horrifying experience such as i just had recently on orange travels. I booked a bus ticket to travel from mangalore to raichur but around 2 hrs after boarding the bus, the driver tells me that the bus doesn't go to raichur at all. Instead, they'll drop me at 3 am at a place which i've never heard of which is around 100 km from my actual destination!! After arguing with the bus driver he told me that it's not his fault and that orange travels has been doing this the past 3 months and not giving people any clear information on he fact that no orange travels buses go from mangalore to raichur. I called the orange travels head office while on the bus, demanding how i would get to raichur, to high they told me that i'd have to get down at 3 am and take a local bus to raichur for the next 3 hrs trip myself. What kind of criminals do that to a passenger?? Why did i pay 1500 inr for a safe trip to raichur just to get dropped at an unknown location, on the roadside, in the middle of the night??? Why could they not have the decency to inform me after i booked the tickets that they will never go to raichur after they let me book a ticket to that place??? Finally, i was dropped at 4 am on the roadside, following which i walked around 800 metres with my bags to the bus stand. (The driver didn't even have the decency to drop me at the next bus stand even at 4 am) i then got a local bus by which it took 2 and a half hrs to finally reach raichur.
At the end of this whole ordeal, i reached raichur nearly 4 hrs later than the time i was supposed to as per the false ticket i was issued.
Never in my life have i gone through so much trouble on a bus trip.
I'd like to know if any of the people responsible for this happening would allow their own sisters or mothers, wives or daughters to go through such a thing. Shame on them all. Shame on them for their idiotic excuses saying "it's a technical error". Shame on them for lying and saying it's been 10 days with this issue when it's been 3 months. Was this information helpful? |
