Had made a booking of a room in Hotel Rama Inn as per details in the mail trail. OYO sent a mail to me asking me to make a partial (50%) of the rent for the proposed 2 days' stay saying that my accommodation was partially reserved and it would be confirmed on payment of 50% of the total rent as the property had a heavy demand . I paid it too (Please refer to the attached bank statement as proof of having paid the amount. However, I came to the hotel (Hotel Rama Inn) from the airport on 9th Sep 2021. The hotel staff denied me "check in" saying the booking had been transferred. I tried calling OYO customer care. But it connected to IVR only. I could never get customercare officials online. I along with my family had to stand on the roadside, waiting for the taxi on the roadside in the dark.
The prime questions are as to who will pay for the security risk we (my family - myself, my missus and a child of 13 years) faced in the darkness of an unlighted roadside and why OYO is still keeping unprofessional hotel partners and harassing customers like this. What is the meaning of confirmation and then booking transfer? Are we supposed to roam around for no fault of ours but because of OYO hotel partners' unprofessional and unethical behaviour?
